iOS crash: EXC_BAD_ACCESS in iOS 26+ when mouting/dismounting WebView
I'm experiencing a native crash on iOS 26+ with WebKit with title: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS). The stack trace points to UIKit/WebKit animation and context menu handling, and the crash occurs while a WebView is presented or dismissed. Apple reviewer not seeing product pricing in paywall
Hello, I have a perplexing issue with apple reviewers not having the same experience as myself regarding the paywall. This is an Expo app and uses RevenueCat and SuperWall integrations. This app is going through its first review - it is not published yet. So the app and its subscriptions are being reviewed for the first time. I should also mention that this is my first time as an app developer, so please pardon my ignorance. When I install the app from TestFlight and launch it, I see the paywall with the product prices shown and I can complete a test purchase. Same for my friends who I've asked to test for me. But the apple reviewer does not see the product prices when the paywall is shown to them. Without being able to replicate the problem I am flying blind. I don't want to re-submit the app for review only to find the same problem exists. I also need to understand what is different between my testing environment and the apple testers. If anyone can point me in the right direction here I would really appreciate the help!

Notice of Termination. How to contact Apple and restore my account and apps?
Received email from Apple with title "notification of apple Developer Program License Agreement (“DPLA”) violation." We're writing to inform you that your company isn't in compliance with the Apple Developer Program License Agreement (DPLA). Section 11.2 (Termination) states: (g) if You engage, or encourage others to engage, in any misleading, fraudulent, improper, unlawful or dishonest act relating to this Agreement, including, but not limited to, misrepresenting the nature of Your Application (e.g., hiding or trying to hide functionality from Apple’s review, falsifying consumer reviews for Your Application, engaging in payment fraud, etc.). Be aware that manipulating App Store chart rankings, user reviews or search index may result in the loss of your developer program membership. Please address this issue promptly. Same day i response that do not did any actions from this list or similar to them, describing every point. Next day i received response Thank you for your reply. As noted in the original notification, manipulating App Store chart rankings, user reviews, or search index is a violation of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement (DPLA) and may result in the loss of your Developer program membership. We suggest you conduct internal investigations to ensure you and any third-parties you may work with are in compliance with the DPLA and App Store Review Guidelines. We also encourage you to closely monitor your app activities. If you notice any unusual activity in the future, please follow these steps: Sign in to App Store Connect > Contact Us > Report a Concern > Report a Fraud Concern. We are unable to provide additional information at this time. Thank you for your efforts to make the App Store a safe and enjoyable experience for users and a great opportunity for all developers to be successful. I made response, that i checked everything, only one problem was in backend functionality working badly, but already fixed it (it was not about Apple license rules, it is just one of app functionalities returns error instead of answer. And it was fixed) Also i asked if current problem is solved and write emails if something else needs to be fixed. But no any responses was, and in 20 days i received email "Notice of Termination" Pursuant to Section 3.2(f) of the ADP Agreement, you agreed that you would not “commit any act intended to interfere with any of the Apple Software or Services, the intent of this Agreement, or Apple’s business practices including, but not limited to, taking actions that may hinder the performance or intended use of the App Store, Custom App Distribution, TestFlight, Xcode Cloud, Ad Hoc distribution, or the Program…” Apple has good reason to believe that you violated this Section due to documented indications of fraudulent conduct associated with your account. ... "AppStoreConnect -> Contact Us" page not working, because i cannot log in for it. Please help to resolve this problem: How to contact with apple in a fast way to describe that i did not do any actions that are not in compliance and find a way to fix and restore account and app. App used Auto-renewable subscriptions, so we have maximum 1 week to restore app before subscriptions automatically canceling At least, how to get payments for subscriptions that was already collected by app. Apple wrote "If applicable, no further payments will be made to you pursuant to Section 7.1 of the Paid Applications agreement (Schedules 2 and 3 to the ADP Agreement)." But i ready to prove and discuss that I am not at fault, and if there is fault in the third-party companies promoting my app - the promotion will be stoped

AID A000000308000010000100 seems mandatory to communicate with any smart card through TKSmartCardSlotNFCSession
I am using the CryptoTokenKit API in order to communicate with smart cards through NFC, with TKSmartCardSlotNFCSession. I call the createNFCSlotWithMessage method from TKSmartCardSlotManager, which displays successfuly the NFC dialog. However, when I put any smart card next to the phone, the NFC dialog shuts down instantly. I notice the following log in the system console: -[_NFReaderSession(Entitlement) validateAID:allowsPrefixMatch:]:317 Non-permissible identifier: A000000308000010000100 When I add the A000000308000010000100 AID mentioned in the error message to the Info.plist of my application, the NFC dialog does not shut down anymore and I am able to communicate with the smart card (using TKSmartCard). This behavior has been reproduced on an iPhone 16e, iOS 26.4. This AID does not correspond to anything in the smart card. It seems to be related to PIV, but this behavior also occurs with cards that are not PIV (PKCS#15...). Also, with an implementation using CoreNFC API instead of CryptoTokenKit API, this AID is not needed to be able to communicate with the card, so it seems CryptoTokenKit-specific. I did not find anything related to this in the documentation, have I missed something here ? Is this a special AID that is required all the time to work with NFC through CryptoTokenKit ?

Is continuous background GPS tracing during device idle allowed?
We want to implement continuous GPS tracking in a React Native iOS app for security purposes. We need the tracing in the following case scenarios: App is Terminated App is minimised (Not killed) App is open and device is put to sleep mode #Locked App is in minimised and device is put to sleep mode #Locked (sleep mode) Currently it works in following 2 scenarios: Working when the app open in foreground Works when the app is killed (Traces in background) We would like to understand: Is continuous background location tracking during device idle allowed in iOS ? If allowed, what is the recommended approach to ensure reliable tracking? Are there any specific configurations, permissions, or limitations (battery optimization, system restrictions) we should be aware of? We are using React-Native by transistersoft with background location updates enabled and required permissions configured. This use case is specifically for user safety and security tracking. Any guidance on best practices and platform limitations would be helpful.

Cant update account information or switch to org membership
Hi everyone, I need to update the "Membership details" of my Apple Developer account and for some reason it won't let me. When I click on "Update your information" and select either "Change contact details" or "Switch to organization membership" I just get redirected to https://developer.apple.com/unauthorized This is an old account I'm trying to re-activate, my Apple Developer Program membership has expired. Will renewing the membership solve this? I want to "Switch to organization membership", Will I have to pay again for this? Thanks!

Unusually long “Waiting for Review” times this week (App Store + TestFlight delays?)
Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing unusually long review waiting times and wanted to ask if others see the same behavior this week. My situation: • App Store update has been in “Waiting for Review” significantly longer than usual • A newly submitted build also seems stuck • TestFlight processing is slower than I normally see • Expedited review request and contact attempts didn’t change the status so far What confuses me is that I still see other apps receiving updates, so I’m unsure whether this is a broader review delay or something submission-specific. I’m not trying to escalate anything — just looking to understand if this is currently affecting more developers. Would really appreciate hearing about your recent experiences. Thanks and good luck to everyone waiting 🙂

Flutter iOS Project: WidgetKit Extension Not Embedding / Build Cycle Error
Hi, I need your opinion about an issue we faced while trying to implement an iOS widget in our Flutter app. Here is what we did and the problems we encountered: We created a Widget Extension (SwiftUI + WidgetKit) inside the existing Flutter iOS project. The widget files were generated correctly (Widget.swift, WidgetBundle.swift, Info.plist, etc.). However, during the integration, we faced multiple issues: Build Cycle Error We repeatedly got: “Cycle inside Runner; building could produce unreliable results” This was related to embedding the widget extension into the Runner target. Embed Problems Sometimes Xcode did not automatically create the “Embed App Extensions” phase. When we added it manually → build cycle errors appeared. When we removed it → the widget was not embedded at all (no PlugIns folder in Runner.app). Duplicate / Conflicting Embed The extension appeared both in: “Embed Foundation Extensions” “Frameworks, Libraries, and Embedded Content” Removing one often broke the build or removed the other as well. Widget Not Appearing Even when build succeeded: Widget did not appear on device PlugIns/Widget.appex was missing from build output Flutter Linking Errors In another test project, we got: Undefined symbol: _FlutterMethodChannel Undefined symbol: _FlutterBasicMessageChannel etc. This happened because the widget extension tried to link Flutter dependencies, which should not happen. App Group Confusion We also tried adding App Group (group.com.xxx), but behavior didn’t change. Conclusion: We suspect the root issue is: The Flutter template we are using was not designed for WidgetKit integration Xcode embedding phases and Flutter build scripts conflict with extension targets Question: In your opinion: Is this a known limitation with Flutter-based iOS projects? Is there a clean way to integrate WidgetKit without breaking the Runner target? Or is it better to create a separate native iOS module for the widget? Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to renew apple developer account after 2 years expiration
I recently renewed my Apple Developer account after a 2-year expiration and updated my payment details. I also received the new license agreement and accepted it. However, my account is still not marked as active, and I’m currently unable to deploy my app via TestFlight. I have already tried contacting support via email and phone but have not received a response yet. This issue is blocking our development and release process. Could you please advise on how to resolve this or escalate the case? Thank you in advance for your support.

Xcode to play a Sound when a fault is logged
Hi I have an Xcode project in which I am logging (os log) some faults when an error occurs. While developing I would like to notice it when the fault occurs. Questions Are there are better approaches to be alerted (sound or other means) when a fault occurs? My attempts so far: Add fault log and filter for faults Add breakpoint and play sound when breakpoint encountered Disadvantages with fault filtering: Though I can filter for faults sometimes I often need to look at debug messages. Having a lot of debug messages I am lost, yes I can filter but might forget to do it during every build Disadvantages with breakpoints: Sometimes I tend to delete breakpoints and might accidentally delete this breakpoint to play a sound

watchOS VoIP App: Incoming Calls?
Hello! I’m building a VoIP app for iPhone and Apple Watch using PushKit and CallKit. I’m trying to understand the recommended watchOS architecture for this kind of setup. What we would like is for the watch to behave as an endpoint for incoming calls, so that when a call comes in the user can answer on either the iPhone or the watch. My understanding is that VoIP notifications are not supported on watchOS, so for incoming calls what we ended up having to do was send the watch a regular APNs alert notification and only start the actual call setup after the user interacts with it. This isn’t ideal, and the notification often appears a few seconds late. What we would like to be able to do is present the incoming call on the watch more like how FaceTime calls appear on Apple Watch. So I wanted to ask whether this is the intended pattern for a companion watchOS VoIP app. Is using a regular APNs alert notification the correct way to surface an incoming call on the watch, or is there a better supported approach? Thanks!

Icon Composer app icon appears correctly in Xcode/Composer, but App Store shows it inside a square tile
Hello, I created my app icon with Icon Composer and use the .icon file directly in my Xcode project. The preview in Icon Composer looks as expected, but the icon on the App Store has a different appearance. For reference: .icon file is used directly no separate background image was added background was set with fill in Icon Composer the difference appears on the App Store side Has anyone seen this before? I’m trying to understand whether this is related to App Store processing, caching, or Icon Composer background setup. I’ve attached: Any guidance would be appreciated.

UITextField and UITextView abnormally popped up the network permission application interface
in iOS26.4, after installing the app for the first time, opening the app and clicking on the UITextField input box will trigger the system to pop up the network permission application interface. This issue did not exist before iOS 26.3, only in iOS 26.4. This is a fatal bug where the network permission request box should not pop up when the developer has not called the network related API.

WebKit.WebContent killed by jetsam (memorystatus ActiveHard 2048 MB limit) on iPhone 17 Pro with 12 GB RAM during heavy CSS animations — does NOT happen on iPad
com.apple.WebKit.WebContent process is being killed by the kernel’s memorystatus jetsam mechanism when it exceeds the ActiveHard 2048 MB limit, even though the iPhone has 12 GB physical RAM and hundreds of thousands of free pages available. This causes the exact same WebProcess → GPUProcess crash that was reported in thread 822200, but now the root cause is clearly visible in the kernel log. The crash only occurs on iPhones, never on iPads (even older ones). Environment Failing devices: iPhone 17 Pro (12 GB RAM) x 2 — iOS 26.3, 26.4, 26.4.1 Working devices (same page, same iOS): iPad Pro 2018 — iOS 26.1 (stable) iPad Pro 2025 — iOS 26.4 (completely stable) Reproduces in Safari and in WKWebView (Capacitor/Ionic app) Actual Logs (kernel + WebKit) `logApr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: com.apple.WebKit.WebContent [1596] exceeded mem limit: ActiveHard 2048 MB (fatal) Apr 15 21:23:33 iPhone kernel[0] : memorystatus: killing process 1596 [com.apple.WebKit.WebContent] in high band FOREGROUND (100) - memorystatus_available_pages: 196999 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::didClose: (web process 0 crash) 0x1110ec640 - [PID=4689] WebProcessProxy::processDidTerminateOrFailedToLaunch: reason=Crash 0x117048018 - [pageProxyID=7, webPageID=8, PID=4689] WebPageProxy::processDidTerminate: (pid 4689), reason=Crash 0x1130e8640 - [PID=0] WebProcessProxy::gpuProcessExited: reason=IdleExit ... (multiple RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=4 "Target process has a higher termination resistance..." errors)` Expected Behavior With 12 GB RAM and ~197k free pages, the WebContent process should not be killed at only 2 GB. The same heavy animation page runs stably on iPad (which apparently has a higher ActiveHard limit for WebKit). Additional Notes This is not a leak in the web page itself — the crash happens even when total system memory is plentiful. The 2048 MB ActiveHard limit appears to be applied specifically to iPhone device class, while iPad gets a more generous budget. The issue has existed since at least iOS 26.3 and affects both Safari and embedded WKWebView. This seems like an overly aggressive jetsam policy for WebKit on iPhone compared to the available hardware. Could the WebContent process’s memory limit be increased for modern iPhones (12 GB+ models)? Increased Memory Limit not worked for com.apple.WebKit.WebContent. I can only add this to my app. Thank you!

NEProxySettings.matchDomains = [""] — supported catch-all when no IP routes are claimed?
We are building a VPN using NEPacketTunnelProvider where the intent is to route HTTP/S traffic through a local proxy server, while non-HTTP/S traffic flows directly to the network without being tunnelled at the IP layer. The configuration claims no included IP routes — it relies entirely on NEProxySettings to intercept HTTP/S traffic via the URL loading layer. private func configureIPSettings(_ settings: NEPacketTunnelNetworkSettings) { settings.ipv4Settings = NEIPv4Settings( addresses: ["192.168.1.1"], subnetMasks: ["255.255.255.255"] ) // No includedRoutes set — no IP traffic enters the tunnel } private func configureProxySettings(_ settings: NEPacketTunnelNetworkSettings) { let proxySettings = NEProxySettings() proxySettings.httpEnabled = true proxySettings.httpServer = NEProxyServer(address: "127.0.0.1", port: 9000) proxySettings.httpsEnabled = true proxySettings.httpsServer = NEProxyServer(address: "127.0.0.1", port: 9000) proxySettings.matchDomains = [""] settings.proxySettings = proxySettings } When matchDomains is nil or not set, HTTP/S traffic does not reach the local proxy in this configuration. Setting matchDomains = [""] makes it work correctly. The matchDomains documentation states: "If the destination host name of a HTTP connection shares a suffix with one of these strings then the proxy settings will be used." An empty string is a suffix of every string, so [""] matching all hostnames follows from that definition. But this isn't explicitly documented. Questions: Is matchDomains = [""] a supported and stable way to apply proxy settings to all HTTP/S traffic when no IP routes are claimed, or is this an unintended side-effect? Why does matchDomains = nil not apply the proxy globally in this configuration? The documentation doesn't describe its behaviour relative to IP routing. NEDNSSettings.matchDomains explicitly documents an empty string as matching all domains — is the same semantics intended for NEProxySettings.matchDomains?

Using CLRequireExplicitServiceSession correctly
I found this documentation that instructs you how to use CLServiceSession to defer any accidental/premature locacation permission prompts: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/corelocation/suspending-authorization-requests It says "Add the CLRequireExplicitServiceSession property to your app’s Info.plist file to opt into this control behavior." I pretty much followed this example to a T. It seemed to work, however in some cases I still manage to get a location permission prompt on a fresh install before the part of the onboarding where we'd ask the user for location permissions (with CLServiceSession now). Is there any additional information on using CLRequireExplicitServiceSession than this blurb? Googling brings up nothing. I presumed the property is a BOOL but I'm not even sure of that, as it doesn't show up in Info.plist's autocomplete suggestions and I have to manually set the type.

Local AssetPack unable to finish downloading although is 100%
Hello, I've run into an issue where AssetPacks being served locally are downloading but unable to complete. try await AssetPackManager .shared .ensureLocalAvailability(of: assetPack) This method is called but never appears to complete. Even 10 minutes after the download is finished. <NSProgress: 0x10fb4fc80> : Parent: 0x0 (portion: 0) / Fraction completed: 1.0000 / Completed: 2462633379 of 2462633379 This however does not appear to be an issue in production, as the method completes 30-60 seconds after the download has finished. Issue happens across multiple devices running 26.4.1

watchOS VoIP App: Incoming Calls?

Thank you!

NEProxySettings.matchDomains = [""] — supported catch-all when no IP routes are claimed?

Apple Watch companion app keeps uninstalling
Hello, I’m developing an Apple Watch companion app for my swimming application and the app keeps uninstalling/disappearing from Apple Watch. I have a specific Scheme to install it to my watches, it appears there, I can debug but after a while it disappears. It’s my first app for this device but it doesn’t seem normal to me. any idea?
