External Purchase Link Entitlement RU - 500 Internal Server Error
Hello, We are a Russian developer attempting to enable the StoreKit External Purchase Link Entitlement for our app. According to Apple’s documentation, this entitlement is required to provide external purchase links in Russia. However, the official request page consistently returns a 500 Internal Server Error: https://developer.apple.com/contact/request/storekit-external-entitlement-ru Steps we tried: Different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge) Different networks and VPNs Multiple developer accounts The error persists in all cases. We have already opened a support case (Case #102864703080), but Developer Support advised us to post here for technical guidance. Questions: Is there an alternative way to submit the entitlement request while the page is unavailable? Can Apple confirm whether this is a known issue and if a fix is in progress? Are manual submissions via the general Contact Us form accepted for this entitlement? Screenshots of the error are attached. Thank you in advance for any guidance.

App rejected due to lack of In-App Purchase — no supported payment options in Iraq
Hello, I’m a developer of an iOS app that provides paid educational courses (video-based content). Our recent app update was rejected under guideline 3.1.1 because the app includes paid digital content that is not using Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We fully understand and respect this guideline. However, we are facing a significant limitation: We are based in Iraq, and currently we do not have access to supported financial infrastructure that allows us to: Use Apple In-App Purchase (due to lack of supported banking setup) Use common payment providers like Stripe or similar services At the moment, our app relies on external payments completed outside the app, and users log in to access purchased content. Due to the rejection, our release and marketing plans are currently blocked, and we are looking for a compliant solution.

External Purchase clarifying
Hi! I’m facing some difficulties while integrating with Apple external purchase API. I would like to clarify a few points in the documentation. Subscription Events Documentation mentions four subscription events: SUBSCRIPTION_START, SUBSCRIPTION_CHANGE, SUBSCRIPTION_PAYMENT, and RENEWAL. Could you clarify what SUBSCRIPTION_PAYMENT is used for? The examples indicate that we should send the tax and payment amounts in the SUBSCRIPTION_START and RENEWAL events. Should we also send them for SUBSCRIPTION_PAYMENT? 2. Unused Tokens Customers generate ACQUISITION and SERVICE tokens and send them to us. According to the documentation, we must report every token received. If we process balance transactions linked to an ACQUISITION token, should we send the SERVICE token with NO LINE ITEM? Should we continue sending the SERVICE token with NO LINE ITEM status in the following months? 3. Should we send reports only once a month? What should we do if, at the time a transaction is received, the token was active, but by the time the report is due, it has already expired? Do we still need to report it in that case? 4. What should we do if we receive a notification about an unreported token in the middle of the month? Should we send the report immediately, or should we take note of the token and include it in the report at the scheduled time at the beginning of the month? 5. Am I correct in understanding that if a user purchases a monthly subscription and cancels the renewals within the same month, the reports will contain only one event — SUBSCRIPTION_START with subscriptionDaysOfPaidService = 0? If a renewal for a monthly subscription fails and the payment is completed after a 7-day grace period, should we report 37 days or 30 days in subscriptionDaysOfPaidService in the RENEWAL event? Thank you in advance for your guidance!

IPA export fails - No provisioning profile found for App Store distribution
Hi, I'm trying to build an App Store IPA for my Flutter app on Mac M4 without a physical iPhone connected. STEP 1 - I tried Automatic Signing in Xcode but got: "Communication with Apple failed. Your team has no devices from which to generate a provisioning profile." "Xcode couldn't find any iOS App Development provisioning profiles matching my bundle ID." STEP 2 - I switched to Manual Signing in Xcode. No warnings or errors shown in Xcode UI. Everything looks fine in Signing & Capabilities. But when I run this command in terminal: flutter build ipa I get this error: Building App Store IPA... Encountered error while creating the IPA: error: exportArchive "Runner.app" requires a provisioning profile. My Setup: Mac M4 Flutter (flutter build ipa) Paid Apple Developer account No physical iPhone connected Building for App Store distribution Question: How do I successfully export an IPA for App Store distribution without a physical device on Mac M4? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

2 Months of Identical Copy-Paste Rejections for a Game Emulator — No Human Review, No Meaningful Feedback
Hello, I'm the developer of RPGPlayer, a game emulator for RPG Maker games that has been live on the App Store since 2025. I'm writing here out of frustration and desperation after 2+ months of trying to publish a critical bug fix update. The Situation I submitted v2.4 on February 21, 2026. Since then, I have received 9+ rejections under Guidelines 4.7 and 2.5.2. Every single rejection message is word-for-word identical — the same copy-pasted text, every time. None of my detailed technical responses have ever been acknowledged or addressed. I have submitted appeals twice through the App Review Board. Both times I received the same automated response: "The App Review Board will contact you directly once they've completed their investigation." The first appeal went unanswered for over 30 days. At this point, I genuinely do not believe a human being has opened my app during any of these reviews. The Technical Reality RPGPlayer is a game emulator, explicitly permitted under Guideline 4.7. The rejection under 4.7 states that "HTML5-based games appear to be an incidental feature." This is incorrect. RPG Maker MV/MZ games are built on HTML5/JavaScript by design — that is the engine's native architecture on all platforms including PC and consoles. The WKWebView is the emulation layer, not a web browser or game portal. There are zero bundled games. The rejection under 2.5.2 states the app "installed or launched executable code." The app does not download anything from the internet. It includes a bundled, statically-linked runtime (MKXP-Z) that interprets local game scripts from user-imported files — identical to how Delta Emulator interprets ROM instructions. The Double Standard Other apps on the App Store use the exact same architecture as RPGPlayer: Delta Emulator — approved under Guideline 4.7, interprets user-provided ROM files Quest Play — RPG Maker MV/MZ player, uses the same WebView approach, currently receiving updates ArkRPG — same engine, same architecture, also on the App Store and getting updates. These apps are approved and actively updated. RPGPlayer is being rejected with automated messages for doing the exact same thing. What I've Tried Detailed technical responses in Resolution Center — ignored Two App Review Board appeals — no meaningful response Contact Us support requests — automated replies Provided ROM files, video walkthroughs, and thorough App Review Notes — none of it acknowledged The Impact My users have been waiting 50+ days for a critical bug fix. Some have left negative reviews calling me a scammer because they think I abandoned the app. I haven't. I've been fighting this review process every single day. I have a Meet with Apple appointment scheduled. But I wanted to share this here as well — both to ask if anyone has faced a similar situation with emulator apps, and to document what is happening in case it helps other developers. Has anyone successfully resolved a 4.7 + 2.5.2 rejection for a legitimate emulator app? Any advice is welcome.

Setting up video and image capture pipeline creates internal errors in AVFoundation.
I have created code for iOS that allows me to start and stop video acquisition from a proprietary USB camera using AVFoundation's AVCaptureSession and AVCaptureDevice APIs. There is a start and stop method. The start method takes an argument to specify one of two formats that I use for my custom camera application. I can start the session and switch between formats all day without any errors. However, if I start and then stop the camera three times in a row, on the third invocation of start, I get errors in the console output and the CMSampleBuffers stop flowing to my callback. Additionally, once I get AVFoundation into this state, stoping the camera doesn't help. I have to kill the app and start over. Here are the errors. And below these, the code. I'm hoping someone who has experience with these errors or an engineer from Apple who knows the AVFoundation image capture pipeline code, can respond and tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "! storage->connectionDied" at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:235) - (err=0) <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "err == 0 " at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:558) - (err=-16453) <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "! storage->connectionDied" at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:235) - (err=0) <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "err == 0 " at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:253) - (err=-16453) <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "err == 0 " at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:269) - (err=-16453) <<<< FigCaptureSourceRemote >>>> Fig assert: "err == 0 " at bail (FigCaptureSourceRemote.m:511) - (err=-16453) Capture session error: The operation could not be completed Capture session error: The operation could not be completed func start(for deviceFormat: String) async throws -> AnyPublisher<CMSampleBuffer, Swift.Error> { func configureCaptureDevice(with deviceFormat: String) throws { guard let format = formatDict[deviceFormat] else { throw Error.captureFormatNotFound } captureSession.beginConfiguration() defer { captureSession.commitConfiguration() } try captureDevice.lockForConfiguration() captureDeviceFormat = deviceFormat captureDevice.activeFormat = format captureDevice.unlockForConfiguration() } return try await withCheckedThrowingContinuation { continuation in sessionQueue.async { [unowned self] in logger.debug("Start capture session for \(deviceFormat): \(String(describing: captureSession))") // If we were already steaming camera images from a different mode, terminate that stream. bufferPublisher?.send(completion: .finished) bufferPublisher = nil captureDeviceFormat = "" do { // Re-configure with the new format; should be harmless if called with the currently configured format. try configureCaptureDevice(with: deviceFormat) // Return a new stream publisher for this invocation. bufferPublisher = PassthroughSubject<CMSampleBuffer, Swift.Error>() // If we are not currently running, start the image capture pipeline. if captureSession.isRunning == false { captureSession.startRunning() } continuation.resume(returning: bufferPublisher!.eraseToAnyPublisher()) } catch { logger.fault("Failed to start camera: \(error.localizedDescription)") continuation.resume(throwing: error) } } } } func stop() async throws { try await withCheckedThrowingContinuation { continuation in sessionQueue.async { [unowned self] in logger.debug("Stop capture session: \(String(describing: captureSession))") // The following invocation is synchronous and takes time to execute; // looks like a stall but you can ignore it as the MainActor is not blocked. captureSession.stopRunning() // Terminate the stream and reset our state. bufferPublisher?.send(completion: .finished) bufferPublisher = nil captureDeviceFormat = "" // Signal the caller that we are done here. continuation.resume() } } }

Smart card access is blocked in Safari and other WebKit browsers during passkey sign-in when the site offers the “Security Key” option
On macOS 26, when a passkey sign-in flow is started in Safari or another WebKit-based browser (for example, DuckDuckGo browser), smart cards become inaccessible as soon as the password manager selection UI is shown, but only if the website offers “Security Key” as one of the passkey storage/authentication options. At that moment, it appears the system starts polling connected smart cards and does not properly release the transaction/session. As a result, other applications and libraries can no longer communicate with the smart card until the passkey UI is dismissed, and in practice the card may remain unavailable until the passkey sign-in flow is fully completed. This does not happen in Chrome. This does not happen if the website does not offer the “Security Key” option. This does not happen during passkey registration; the issue affects sign-in only. From our investigation, Safari/WebKit appears to open communication with connected smart cards and keep the transaction/session active. Because of that: • our own smart card code blocks while waiting for a PC/SC transaction to begin; • the system pcsctest utility also hangs and does not continue until the passkey selection UI is closed; • a minimal sample using TKSmartCard also blocks on beginSession(). This suggests the smart card is locked not only at the PC/SC level, but also at the CryptoTokenKit level. This issue is critical for us. We are developing a password manager that supports storing keys on a smart card, and due to this behavior we cannot access our card while Safari/WebKit is showing the passkey flow. Is there any way to stop safari from accessing smartcards? Any terminal commands/settings/workarounds?

Charged $99 for Developer Program, but Membership is Still Inactive (Invoice Received)
Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice or visibility from Apple staff here, as my team is currently completely stuck. On April 10th, we enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. Our credit card was successfully charged $99, and we received the official Apple invoice receipt (Invoice #MC64187422). However, almost a week later, the membership status has not updated to active. The developer portal still prompts us to "Complete your purchase", and if we click it, it gives a warning about withdrawing the enrollment. We are on a very tight schedule to release a gamification app for our corporate clients by late April, and this enrollment delay is severely impacting our deployment timeline. I've already emailed Developer Support but haven't received a response in days. I also tried using the "Request a call" feature. However, because I am the technical lead handling the setup for the team and my name doesn't exactly match the account owner's name, the phone support agent was unable to assist me further due to security policies. Has anyone experienced this kind of "stuck" status after the payment has already been captured and invoiced? Is there a specific way to escalate this pending enrollment so we can meet our project deadline? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Request for clarification: "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks
I am writing to share my frustration regarding the app review process for my application. My current submission has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for nearly 7 weeks, starting from February 5th. Although I have attempted to cancel and resubmit periodically, there were significant gaps of 10 and 21 days between submissions where no action was taken. Currently, I am stuck again. The situation is critical for the following reasons: Critical Bug: The update includes a necessary fix for an In-App Purchase bug that is preventing users from accessing paid features. No Communication: I have sent four inquiries regarding this delay. I received only one generic response asking me to wait, and my subsequent follow-ups have been completely ignored. Expedited Review Request: My requests for an Expedited Review have also gone unanswered. Apple’s standard review time is typically 24-48 hours, but my experience is far from that. I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking for basic transparency regarding why my app has been stalled for nearly two months. Could anyone from the review team please look into this or provide an explanation? This prolonged silence is causing significant issues for my service and its users. Apple blocking my account
Apple has negged my developer account docs for 6 months. How do I get someone on the phone? I had moved the company’s jurisdictions from EU to USA so it is a new Apple Developer account. In truth, I would rather just update my original account to the new company in USA but I can’t do that either.

What is ~/.CFUserTextEncoding used for?
The file ~/.CFUserTextEncoding contained a string which I can't understand. It's recreated when a user log in. I had found that the result of CoreFoundation.CFStringGetSystemEncoding() is affected by the content of this file. What is this file used for?

Smart card access is blocked in Safari and other WebKit browsers during passkey sign-in when the site offers the “Security Key” option

This does not happen in Chrome. This does not happen if the website does not offer the “Security Key” option. This does not happen during passkey registration; the issue affects sign-in only. From our investigation, Safari/WebKit appears to open communication with connected smart cards and keep the transaction/session active.

Why is the .opacity AnyTransition is marked as nonisolated(unsafe)
Because of this, in Swift 6 mode, Xcode complains about the access, and ask me to use unsafe keyword. To fix it, I need to do this: Anyone can explain this abrupt nonisolated(unsafe) change?

App Store Connect
Hi there I am trying to get to app store connect but it simply tells me "You must be an individual or team member in the Apple Developer Program, or invited by an individual to access their content in App Store Connect." I have since realised i've paid the enrolment/membership fee for developer membership twice, yet still don't have access. Any help greatly appreciated.

Apple ID: 6752595582 First Submission Date: Feb 5th
