Request for clarification: "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks
I am writing to share my frustration regarding the app review process for my application. My current submission has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks, starting from February 5th. Although I have attempted to cancel and resubmit periodically, there were significant gaps of 10 and 21 days between submissions where no action was taken. Currently, I am stuck again. The situation is critical for the following reasons: Critical Bug: The update includes a necessary fix for an In-App Purchase bug that is preventing users from accessing paid features. No Communication: I have sent four inquiries regarding this delay. I received only one generic response asking me to wait, and my subsequent follow-ups have been completely ignored. Expedited Review Request: My requests for an Expedited Review have also gone unanswered. Apple’s standard review time is typically 24-48 hours, but my experience is far from that. I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking for basic transparency regarding why my app has been stalled for nearly two months. Could anyone from the review team please look into this or provide an explanation? This prolonged silence is causing significant issues for my service and its users. Unable to Change Primary Locale for 4–6 Year Old Live App – “Missing Screenshots” Error Despite All Assets Uploaded
Hi everyone, We’re facing an issue while trying to change the Primary Language / Primary Locale of a long-standing live iOS app in App Store Connect. The app has been live for 4–6+ years. When attempting to update the Primary Locale from App Information, we receive the following error: “Primary Locale couldn’t be saved because you must first provide all the required screenshots for each version in this language.” However: The target localization (English – UK) already exists. All required screenshot sets are uploaded. No screenshot sections are blank (iPhone and iPad – all visible display sizes). Both the live version and the version in review contain complete screenshot sets. No Apple Watch or iMessage extensions are currently included in the build. A clean build has been uploaded and selected. Removing the version from review does not resolve the issue. There are no visible validation errors in the UI. This appears to be either: A hidden backend validation requirement, A legacy platform association, Or a Primary Locale lock tied to the app’s original configuration. Has anyone successfully changed the Primary Locale for an older live app recently? Is there a known limitation for apps created several years ago? Would appreciate any insight before escalating further. Thanks in advance.

In-App Purchase works in Sandbox & TestFlight, but App Review reports “No action on Subscribe button”
Hello everyone, I’m facing a persistent App Store rejection under Guideline 2.1(b) – App Completeness, related to In-App Purchases, and I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my end. Issue reported by Apple Review Apple Review team reports: “No action occurred when we attempted to buy the subscription.” Device: iPad Air 11-inch (M3) OS: iPadOS 26.4.1 What I have verified from my side I have thoroughly tested the subscription flow under multiple scenarios: Sandbox Testing Using sandbox test accounts Product loads correctly Purchase flow completes successfully Apple payment sheet appears properly TestFlight Testing Installed app via TestFlight Logged in with real Apple ID (Beta tester) Successfully completed subscription purchase Device Testing Tested on multiple iPhones Tested on iPad as well Purchase flow works correctly on all devices App Store Connect Configuration Paid Apps Agreement → Active Banking & Tax → Completed (no pending warnings) In-App Purchase status → “In Review” Product is correctly configured and attached to app What Apple is experiencing Based on their feedback and screenshots: Subscription screen loads correctly Product price is visible When tapping “Subscribe Now” → no action occurs No error message, no purchase sheet Is there a recommended workaround or reviewer instruction to avoid this deadlock? Any insights or real-world experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Lookify: AI Virtual Try-On — Stuck in "Waiting for Review" | 2 Months
Hello Apple Developer Community and App Review Team, I'm writing to seek guidance regarding my app Lookify: AI Virtual Try-On (App ID: 6757718224), which has been caught in an ongoing review cycle since February 15, 2026 — nearly two months ago. Submission History: Date Version Status Feb 15 iOS 1.1.0 Removed Feb 19 iOS 1.1.0 Removed Feb 21 iOS 1.1.0 Removed Apr 3 (2:21 AM) iOS 1.1.0 Removed Apr 3 (1:17 PM) iOS 1.1.0 Removed Apr 6 (current) iOS 1.1.0 Waiting for Review Each submission was either self-removed after extended waiting periods with no reviewer feedback, or removed to address potential issues — only to re-enter the queue with the same outcome. The current submission has now been in "Waiting for Review" status since April 6 with no activity, no messages, and no indication of progress. What I've done to comply: Updated the Privacy Policy to be fully GDPR and KVKK compliant Provided clear demo account credentials and usage instructions for the AI try-on feature Ensured all metadata, screenshots, and descriptions accurately reflect the app's functionality Reviewed Apple's App Review Guidelines thoroughly before each resubmission I understand that AI-powered apps — especially those involving visual try-on technology — may require closer scrutiny, and I fully respect that process. I'm not asking to bypass any review step. I simply ask for transparency: if there is an issue with the app, a rejection with specific feedback would allow me to address it immediately. This app represents months of development work. As a small independent developer, prolonged uncertainty without communication makes it very difficult to plan or improve. My request: Could anyone from the App Review team or community provide insight into: Whether there is an active flag or concern on this submission What the expected timeline might be for accounts with this submission history Whether an Expedited Review would be appropriate given this timeline I have also submitted a contact request through the official App Review contact form. I am fully committed to making any necessary changes — I just need to know what they are. Thank you sincerely for your time and assistance. Mustafa Bilgiç Developer, PlayTools

How flexible is my app's age rating?
My current app is a smoking cessation app and it is desgined to help people quit smoking for good. Currently users of the app are expected to set a quit date and then remain quit from cigarettes for 12 weeks. The app helps with this by using badges, notifications and even live chats to stop smoking professionals (depending on your area). The app "frequently" mentions smoking and tobacco, but it never promotes it. It does the opposite. By mentioning the harms of smoking and the benefits of stopping. The app also mentions (and can provide, depending on your area, medical history and a professionals final opinion) about nicotine replacement therapy, which users who are quitting smoking may be interested in. Currently the app is rated 18+ as I have to tick "frequent" mention of drugs/tobacco/alcohol in the age rating questionnaire. Though it does not mention recreational drugs or alcohol. We will soon be adding a large update to the app to add vaping support. The app will change largely in the fact smoking content and vaping content will be siloed from each other. So a user can either be on a smoking support journey (and see stop smoking content), or a vape support journey (and only see vaping content). We need the app to be 13+ on the store and we will enforce age restrictions using the declared age range API as part of the account creation process. If the user is aged 13 - 17, they will only see vape related content, if they are 18+ they can see vaping OR smoking. How negotiable is the age rating certificate, can we change it to 13+ if we implement age restrictions in the app and protect stop smoking related content behind it?

MIDI Drag-and-drop to Logic Pro via NSItemProvider
Logic Pro recently changed the way it accepts drag and drop. If the ItemProvider contains UTType.midi, then Logic Pro shows visual feedback for the drop operation, but when the item is dropped, nothing happens. In the past, drag-and-drop used to work. With today's version (Logic Pro 11.2), the only way I was able to successfully drop MIDI was to provide UTType.fileURL and no other data types. But that's not a viable solution; I need other data types to be included too. As a side note, I tested with Ableton Live 12 and it works with no issue. Is this a bug in Logic Pro? What ItemProvider structure does Logic Pro expect to correctly receive the MIDI data?

AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent returns error but no URLSession metrics for failed HLS playlist/segment requests
Hello, I am using AVMetrics to monitor HLS playback requests from AVPlayer, specifically AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent and AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent. These events provide an AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent. For successful requests, I can read URLSession metrics. However, when a request fails, the event contains an error but no URLSession metrics. I reproduced this by intercepting HLS playlist and segment requests with Charles Proxy and forcing failures on both the simulator and a physical device. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there any supported way to get timing details for failed HLS requests? I am using code like this: for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent.self) { // ... } for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent.self) { // ... } Also, the example shown in the WWDC session does not compile for me (XCode 26.2). I get the following error: Pack expansion requires that '' and 'AVMetricEvent' have the same shape let playerItem: AVPlayerItem = ... let ltkuMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemLikelyToKeepUpEvent.self) let summaryMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemPlaybackSummaryEvent.self) for await (metricEvent, publisher) in ltkuMetrics.chronologicalMerge(with: summaryMetrics) { // send metricEvent to server }

App approved but subscriptions not working: Says localization was rejected without providing any reason
Submitted my app and it was approved by Apple. I then downloaded it from the app store and went through onboarding however when I tried to complete a purchase it failed. Went back to app store connect and saw that there is an issue with my subscriptions. Says localization is rejected but does not provide any reason why. Any ideas?? Everything worked fine with sandbox account.

Good morning NSPersistentCloudKitContainer share URL stays nil and mirroring repeatedly resets after CKError.zoneNotFound on stale Core Data share zone
I am debugging a CloudKit sharing issue in an iOS app that uses NSPersistentCloudKitContainer with Core Data backed sharing. The symptom is that collaboration/share creation appears to succeed locally, but the resulting CKShare never gets a server-backed URL. UICloudSharingController therefore cannot proceed because share.url remains nil. (I do see the UICloudSharingcontroller Dialog and am abble to select people to share, one executed the share icon in the message window just spins After adding extensive logging, it looks like the real problem is not the sharing UI itself, but that Core Data + CloudKit mirroring is already in a bad state before share presentation begins. What I am seeing: Repeated CloudKit import failures with CKError.partialFailure The partial failure always contains one stale share zone with: • CKError.zoneNotFound • server message: "Zone does not exist" Core Data then repeatedly logs: • NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateWillResetSyncNotificationName • reason: ZoneDeleted • followed by a full mirroring reset Only after that reset loop do I attempt to prepare the collaboration share fetchShare(object:) returns a share record named cloudkit.zoneshare participants is 1 but share.url remains nil forever, even after polling for ~20 attempts / ~20+ seconds Representative log sequence: CoreData+CloudKit ... Fetch finished with error: <CKError ... "Partial Failure"... partial errors: { com.apple.coredata.cloudkit.share.33781809-778A-461C-ABAB-872746C8F80D:defaultOwner = <CKError ... "Zone Not Found" (26/2036); server message = "Zone does not exist"> }> NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateWillResetSyncNotificationName reason: 'ZoneDeleted' NSCloudKitMirroringDelegateDidResetSyncNotificationName reason: 'ZoneDeleted' Preparing collaboration share for cruise 'Share 658' Fetching existing collaboration share for cruise 'Share 658' Fetch existing collaboration share result: found record='cloudkit.zoneshare' url='nil' participants='1' You cannot get the URL of a share until it's been saved to the server Collaboration share URL polling attempt 1/20 ... ... Collaboration share URL polling attempt 20/20 ... Collaboration share 'cloudkit.zoneshare' never produced a URL Important detail: This stale-zone Zone Not Found / ZoneDeleted reset cycle happens before the collaboration flow starts, so it looks like sharing is running inside an already unhealthy mirroring state rather than causing the corruption itself. Questions: Is this a known failure mode where a deleted/stale Core Data CloudKit share zone can keep the mirroring delegate in a reset loop and prevent newly fetched/created CKShare objects from ever receiving a server URL? Is there an Apple-recommended way to recover from this in development besides deleting the app / resetting local data / clearing CloudKit development data? Is there any supported way to identify and purge stale share metadata or orphaned Core Data share zones without fully resetting the local store? If fetchShare returns a CKShare whose record exists locally as cloudkit.zoneshare but url stays nil, does that generally mean the share was never fully saved to the server, or can mirroring-reset churn itself prevent the URL from materializing? Environment: • iOS app • Core Data + NSPersistentCloudKitContainer • CloudKit sharing enabled • issue observed in development environment At this point my working theory is: • stale/deleted share zone in CloudKit development environment • NSPersistentCloudKitContainer import repeatedly hits zoneNotFound • mirroring resets continuously • collaboration share can be fetched locally but never becomes server-backed enough to produce share.url If anyone from Apple or anyone who has hit this exact ZoneDeleted reset loop has guidance on the correct recovery path, I’d appreciate it.

DHCP broken when device wakeup
Many times the device totally lost connectivity, WIFI is completely down, no ip was assigned after device wakeup. From system log I can see BPF socket for DHCP was closed and detached right after attached to en0 in DHCP INIT phase, as result even the DHCP server sent back OFFER(I see server sent OFFER back from packet capture), but there is no persistent BPF socket since it is closed reception during the entire INIT phase. It is definitely an OS issue, is it a known issue? Please help understand Why BPF socket was close right after sending DISCOVER? Project xcodeproj file can no longer by iCloud Sync
Following an unexpected error message while working in Xcode, the project file xcodeproj is no longer synced in iCloud Drive. The Finder shows a cloud icon with a ! and an error message : (NSFileProviderErrorDomain error -2005.) If the local file is zipped, and unzipped elsewhere on iCloud Drive, then the unzipped file can still not be iCloud Synced. Restoring the file from a Time Machine archive does not solve the issue. Apple Care Support finds that iCloud Drive is working fine except for this xcodeproj file and says the issue is Xcode related.

Xcode 26.4 won't install simulators, just spins the beachball
Something happened with my Xcode 26.4 install, I've never had this happen before. I get Xcode 26.4 installed, but the simulators aren't installed. And nothing pops up to "install required simulators". In Devices & Simulators I click the + to install a new simulator, and the beachball just spins and Xcode becomes unresponsive. I've tried quitting and restarting Xcode, reinstalling it (using both xcodes command line tool and the app store), removing Xcode and reinstalling, rebooting after removing Xcode and before reinstalling. Not sure what to try next. Feels like something is left over from uninstalling that's hanging it up. But I've no idea what. I could use some Apple Xcode team help here.

How to Validate Now Playing Events on Apple Devices (iOS/tvOS)?
Hi Support Team, I need some guidance regarding Now Playing metadata integration on Apple platforms (iOS/tvOS). We are currently implementing Now Playing events in our application and would like to understand: How can we enable or configure logging for Now Playing metadata updates? Is there any recommended way or tool to verify that Now Playing events are correctly sent and received by the system (e.g., Control Center / external devices)? Are there any debugging techniques or best practices to validate metadata updates during development? Our app is currently in the development phase, and we are working towards meeting Video Partner Program (VPP) requirements. Any documentation, tools, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your support.

EXC_BAD_ACCESS in drawHierarchy(in:afterScreenUpdates:) on iOS 26.3.1+ — IOSurface CIF10 decompression crash
We're experiencing an EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) crash in UIView.drawHierarchy(in:afterScreenUpdates: false) that occurs only on iOS 26.3.1 and later. It does not reproduce on iOS 26.3.0 or earlier. Crash Stack Thread 0 (Main Thread) — EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS 0 libvDSP.dylib vConvert_XRGB2101010ToARGB8888_vec 1 ImageIO IIOIOSurfaceWrapper_CIF10::CopyImageBlockSetWithOptions 2 ImageIO IIOImageProviderInfo::CopyImageBlockSetWithOptions 3 ImageIO CGImageReadGetBytesAtOffset 4 CoreGraphics CGAccessSessionGetBytes 5 CoreGraphics img_data_lock 6 CoreGraphics CGSImageDataLock 7 CoreGraphics ripc_AcquireImage 8 CoreGraphics ripc_DrawImage 9 CoreGraphics CGContextDrawImage 10 UIKitCore -[UIView(Rendering) drawHierarchy:afterScreenUpdates:] The crash occurs during 10-bit CIF10 → 8-bit ARGB8888 pixel conversion when the IOSurface backing a UIImageView in the view hierarchy is deallocated mid-render. How to Reproduce Display a scrollable list with multiple UIImageViews loaded via an async image library Call drawHierarchy(in: bounds, afterScreenUpdates: false) on visible cells periodically Scroll to trigger image recycling Crash occurs sporadically — more likely under memory pressure or rapid image recycling What We've Tried Both UIKit off-screen rendering approaches crash on iOS 26.3.1: Approach Result drawHierarchy(afterScreenUpdates: false) EXC_BAD_ACCESS in CIF10 IOSurface decompression view.layer.render(in:) EXC_BAD_ACCESS in Metal (agxaAssertBufferIsValid) iOS Version Correlation iOS 26.3.0 and earlier: No crash iOS 26.3.1 (23D8133)+: Crash occurs (~5 events per 7 days) We suspect the ImageIO security patches in iOS 26.3 (CVE-2026-20675, CVE-2026-20634) may have changed IOSurface lifecycle timing, exposing a race condition between drawHierarchy's composited buffer read and asynchronous IOSurface reclamation by the OS. Crash Data We sampled 3 crash events: Event 1 (iOS 26.3.1): 71 MB free memory — memory pressure Event 2 (iOS 26.3.1): 88 MB free memory — memory pressure Event 3 (iOS 26.3.2): 768 MB free memory — NOT memory pressure Event 3 shows this isn't purely a low-memory issue. The IOSurface can be reclaimed even with ample free memory, likely due to async image recycling. Question Is this a known regression in iOS 26.3.1? Is there a safe way to snapshot a view hierarchy containing IOSurface-backed images without risking EXC_BAD_ACCESS? Should drawHierarchy gracefully handle the case where an IOSurface backing store is reclaimed during the render? Any guidance or workarounds would be appreciated. We've also filed this as Feedback (will update with FB number after submission).

StoreKit / react-native-iap – Payment deducted but no transaction returned (India UPI users)
Hello, We are facing an issue with In-App Purchases (subscriptions) in two iOS apps built with React Native + react-native-iap. Issue Some users receive the error: E_CONNECTION_CLOSED during the purchase flow. However: The payment is successfully deducted via the App Store. The subscription appears in the user's Apple ID subscription list. But on our side: The app does not receive the StoreKit transaction callback No receipt or transaction ID is delivered Our backend cannot validate the purchase. Restore Purchases When affected users try Restore Purchases, StoreKit returns: No purchases found even though the subscription is visible in their Apple ID. Most affected users are from India, and many payments are made via UPI through App Store billing. Has anyone experienced a case where: *the user is charged *the subscription exists in Apple ID *but StoreKit never returns the transaction or receipt? Any suggestions on how to recover these transactions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

MapKit SwiftUI Map with .standard(elevation: .realistic) falls back to 2D in globe mode, while .hybrid(elevation: .realistic) remains 3D
Overview When using SwiftUI Map with .standard(elevation: .realistic) and a globe-style presentation, the map unexpectedly renders as a flat 2D map instead of a 3D globe / realistic terrain view. In the same view, switching to .hybrid(elevation: .realistic) preserves the expected 3D globe behavior. This appears to be a rendering bug or regression specific to the .standard style under globe mode, not an app-level issue. The issue is reproducible in my app’s competition map screen and has also been reported by other developers online. Steps to Reproduce Create a SwiftUI Map. Bind it to a MapCameraPosition. Apply a standard map style with realistic elevation: .mapStyle(.standard(elevation: .realistic)) Configure the UI so the user can switch between: standard + globe hybrid + globe Zoom out / interact with the map in globe mode. Expected Results Map with .standard(elevation: .realistic) should continue to render with globe / 3D realistic terrain behavior, consistent with realistic elevation support and similar to .hybrid(elevation: .realistic). Actual Results When the map style is .standard(elevation: .realistic) in globe mode, the map falls back to a flat 2D-looking representation. Changing the same map to .hybrid(elevation: .realistic) restores the expected 3D globe rendering. Regression Unknown, but this appears to be unintended behavior because: realistic elevation is intended to provide realistic terrain / 3D map rendering, and there are no overlays in this map configuration that should intentionally force the map into a flat representation. Minimal Relevant Code From My App private enum CompetitionMapMode: String, CaseIterable { case satellite case explore func mapStyle(look: CompetitionMapLook) -> MapStyle { switch self { case .satellite: return .hybrid(elevation: look.elevation) case .explore: return .standard(elevation: look.elevation) } } } private enum CompetitionMapLook: String, CaseIterable { case globe case flat var elevation: MapStyle.Elevation { switch self { case .globe: return .realistic case .flat: return .flat } } } Map(position: $cameraPosition, selection: $selectedMapItemID) { UserAnnotation() ForEach(mapDisplayItems) { item in Annotation( item.title, coordinate: item.coordinate, anchor: .bottom ) { mapAnnotationView(for: item) } .tag(item.id) } } .mapStyle(mapModeSelection.mapStyle(look: mapLookSelection)) Why I Believe This Is a Framework Bug The same Map instance renders correctly in 3D when using: .hybrid(elevation: .realistic) but falls back to 2D with: .standard(elevation: .realistic) under globe mode. This suggests the issue is tied specifically to the .standard rendering path in SwiftUI Map / MapKit, rather than camera state, annotations, or location handling. My map does include annotations, but it does not add overlays that would intentionally flatten realistic terrain. Environment Xcode: Xcode 26.4 (17E192) SDK: SDK Version 26.4 (23E237) Device: iPhone 17 Pro iOS version: iOS 26.5 Beta 2 Reproducibility: Always App type: SwiftUI app using MapKit Map Additional Notes The issue is visible in a production app screen, not only a toy sample. The problem appears style-specific: .standard(elevation: .realistic) → incorrect 2D fallback .hybrid(elevation: .realistic) → expected 3D behavior This makes standard map style unusable for globe presentation in my app.

Hello, I am using AVMetrics to monitor HLS playback requests from AVPlayer, specifically AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent and AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent. These events provide an AVMetricMediaResourceRequestEvent. For successful requests, I can read URLSession metrics. However, when a request fails, the event contains an error but no URLSession metrics. I reproduced this by intercepting HLS playlist and segment requests with Charles Proxy and forcing failures on both the simulator and a physical device. Is this expected behavior? If so, is there any supported way to get timing details for failed HLS requests? I am using code like this: for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSPlaylistRequestEvent.self) { // ... } for try await event in playerItem.metrics(forType: AVMetricHLSMediaSegmentRequestEvent.self) { // ... } Also, the example shown in the WWDC session does not compile for me (XCode 26.2). I get the following error: Pack expansion requires that '' and 'AVMetricEvent' have the same shape let playerItem: AVPlayerItem = ... let ltkuMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemLikelyToKeepUpEvent.self) let summaryMetrics = item.metrics(forType: AVMetricPlayerItemPlaybackSummaryEvent.self) for await (metricEvent, publisher) in ltkuMetrics.chronologicalMerge(with: summaryMetrics) { // send metricEvent to server }

Our compliance with the Digital Services Act is still under review after more than a month. We have sent several emails to Apple, but have received no response. Furthermore, we cannot find any information or links to submit new information or restart the review. What should we do? We need to publish our application in Europe.
