Authentication with Microsoft EntraID
Hi everyone, I've been trying to integrate with Microsoft EntraID for more than a week. I've followed every tutorial, ChatGPT, Cloude.ai, etc, but nothing works, and I realized that the problem is setting up information inside the Info.plist correctly. In the old days, we were able to edit it, but now it's a mess. I'm working with Xcode 15.2. Unfortunately, my computer does not accept more upgrades. Yes, I know I have to buy a new one, but I'm not sure if the new version will help me solve that. Does anyone have a project example or some experience with Microsoft EntraID authentication using SwiftUI? All the examples in the project are really old and usually don't use SwiftUI

Missing Apple-Hosted Background Assets info
After combing the forums and release nodes, here are some extra notes to help other developers using Apple-Hosted Background Assets. I don't promise I got this perfect, but it may help direct you. AssetPack.Status is an OptionSet (not an enum!) - Critical API detail missing from guide It's a bitmask where values can be combined 2⁰ (1) = available to download 2¹ (2) = update available 2² (4) = up to date 2⁶ (64) = downloaded Example: status value 69 = 0b1000101 = available + up to date + downloaded Use .contains() method to check specific flags AssetPack.version property - Undocumented feature Auto-assigned by App Store Connect for Apple-hosted packs Increments with each upload of same asset pack ID No file deduplication across asset packs Same file in two packs = counts twice toward 200GB limit Best practice: create separate pack for shared files Shared namespace path requirements Asset pack ID is NOT part of file path Each file must have unique relative path across ALL app's asset packs Example: Foo/10/239/414.png and Bar/10/239/414.png are distinct and won't collide Additional url(for:) bugs beyond iOS 26.1 fix iOS 26 Beta 5: "item with same name already exists" error Workaround: Request URL for directory, then manually append filename TestFlight-only availability - Major limitation not mentioned! NSItemProvider make .jpg image to .jpeg
Hi, I'm not sure why but when my fileURL is .jpg file and I drop the file from my app to Finder folders it make the dropped file as .jpeg Is there a way to fix it? BLE Requirements for MacOS
I am working on a hobby project to develop my own Bluetooth peripheral. The platform for this peripheral is a Espressif ESP32-based TinyS3 from Unexpected Maker. I have defined the bluetooth device & service information using custom UUIDs. Using nRF Connect or Light Blue mobile applications I can discover and connect to my device. I receive confirmation of this BLE connection and modifications to the my BLE Service from my code on my TinyS3. I am attempting to write a custom software program that uses the onboard Mac Bluetooth hardware to detect this device. I am technically using Qt's Bluetooth infrastructure via PySide6 [python]. Despite being able to see my device in the mobile BLE applications, my software as well as the Mac Bluetooth System Services does not detect my BLE device. I am broadcasting advertising messages at a 250ms rate, and since they are findable by these mobile applications, I am wondering if MacOS has specific requirements for advertising data for what it considers as a "legitimate/ connectable" device. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Unexpected app version in logs — does MARKETING_VERSION change dynamically?
Hello, I've encountered unexpected behavior related to version information in our app logs, and I'd like to ask for some advice. We reviewed logs collected from a user running our app (currently available on the App Store). The logs are designed to include both the build number and the app version. Based on the build number in the logs, we believe the installed app version on the user's device is 1.0.3. However, the app version recorded in the logs is 1.1.5, which is the latest version currently available on the App Store. In our project, we set the app version using the MARKETING_VERSION environment variable. This value is configured via XcodeGen, and we define it in a YAML file. Under normal circumstances, the value defined in the YAML file (MARKETING_VERSION = 1.0.3) should be embedded in the app and reflected in the logs. But in this case, the version from the current App Store release (1.1.5) appears instead, which was unexpected. We'd like to know what might cause this behavior, and if there are any known factors that could lead to this. Also, is it possible that MARKETING_VERSION might somehow dynamically reflect the version currently available on the App Store? YAML: info.plist:

WeatherKit "Pricing and Additional Endpoints" question.
In the availability and pricing section, we have reviewed the plans and we will be upgrading to 50 or 100 million calls/month but before we do, we have a couple questions. Does the API have rate limit or throttling? Do you have additional weather forecast endpoints like hail, radar, or pollen forecast? I am using Swift Testing for TDD my project. I have a struct that contains an array of 65536 UInt8's along with other properties. I am testing methods that modify the properties of the struct including the contents of the array. In just one of my test files, any test fails (there are several in the file), the entire contents of the struct, including the array, are printed to the console. In another test file they are not. I'm don't think there are any differences to the test setup in the two files. Any idea what's going on? I'm able get the program to skip the dump to the console by copying the properties I want to test to local let constants and testing those. Thanks

Swift Compiler Issue?
I've encountered a strange issue with Swift and I wonder if this is a compiler error or if I didn't understand something correctly. The following sample code shows a weird issue (please ignore that the demo code itself would not make that much sense in this form, it's just the version from a big and more complicated project, where this would make more sense): class Test { var data: [String:[String:String]] = [:] func test() { let setValue: ((String, String, String) -> Void) = { [weak self] key, id, value in if self!.data[key] == nil { self!.data[key] = [:] } let oldValue = self!.data[key]![id] if oldValue == nil { self!.data[key]![id] = value } } setValue("0", "1", "2") } } When changing the "data" dictionary through the closure within the "test()" function, everything works as expected until the "if" condition where the oldValue is checked against nil. If I set a break point to this condition, the Xcode debugger tells me that oldValue is nil (which is expected), but the code within the if condition is NOT executed. The comparison oldValue == nil should be be true (because oldValue is actually nil), but the compiler seems to assume something else. But If I do not user "self!" but instead "self?" then it does work as expected and the code within the if condition is executed. What I am missing here? Is this the correct behavior or a compiler bug?

Issue with Custom Error Message on invalidate in CoreNFC APDU Tag Reader Session
Hi everyone, I'm working on an NFC-related app using CoreNFC with APDU commands to read and write tags. I’ve encountered an issue when trying to handle the scenario where the user cancels the NFC session. Here’s what’s happening: When a user cancels the NFC session manually (e.g., by tapping "Cancel"), I see an error log indicating tagReaderSession|userCancelled. However, when I explicitly call session.invalidate(errorMessage: "No NFC tag found") in my code to handle a scenario where no tag is detected, the session still shows the error as userCancelled instead of my custom error message. "A software update is required" message is shown when running beta software
I'm running the latest iOS 26 beta 5 on my iPad and iPhone. Whenever I run these betas, I always get the message below telling me an update is available (whenever I plug in my devices). I'm assuming this is because the update check is detecting that I have something other than the latest production release. Obviously, it makes no sense to ask me to update to a prod build when I'm running the dev beta. Is there a way to turn this message off? Or maybe Apple could handle this situation better? Or maybe it's just a bug and I'm the only one getting this message?

Apple Developer certificate Revoke
I have received email about your development certificate has been revoked, but couldn't identify who did that, due to this revocation one of our enterprise application stopped working. So posting here to seek some suggestion on following 1.) Identification of Revoking Party: Though I have already raised a support ticket to Apple still waiting for their reply. Is it possible for Apple to send logs or account activity logs that from which account or who did the revocation? 2.) How much does Apple take to reply to the support tickets. 3.) No one else received email in my development team. Is it because the certificate which I created is revoked that's the reason only I have received email? 4.) May I know what are the other scenarios that certificate can be revoked other than a human error? 5.) Is there a way for us to internally monitor activity within our developer account, such as identifying who has been actively logged in and updating certificates?

Is DEXT Driver supporting these Networking Features?
I would like to know if macOS DEXT supports the following networking features: Tx/Rx Multiqueue, RSS, RSC, NS/ARP offload, PTP or packet timestamping and TSN. I couldn't find relevant documentation for these features in the Apple Developer Documentation. If they are supported, could you let me know which features are supported and how to find the corresponding official Apple documentation? Thanks

Can’t Enable Developer Mode on Apple Watch – No Prompt Appears
Hi, I’m currently developing a watchOS app and ran into an issue where I can’t enable Developer Mode on my Apple Watch. Device info: Apple Watch Series 9 (watchOS 10.4) Paired with iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.4.1) Xcode 15.3 (macOS 15.5, Apple Silicon) Issue: When I try to run the app on my physical watch device, Xcode prompts that Developer Mode needs to be enabled. However, there is no approval request on the Apple Watch, and no Developer Mode option appears under Settings → Privacy & Security. I’ve already tried the following: Rebooting both devices Unpairing and re-pairing the watch Erasing and setting up the watch again Signing out and back into my Apple ID Using the latest Xcode version (15.3 and 16.3 both tested) Running clean builds and checking provisioning profiles Attempting install via both simulator and physical device Still no luck — the app will not launch on the Apple Watch due to Developer Mode being disabled, and the option is missing entirely from Settings. I visited an Apple Store Genius Bar, but they couldn’t help and told me to contact Developer Support. I’ve already submitted a support request, but in the meantime I wanted to ask here in case anyone else has experienced this and found a workaround. Thanks in advance.

Analyzing crash report
Hello, I'm doing an update to my app already IN the app store. The app is built using .Net Maui targeting iOS, Windows and Android. All works fine in debug and in release on Android and Windows. However, the app launches on my iOS devices and crashes immediately. I really have no idea what the crash report on the device is telling me.
