I tried dragging an apns file for a live activity into my simulator to begin a Live Activity.
It didn't do anything. I didn't see it mentioned in the wwdc videos either. So I'm wondering if this experience is not yet developed, or maybe I'm doing something incorrectly?

Hey everyone. This is probably the last straw I am trying to pull since I tried almost everything else. I have applied for the Apple Developer Program and the whole process started at the end of 2024. I got rejected the first time because Apple could not charge my card. It was clearly shown that the cost is $99, however, it was 106.65 Euros (I created a Revolut card with the $100 because I don't trust placing my card everywhere).
I started the new process but this time I knew about the amount issue so I placed 150 Euros just to be safe. Automatic rejection with robotic AI response:
"For one or more reasons, your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program couldn't be completed. We can't continue with your enrollment at this time."
When I raised ticket about it I got no replies. Than both my friend and wife tried to apply for the program. Both rejected with the exact same messaging.
I created a new Apple ID, new card, new everything and did everything "by the book". Again. Rejection with the same exact messaging: For one or more reasons, your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program couldn't be completed. We can't continue with your enrollment at this time...
Can someone from Apple please tell me what are those reasons? I have been an Apple user for almost 10 years now. I was buying Apps from store. I am using iCloud+. Modest Citizen as some would say.
What's the problem? How can I finally get to Apple Developer Program without being rejected by AI or some poor auto system?

My project is using Fastlane 2.226.0. After converted groups to folders on XCode 16, I got an error when executed below function in Fastfile:
get_version_number(xcodeproj: "MyProject.xcodeproj", target: "MyProject")
Below is the error message output after I ran fastlane:
Unable to find XCode build setting: MARKETING_VERSION
I have developed an app that I had been testing on the hardware device with the developer profile signed builds, I had setup a CloudKit container in development mode and also had tested with Production mode and they are working as expected. I have also tested storekit auto renewal subscriptions using Storekit Config file and all of that is working on the hardware device with the developer profile signed builds.
Now comes the Fun Part, I want to use the Distribution profile to test the app for production readiness, I had created a distribution profile and had set that up in the Release under target of the app in Xcode, I have also created sandbox tester account (which is showing inactive even after 7 days - though I am also logged in with this sandbox tester account on a hardware device and under developer setting it shows as a sandbox tester account)
All the subscriptions are showing Ready to Submit in the App Store Connect.
I need help understand this whole flow, how to ensure I can test CloudKit and storekit for production readiness and then publish my app for the review.
Thank you.

Hi,
is there documentation on how to write a deep link that will open Xcode on a given file, and optionally a line number?
I know about xed, and I would like exactly that functionality, but in link form, so that I can link to a certain file from an app such as Obsidian or from a README.md file.
I checked Xcode's Info.plist and it understands several URL schemes, the most promising of which is xcode://, which successfully launches the app, but no matter what I tried, I get an error dialog telling me that Xcode did not understand the URL.
Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Victor
When I build UITabBarController on (iPad + iOS18), selectedImage on each tabBarItems don't appear.
(SwiftUI TabView can change iconImages by state change, so no problem on SwiftUI.)
Could someone tells me how to solve this problem?

I have a Mac Mini (M4) running macOS Sequoia 15.3.1.
I very recently downloaded and installed the current version of XCode from the app store. I have not added any extensions - it's a vanilla, un-customized, un-enhanced installation.
I have two user profiles (accounts) on my Mac: one Administrator and one Standard, each using a different apple account. I am using the Standard user account to learn XCode.
When I attempt to set up a project, I get an error message when Xcode initially tries to save the (provided) project template file. The error states:
"Failed to save Project2.xcodeproj. The backing file has been modified outside of XCode."
I am using a NAS drive to store my project file. I have also tried saving it to the Desktop. It makes no difference to the error wherever the file is being saved.
Similarly, I tried changing the Standard user account to an Administrator account to see if it was a privileges problem. Again, it made no difference to the error message. (So I changed the account back to a Standard user).
I have tried googling the error but I only find references to problems related to extension/add-in products to XCode: none of which have I added to my XCode installation.
I am attaching screenshots of the steps through the project creation process. Hopefully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong or what the problem is.
Thank you.

I am trying to understand what is causing this issue. Even after archiving and installing the app, it still crashes. According to the official documentation, Xcode 16 is supposed to support iOS 12, but this issue persists. I would like to know the possible reasons for this behavior.
I am developing a game that has 3 team members.
I can manually start up 3 simulators and run the game for developing/testing but seem like there should be a simple way to click build/run and have it launch on all three automatically.
Does anyone know how to do this or if its even possible without writing some scripts?

Hi everyone,
I transitioned my Apple Developer account from Individual to Organization almost two weeks ago, and ever since, I cannot upload builds, generate API keys, or create certificates. Everything worked perfectly before the transition, and I’ve used the same setup.
The biggest issue isn’t just the technical problem—it’s Apple Support’s terrible handling of it:
They keep copy-pasting the same request for information, even though I’ve sent everything multiple times.
When I call, they say "Everything looks good on our end", but nothing is actually fixed.
After asking for the same info repeatedly, they disappear and don’t provide any updates.
The only unusual thing in my account is that I have two Free Apps Agreements, and one is showing on "Pending User Info", but I have no option to input anything. I have accepted all agreements and not sure what to do.
It’s been two weeks. Has anyone dealt with this before? How do I get someone at Apple to actually look at the issue instead of sending copy-paste responses?
Thanks.

Hello!
I'm experiencing a persistent SwiftCompile warning that I haven't been able to resolve for several months:
<unknown>:0: warning: default will never be executed
Observations:
Appears randomly across different files during the build.
No source location or line highlighting is provided.
Persists across clean builds and project reopenings.
Occurs in both Xcode Cloud and local builds.
What I’ve tried:
Ensuring all switch statements on enums explicitly handle every case.
Removing default cases from fully covered enum switches.
Refactoring optional enum handling (e.g., using if let instead of switch).
None of these resolved the issue. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, we are from australia, we applied apple developer program enrolment since dec 2024, and we are stuck in a loophole that after we pay the AUD$149 for the developer program, which reflect in the bank immediately, but it will show cancelled status next day, and the bank will get bounced back $149 in several days anyone can help?
We tried 6 cards, Mastercard, Visa, Prepaid, Amex, Credit card and Debit card, under different names but they are all Australian card. We emailed apple support team and we experienced 7+ agents who can't really help us and we enrolled 5+ times on both iPhone and Mac, developer app and web and everytime the results are the same!
Hi,
I have been attempting enroll in Apple Developer program with my organization. As part of the enrollment process, legal authority must be approved by a member of my organization. We have attempted submitting the approvals a couple times with no success. Recently we had an error on screen saying %%USE_I18N_STRING_ERROR%% and Verification Unsuccessful.
Would you be able to check the status of my application and if there is anything we need to do for verification?
Thank you for your time and help!
-Bob
Dear Apple Support Team,
I am Tianwei Yue. I received your email this morning regarding the immediate termination of our Apple Developer Program License Agreement and Apple Developer Agreement, citing alleged fraudulent behavior and violation of certain terms. We were very surprised by this notice and are deeply concerned about the matter.
Firstly, the email mentioned that if we wish to file an official complaint under the applicable Platform Regulation, we could do so by contacting you via “Contact Us”. However, when I logged in with my account and clicked the “Contact Us” link, the system responded with “You’re not eligible to make this request”. We would appreciate guidance on how to properly submit an official complaint or if there is an alternative way to get in touch for further assistance.
Secondly, we operate the “mathos ai” application under this account, which currently enjoys over one million users and maintains a rating of 4.6 on the App Store. Our team has always been proactive in handling user accounts, refunds, and payment issues, and we are committed to providing high-quality service to our users. Therefore, we are puzzled by the suspension of our account and believe there might be some misunderstanding or miscommunication. We sincerely hope to connect with the appropriate Apple personnel to understand the issue in detail and provide any necessary additional information to resolve any concerns.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read our email. We look forward to your response and guidance.
Sincerely,
Tianwei Yue

Hello Friends,
We have a strange bug that Xcode is deploying static binaries from within .XCFramework into the CONFIGURATION_BUILD_DIR
An example of our xcframeworks structure is:

Can you see any issues in the above.
Some ideas for me is to generate xcarchive instead of deploying the .a in the xcframeworks, however that does not explain the include being packaged there, so I think this might be a Xcode issue

Dear Apple Support Team,
I am Tianwei Yue. I received your email this morning regarding the immediate termination of our Apple Developer Program License Agreement and Apple Developer Agreement, citing alleged fraudulent behavior and violations of certain terms. We are both surprised and deeply anxious about this decision.
Firstly, the email mentioned that if we wish to file an official complaint under the applicable Platform Regulation, we could contact you via “Contact Us”. However, when I logged in with my account and clicked the “Contact Us” link, the system responded with “You’re not eligible to make this request.” We would appreciate guidance on how to properly submit an official complaint or if there is an alternative way to reach out for assistance.
Secondly, I would like to emphasize that the “mathos ai” application operated under this account currently has over 3 million active users. Our application has consistently maintained a high user rating of 4.6 and a record of excellent service. The immediate deletion of our account has rendered the service inaccessible to a large number of customers who use Apple products, severely impacting their experience. We believe that this decision does not align with the shared values of customer care that both Apple and we have always upheld. We have always been proactive in handling user accounts, refunds, and payment issues, and we continuously strive to provide high-quality service to our users. Consequently, we are puzzled by the reason for the account suspension and believe that there might be some misunderstanding or miscommunication. We sincerely hope to connect with the relevant Apple personnel to understand the issue in detail and provide any necessary additional information to resolve any concerns and restore our service.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read our email. We look forward to your prompt response so that we can resolve this issue and jointly safeguard the interests of our valued customers.
Sincerely,
Tianwei Yue

Apple Business Manager
Hi. For over 1.5 months, I am trying to opt in apple developer program for my company. Couple of times, I got informed that I have missing documents like shown below.
• Applicant’s employment verification
• Applicant’s employee badge or business card
• Business documents for COMPANY_NAME
I have provided employment verification and business documents, but I don't have any employee badge or business card so instead, I've provided my own id card's photo. Apple keeps sending me same email regarding missing documents. What I am missing here? What should I do if i don't have employee badge or business card?
Thank you
