Hi all, Managing Safari usage in an enterprise environment and I’m looking for ways to disable or restrict the QUIC protocol to enforce network-level security policies (e.g., content filtering). Does Safari offer any settings to disable QUIC, or is there a known workaround to prevent Safari from using it? Appreciate any insights or guidance.

Based on the "Build immersive web experiences with WebXR"-Video for visionOS there is no way to disable the consent prompts for entering an immersive experience or consent hand-tracking. For the microphone it's possible to "greenlight" specific websites for mic input, which works great. I'd welcome it, if it were possible to add specific websites in the settings, in which those consent dialogs aren't shown each time. In my opinion, the user interaction through a button that launches the experience would be sufficient to not disorient.

I am testing stuff on a website, and it worked well on any mobile browser till iOS18. Now that I am testing iOS26, even with the latest BETA (3) everything works smoothly on any other mobile browser but Safari. Previously I had the bug, which now has been patched, for status-bar, which was flickering too, but popover and page issue seems still there. I have persistent popover and ajax navigation, and both are rendering with bugs and fouc while view/page changes. Example: If I have an element which must stay on its place and its width is 100vw: while page changes it blinks, shrinks, flicker and jumps on rendering, while it simply must stay as is.. Animations and page transitions work smoothly on Chrome mobile (latest iOS 26 beta 3) , while breaking on Safari. I did open a feedback FB18328720, but seems no one caring. I have a Safari extension that plays audio via the javascript AudioContext API. It was working fine under iOS 17 and is now broken under iOS 18. It does not play audio at all. I've tried in both the iOS 18 public beta and the iOS 18.1 developer beta. It is broken in both of them. I've also created Feedback item FB15170620 which has a url attached to a page I created which demonstrates the issue.

An Administrator account is executing safaridriver --enable but it doesn't apply to other standard user accounts and standard accounts can't enable it directly. Is this expected behavior? How can standard users make use of safaridriver?

I'm encountering an issue with front camera video recordings via browser (Safari/Chrome) on devices running iOS/iPadOS 18 and above: On iPad, the recorded video appears upside down. On iPhone, the recorded video is rotated 90 degrees. The rear camera functions correctly without orientation issues. This problem seems specific to browser-based recordings, as the native Camera app records videos with the correct orientation. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is there a known workaround or fix? The preview while recording is fine, the recorded video is oriented incorrectly.

While implementing Apple Maps into our web application, I have a scenario where I want to be able to drag and move some of my custom annotations around. While that is working, when "picking up" the annotation before dragging it, there is an animation which I believe is to represent the human interaction of picking up a pin from a map, I would like to cancel that animation and thought that would be possible by calling preventDefault() in the emitted long-press event, which the documentation states that annotations should emit if they are draggable. The thing is that I don't get this event to emit when long pressing an annotation. So I believe that I have found a bug. It's in this paragraph in the documentation https://developer.apple.com/documentation/mapkitjs/handling-map-events#Respond-to-map-interaction-events A long press occurs on the map outside an annotation. A long press may be the beginning of a panning or pinching gesture on the map. You can prevent the gesture from starting by calling the preventDefault() method of the event. Annotations need to be draggable to dispatch long-press events. In anybody else experiencing this or do you see any clear fix for this? Maybe there is another way to cancel that "picking up the annotation for dragging" animation. I have seemed to try anything else.

As with the adoption of MV3 standards among all major browser vendors that allow browser extensions at the client-side, I understand that this is the same with Safari as well, as mentioned here (https://www.wwdcnotes.com/notes/wwdc22/10099/). However, as with Firefox, browsers may choose to adopt them incompletely and with few changes. I had a few questions regarding how Safari views this transition and what would be the next steps from here. Thus, it would be really great if the browser team could provide your insights on any or all of the following points: Would Safari adopt the exact standards proposed by the Chromium ecosystem such as with functionalities like header-based modifications in the coming days.  What would be the general timeline be for this in general?  Does this also translate to the fact that existing standards with MV2 standards would not be allowed to operate any further, as with the timeline with Chromium? We use a direct link mechanism in our app that attempts to open the app if it's already installed; otherwise, it redirects the user to the App Store. However, when the app is not installed, Safari displays an alert saying: "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." I am trying to cache fonts natively in a hybrid app, so that CSS hosted in an https website loaded in WKWebView through loadRequest can reference them like this for a performance boost: @font-face { font-family: 'MyFont'; src: url('my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff') format('woff'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } The problem happens when I register a WKURLSchemeHandler for my-assets. The handler never gets called and the Safari Web Insepctor shows this: [blocked] The page at https://www.x.com/ requested insecure content from my-assets://Gordita-bold-subset.woff. This content was blocked and must be served over HTTPS. Interestingly enough, if we try to serve content with <img src="my-assets://test.png" this restriction does not apply. In my application, I use HTML pages to display the interface. Since it’s a cross-platform app, the pages and interactions work properly on other platforms. However, in WebKit, because HTTPS protocol is used, JS requests from the page cannot use the ws protocol but must use the wss protocol under HTTPS. Is there any way to allow a webpage under HTTPS to use ws requests normally? Google Chrome can do this.

I'm not loving the huge Favorites icons in Safari on MacOS 26, is there a way to reduce the size of them so that we can see more favorites on the list without scrolling down?

I'm developing a cross-platform application using Tauri, which uses WebView technology as the GUI renderer. On macOS, it should be using WKWebView. Based on my tests, all applications developed with Tauri can only run at 60fps on macOS and cannot take advantage of ProMotion displays to achieve a 120fps refresh rate, whereas the same application can run at 120fps on other platforms. I have submitted this issue to Tauri on GitHub, and it appears that this cannot be resolved through external settings, but only by modifying the WKWebView code to support higher frame rates. Is there any possible solution to this?
