Posting a Crash Report
If you need help investigating a crash, please include a crash report in your post. To smooth things along, follow these guidelines: For information on how to get a crash report, see Acquiring crash reports and diagnostic logs. Include the whole crash report as a text attachment (click the paperclip icon and then choose Add File). This avoids clogging up the timeline while also preserving the wealth of information in the crash report. If you’re not able to post your crash report as an attachment, see Can’t Post Crash Report as Attachment below. If you want to highlight a section of the report, include it in the main body of your post. Put the snippet in a code block so that it renders nicely. To create a code block, add a delimiter line containing triple backquotes before and after the block, or just click the Code Block button. If possible, post an Apple crash report. Third-party crash reporters are often missing critical information and have general reliability problems (for an explanation as to why, see Implementing Your Own Crash Reporter). Symbolicate your crash report before posting it. For information on how to do this, see Adding identifiable symbol names to a crash report. If you need to redact the crash report, do so consistently. Imagine you’re building the WaffleVarnish app whose bundle ID is com.example.wafflevarnish but you want to keep your new waffle varnishing technology secret. Replace WaffleVarnish with WwwwwwVvvvvvv and com.example.wafflevarnish with com.eeeeeee.wwwwwwvvvvvvv. This keeps the text in the crash report aligned while making it possible to distinguish the human-readible name of the app (WaffleVarnish) from the bundle ID (com.example.wafflevarnish). Finally, for information on how to use a crash report to debug your own problems, see Diagnosing issues using crash reports and device logs. Can’t Post Crash Report as Attachment Crash reports have two common extensions: .crash and .ips. If you have an .ips file, please post that [1]. DevForums lets you attach a .crash file but not an .ips file (r. 117468172). To work around this, change the extension to .txt. If DevForums complains that your crash report “contains sensitive language”, leave it out of your initial post and attach it to a reply. That often avoids this roadblock. If you still can’t post your crash report, upload it to a file sharing service and include the URL in your post. Post the URL in the clear, per tip 14 in Quinn’s Top Ten DevForums Tips. Getting a Crash Report from the Xcode Organiser The Xcode organiser shows crash reports from customers. If you’re investigating such a crash and want to post a crash report: Navigate to the crash in the Xcode organiser. Note If you can’t see the right crash, check the filter popups at the top. In the list of crashes, secondary click on your crash and choose Show in Finder. That reveals the Xcode crashpoint document (.xccrashpoint) in the Finder. Secondary click on that and choose Show Package Contents. In the resulting Finder window, find a crash report (.crash) that accurately represents the crash you’re investigating and attach that to your forums post. Share and Enjoy — Quinn “The Eskimo!” @ Developer Technical Support @ Apple let myEmail = "eskimo" + "1" + "@" + "apple.com" [1] Because it’s easy to go from an .ips file to a .crash file. I usually do this by choosing File > Quick Look in the Finder. For more info about these file formats, see this post. Revision History: 2025-08-29 Added the Getting a Crash Report from the Xcode Organiser section. 2024-11-21 Added a recommendation to post the .ips format if possible. 2024-05-21 Added some advice regarding the “contains sensitive language” message. 2023-10-25 Added the Can’t Post Crash Report as Attachment section. Made other minor editorial changes. 2021-08-26 First posted.

AXSpeech Thread Crash SEGV_ACCERR
Hi everyone, I've encountered a rare and strange crash in my app that I can't consistently reproduce. The crash seems to occur deep within Apple's internal frameworks, and I can't pinpoint which line of my own code is causing it. Here's the crash stack trace: #44 AXSpeech SIGSEGV SEGV_ACCERR 0 CoreFoundation ___CFCheckCFInfoPACSignature + 4 1 CoreFoundation _CFRunLoopSourceSignal + 28 2 Foundation _performQueueDequeue + 492 3 Foundation ___NSThreadPerformPerform + 88 4 CoreFoundation ___CFRUNLOOP_IS_CALLING_OUT_TO_A_SOURCE0_PERFORM_FUNCTION__ + 28 5 CoreFoundation ___CFRunLoopDoSource0 + 176 6 CoreFoundation ___CFRunLoopDoSources0 + 340 7 CoreFoundation ___CFRunLoopRun + 828 8 CoreFoundation _CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 608 9 Foundation -[NSRunLoop(NSRunLoop) runMode:beforeDate:] + 212 10 TextToSpeech _TTSCFAttributedStringCreateStringByBracketingAttributeWithString + 776 11 Foundation ___NSThread__start__ + 732 12 libsystem_pthread.dylib __pthread_start + 136 Sometimes, instead of line 10 referencing _TTSCFAttributedStringCreateStringByBracketingAttributeWithString, it shows: 10 TextToSpeech LogWarning(char const*, ...) + 7288 Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know what might be triggering this crash? Any guidance on how to investigate or resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Strange crash in iOS AudioToolboxCore when using AVSpeechSynthesizer in iOS 16

Edit: I can't reproduce the crash myself - it's just some (not all) app users. The log entries above appear locally on my device (with no crash) but I can't see the logs of the users who have the crashes. Any idea what this might be caused by, or how to go about tracking the problem down?

MultiDatePicker bug in iOS26
Hi! I've encountered strange bug in iOS 26. The MultiDatePicker component exhibits unreliable behavior when attempting to deselect previously chosen dates. Users often need to tap a selected date multiple times (e.g., tap to deselect, tap to re-select, then tap again to deselect) for the UI to correctly register the deselection and update the displayed state. This issue does not occur on iOS 18 or Xcode 26 previews, where MultiDatePicker functions as expected, allowing single-tap deselection. The bug only occurs on physical device or simulator. I can't lie, I have multidatepicker as crucial component in my larger app and can't really find a solution to this. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Here is the code to replicate the issue: import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View {     @ State private var selectedDates: Set = []     var body: some View {         NavigationStack {             Form {                 Section {                     MultiDatePicker("Select Dates", selection: $selectedDates)                 } header: {                     Text("MultiDatePicker Bug Test")                 }                 Section {                     Text("Selected Dates Count: (selectedDates.count)")                     ForEach(Array(selectedDates).sorted(by: {                         Calendar.current.date(from: $0)! < Calendar.current.date(from: $1)!                     }), id: .self) { dateComponent in                         if let date = Calendar.current.date(from: dateComponent) {                             Text(date.formatted(date: .long, time: .omitted))                         }                     }                 } header: {                     Text("Current State of Selected Dates")                 }             }             .navigationTitle("Date Picker Bug")         }     } } #Preview {     ContentView() }

User crash report contains ??? instead of my app's symbols and no binary image base address
A user of my app sent me a crash report. I have never seen one like this before. All of my app's symbols are replaced with three question marks (???) (*) <00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000> ??? so I cannot find out where exactly the crash happened. What can cause this kind of crash report and can I do anything with it? crash.ips

Unable to test my apps, crashing with provisioning profile validation
Since around September (iOS 26 release), i'm unable to test my app normally. It says "internet connection is required to verify [my certificate id]", or just crashing. All terms and conditions accepted, everything is valid, certificates are OK. Reinstallation via xcode does not help. Removal of provisioning profile, generating new does not help. Revoking of certificate and generating new does for around week, then it happens again, but do i need to do it every week now? In logs i see the following: default amfid validation failed because of missing trust and/or authorization (0xe8008026) error amfid not valid: 0xe8008026: The provisioning profile requires online authorization. error amfid Unexpected MISError (0xe8008026): The provisioning profile requires online authorization. default +0300 amfid /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/5B8E560E-75B2-46EF-8606-02072D99E9CF//Frameworks/oss.dylib not valid: Error Domain=AppleMobileFileIntegrityError Code=-400 "An unknown error was encountered" UserInfo={NSURL=file:///private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/5B8E560E-75B2-46EF-8606-02072D99E9CF//Frameworks/oss.dylib, NSLocalizedDescription=An unknown error was encountered} default kernel AMFI: code signature validation failed. It looks like apple validation servers are not working, or is it iOS bug? All provisioning profiles are showing like "valid" in apple developer center. My network is not behind a proxy, connection is direct. If use EXACTLY the same app, signed with the same provisioning, same signature, on another test device, it works! When i reset current device to default settings and installing the EXACTLY same app after it, it works as well. Looking for a help from apple developer support

iOS Resumable Uploads Troubles
I am referencing: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/pausing-and-resuming-uploads Specifically: You can’t resume all uploads. The server must support the latest resumable upload protocol draft from the HTTP Working Group at the IETF. Also, uploads that use a background configuration handle resumption automatically, so manual resuming is only needed for non-background uploads. I have control over both the app and the server, and can't seem to get it to work automatically with a background url session. In other words, making multiple requests to get the offset then upload, easy but I am trying to leverage this background configuration resume OS magic. So anyone know what spec version does the server/client need to implement? The docs reference version 3, however the standard is now at like 11. Of course, I am trying out 3. Does anyone know how exactly this resume is implemented in iOS, and what exactly it takes care of? I assumed that I can just POST to a generic end point, say /files, then the OS receives a 104 Location, and saves that. If the upload is interrupted, when the OS resumes the upload, it has enough information to figure out how to resume from the exact offset, either by making a HEAD request to get the offset, or handle a 409. I am assuming it does this, as if it doesn't, the 'uploads that use a background configuration handle resumption automatically' is useless, if it just restarts from 0. Note, of course making individual POST/HEAD/PATCH requests manually works, but at that point I'm not really leveraging any OS auto-magic, and am just consuming an API that could really implement any spec. This won't work in the background, as the OS seems to disallow random HTTP requests when it wakes the app for URLSession background resumes. As of right now, I have it 'partially' working, insofar as the app does receive the 104 didReceiveInformationalResponse url delegate call, however it seems to then hang; it stops sending bytes, seemingly when the 104 is received. However, the request does not complete. In other words, it doesn't seem to receive a client timeout or otherwise indicate the request has finished. Right now, I am starting a single request, POSTing to a /files end point, i.e. I am not getting the location first, then PATCHing to that, as if I do that, the OS 'automatic' resuming fails with a 409, i.e. it doesn't seem to make a HEAD request and/or use the 409 offset correction then continue with the PATCH. Any idea what could be going on?

Macbook M5 Development Kernel Panic
Hi, I'm posting a boot crash here. Environment Hardware: Macbook M5 Pro OS Version: macOS 26.3.1 (25D2128) and matching version of KDK from official apple download page Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 25.3.0 Reproducibility: Consistent Here is my panic log --- I truncated one field "SOCDNandContainer" as the original log is too long to post, hitting the size limit. I followed a blog post to boot the development kernel as the ReadMe file from KDK only contains instructions for Intel Macs. https://jaitechwriteups.blogspot.com/2025/10/boot-custom-macos-kernel-on-macos-apple.html I've tried a few 26.2 KDKs before 26.3.1 public launch, and they all showed same errors (26.1 and 26.0 KDKs don't have any development kernel for T8142 chip). Also, I own two fresh M5 Pro, and it is consistent across the machines. The highlight is panic(cpu 8 caller 0xfffffe0050e18010): [Exclaves] $JgOSLogServerComponent.RedactedLogServer.init(logServerNotific:OSLogServerComponent\/OSLogServerComponent_Swift.swift:815: Fatal error: invalid rawValue for TightbeamComponents.RedactedLogSer at PC ... Is this a genuine bug or am I following a wrong guide to boot the development kernel? I don't think the blog is wrong because I'm able to boot the "release" kernel included in the KDK on the same M5 Pro, and the "development" kernel on M4 Mac Mini, using the same routine. Just to be clear, I'm not compiling XNU myself, but am using the ones included in the kit.

Problems with iPad Pro M4 13 inch
We have an iOS/iPadOS (mixed use of UIKit/SwiftUI) app on the App Store since a couple of years. Over the last month or so, we are receiving many user reports complaining about app freezing and behaving very bad generally. The common denominator for all of these users (~10) is that they are using iPad Pro M4, 13 inch, and they are on at least iPadOS 26.2 - some have updated to 26.2.1, 26.3 etc but the problems remain. Some of the users say that they were using our app normally, until the release of 26.2, or perhaps 26.2.1, from when the problems seem to have started. Some report the problems that go away when they "use another WiFi", or when they hold the device in portrait mode (it seems that many complaints seem to suggest that the problem is in when holding the device in landscape). Other say the app works fine if they start it without network enabled, and after enabling network, continue in the app. While we currently do not have an iPad Pro M4 13 inch to test with, we haven't been able to reproduce the problem on any other device. We haven't heard of any similar problems from users of other devices. While we have no idea what is causing these problems, my feeling is that there might be a possibility that there is some kind of problem with iPad Pro M4 and the recent iPadOS versions. Just reaching out to see if anyone else have seen anything similar.

Data Persistence not functioning upon refresh
Hello, I am attempting to implement a simple button that loads persistent data from a class (see below). Button("Reload Data") { while tableData2.isEmpty == false{ tableData2.remove(at: 0) } while tableView.isEmpty == false{ tableView.remove(at: 0) } //update if csvData.isEmpty == false{ for superRow in csvData[0].tableData2{ tableData2.append(superRow) } for supperRow in csvData[0].tableView{ tableView.append(supperRow) } print("Item at 0: \(csvData[0].tableData2[[0][0]])") print("\(tableData2[0][0])") } else { print("csvData is empty") } } This button DOES work to appropriately print the data stored at the printed location once loaded in initially. The problem is that it doesn’t work across app restarts, which is the whole point of the button. Below I will include the rest of the relevant code with notes: In contentView declaring the persistant variables: Query private var csvData: [csvDataPersist] Environment(\.modelContext) private var modelContext The simple class of data I’m storing/pulling to/from: @Model class csvDataPersist{ var tableView: [[String]] = [] var tableData2: [[String]] = [] init(tableView: [[String]], tableData2: [[String]]) { self.tableView = tableView self.tableData2 = tableData2 } } In (appname)App: I tried both locations of the model container but it didn’t seem to matter var body: some Scene { WindowGroup { ContentView() .modelContainer(for: csvDataPersist.self) } //.modelContainer(for: csvDataPersist.self) .modelContainer(sharedModelContainer) } How I’m attempting to save the data: let newCSVDataPersist = csvDataPersist(tableView: tableView, tableData2: tableData2) //modelContext.rollback() //for superrow in csvData.count{ // csvData[superrow].tableData2.removeAll() //} //modelContext.rollback() //csvData[0].tableData2.removeAll() //csvData[0].tableView.removeAll() if csvData.isEmpty == false { print("not empty, deleting prev data") modelContext.delete(csvData[0]) } else { print("it empty, load data.") } modelContext.insert(newCSVDataPersist) //try modelContext.save() Note that I’ve tried just about every combination of enabling and disabling the commented out lines. This is the part of the code I am the least confident in, but after trying for hours to troubleshoot on my own I would appreciate any input from the community. Something else that may be of note, in a previous attempt, upon a second startup, the terminal would print: "coredata: error: error: persistent history (random number) has to be truncated due to the following entities being removed: ( csvdatapersist )" Why is csvDataPersist getting removed? What is it getting removed by? Looking up this error was fruitless. Most sites instructed me to basically hard reset my simulators, clean the build, restart my computer, and try again. I've done all of these things about a hundred times at this point, with no results. Any help would be much appreciated!

Invalid parameter not satisfying: parentEnvironment != nil
Since the beta releases of iPadOS 26 we have been having some crashes about Invalid parameter not satisfying: parentEnvironment != nil We got to contact a couple of users and we found out that the crash appears when entering a screen in a UINavigationController with the iPad device connected to a Magic Keyboard. Standard Memory Debugging Tools
In many cases I’ll be talking to folks with a memory management problem and I’ll say “You should investigate this with the standard memory debugging tools.” They then turn around and ask me “What are those tools?” Well, this is what I mean: Zombies — This lets you quickly detect when an object is used after it’s been deallocated. Learn more about it in the Finding zombies section of the Instruments Help and in Investigating crashes for zombie objects. There was also an excellent WWDC video about this, namely, WWDC 2010 Session 311 Advanced Memory Analysis with Instruments. This is no longer available in the video archive but if you can find a copy it’s well worth a watch. Address Sanitizer — This is a lower-level tool that finds a variety of common memory management issues, including use after free and buffer overruns. Learn more about this in Diagnosing memory, thread, and crash issues early and the various articles it links to. There’s also a good discussion of this tool, and other Xcode runtime diagnostic tools, in WWDC 2017 Session 406 Finding Bugs Using Xcode Runtime Tools (also no longer available from Apple). Hardware memory tagging — If you have access to a device with hardware memory tagging — starting with the A19 or M5 processors — consider enabling Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE). For the details, see Enabling enhanced security for your app or watch Secure your app with Memory Integrity Enforcement. Even if you don’t want to do that for your production app, enable it just for development by checking Hardware Memory Tagging in the Options tab of Xcode’s scheme editor. Older tools — There are a variety of older tools that might be useful in some specific circumstances. See the Enabling the Malloc Debugging Features section of the Memory Usage Performance Guidelines for more information about these. Of specific interest is libgmalloc, which is documented in a UNIX man page. For some practical examples of how to identity a memory management crash report and then investigate that crash with these tools, take a look at WWDC 2018 Session 414 Understanding Crashes and Crash Logs. Share and Enjoy — Quinn “The Eskimo!” @ Developer Technical Support @ Apple let myEmail = "eskimo" + "1" + "@" + "apple.com" Revision History: 2026-03-02 Added a discussion of hardware memory tagging. 2023-05-09 Added a link to Investigating crashes for zombie objects. 2023-03-22 Removed another WWDC session video link. Obscure assertion crash in com.apple.NSScrollingConcurrentVBLMonitor thread
I have received a few crash reports for my app "Find Any File" with an assertion failure as follows: assertion failure: "displayTiming != ((void *)0)" -> %lld Googling this turns up nothing, though. I wonder if someone has some insight into why this might happen, and how to prevent it. One reporting user suggests that it happens when my app shows a very long list of items in an NSTableView (>10000 elements). I have 4 reports from 3 users, and the main thread is doing something related to the table view each time, though not the same (the few other threads are all idle): Crash 1, in macOS 14.0 (23A344: Thread 0:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x182c69400 objc_msgSend + 0 1 AppKit 0x186f15400 -[CALayer(NSViewVisibleRect) NS_viewVisibleRectDidChange] + 40 2 AppKit 0x186900e10 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 276 3 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 4 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 5 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 6 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 7 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 8 AppKit 0x1869990e0 -[NSView translateOriginToPoint:] + 164 9 AppKit 0x186984108 -[NSClipView _immediateScrollToPoint:] + 420 10 AppKit 0x186983eb8 -[NSClipView scrollToPoint:] + 184 11 AppKit 0x186998d80 -[NSScrollView scrollClipView:toPoint:] + 84 12 AppKit 0x1869448dc -[NSClipView _scrollTo:animateScroll:flashScrollerKnobs:] + 480 13 AppKit 0x186b65b24 __62-[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL _stopGestureScrollTracking]_block_invoke + 192 14 AppKit 0x186e6a6e8 ___NSMainRunLoopPerformBlockInModes_block_invoke + 44 15 CoreFoundation 0x18310b8c0 __CFRUNLOOP_IS_CALLING_OUT_TO_A_BLOCK__ + 28 Crash 2, in macOS 14.1.1 (23B81): Thread 0:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 CoreFoundation 0x18ba401f4 DYLD-STUB$$_Block_object_assign + 0 1 libsystem_blocks.dylib 0x18b506118 _call_copy_helpers_excp + 80 2 libsystem_blocks.dylib 0x18b505c68 _Block_copy + 376 3 libdispatch.dylib 0x18b641c7c _dispatch_Block_copy + 32 4 libdispatch.dylib 0x18b658df0 _dispatch_source_set_handler + 92 5 CoreFoundation 0x18b99e1e4 __CFRunLoopCopyMode + 540 6 CoreFoundation 0x18b8b7458 CFRunLoopAddObserver + 220 7 AppKit 0x18f0a687c _PerfAddRunLoopObserver + 192 8 AppKit 0x18f87cd60 -[NSApplication(NSEventRouting) _nextEventMatchingEventMask:untilDate:inMode:dequeue:] + 368 9 AppKit 0x18f323318 -[_NSScrollingConcurrentEventMonitor startMonitoring] + 380 10 AppKit 0x18f321df8 -[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL _scrollView:trackGestureScrollWithEvent:] + 884 11 AppKit 0x18f2e67f8 -[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL scrollView:scrollWheelWithEvent:] + 512 12 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 13 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 14 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 15 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 16 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 17 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 18 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 19 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 20 AppKit 0x18fc45880 -[NSCollectionView scrollWheel:] + 180 21 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 22 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 23 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 24 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 25 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 26 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 27 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 28 AppKit 0x18f1d27b0 -[NSWindow(NSEventRouting) _reallySendEvent:isDelayedEvent:] + 652 As you can see, there's no code of mine involved at the time of crash. The other (and older) reports are similar, in macOS 13.6.1 and macOS 13.1. All four happened on ARM architecture (which may not be significant due to small number of samples). Memory use of app was not critical (in one case it was about 9 GB total, in others below 4 GB). The "Binary Images" section only lists Apple libs, apart from my app's. So, there seems to be no 3rd party ext involved. I've attached a full report as well. Full report of Crash 1

Postgres in Sandboxed App
Has anyone gotten Postgres to run in a sandboxed app? I am compiling Postgres 18 myself from source and have tried to patch it so it doesn't use sysv (shmem) but it apparently has all kinds of invocations of sysv and once it's sandboxed has issues, e.g.: 2026-02-24 18:26:05.014 EST [4384] FATAL: semctl(65596, 16, SETVAL, 536) failed: Operation not permitted Does anyone know of a way to either make the sandbox relax or make Postgres compatible with sandboxing? I have tried passing flags to initdb to use POSIX semaphores but it always wants to use sysv so I'm finding myself super deep in the weeds of the Postgres source code.

Based on the stack trace, the issue was likely detected while layout was in progress. Our analytics show this happens generally on app launch and occasionally during normal use. Unfortunately, I couldn't gather additional diagnostic data. I tried to reproduce the issue using the Leaks tool and enabled runtime diagnostics (Address Sanitizer, Malloc Scribble, Zombies), but without success. I may be overlooking something — any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

AVP, Developer Strap v2, Ethernet connection and Xcode
Hi, I wonder if there's something that can be configured to force Xcode (and preferably MVD too) to use Ethernet connection between Mac Mini and Apple Vision Pro (over a USB hub, not a direct USB connection)? If I connect AVP to Mac directly via USB, the bridge gets created and both MVD and Xcode default to it, which is great because of higher speed and lower latency. My problem is that I work with external camera, so I can have either the camera, or the Mac connection, but not both. I tried to solve that by plugging in a small active USB hub, so the strap and camera are connected to it, plus it has Ethernet adapter, which is plugged into Mac port. I tried with internet sharing on Mac - AVP has internet access, I can ping AVP from Mac, but Xcode and MVD still use wifi. I tried to manually configure bridge without internet sharing - same effect. I tried to make the bridge highest priority connection - nothing changed. I tried to force routing to AVP IP over the bridge - nothing (and it seems that my routing entry went missing after some time and was replaced by "use wifi interface"). So - is there something more I can do to make at least Xcode go over the cable? Debugging over wifi often takes forever.

Xcode 26.x Frequently Freezes During Breakpoint Debugging with Simulator
When I use Xcode 26 (0.1, 1) for debugging and hit a breakpoint, using "step over" causes the debugger to freeze at a random line of code. Clicking "Pause program execution" indicates that the line is being executed, but the breakpoint never exits, seemingly causing a freeze. The application on the simulator also becomes unresponsive. However, when I do not use breakpoints, my program runs smoothly, and debugging on a physical device does not cause any freezes. This issue only occurs with the simulator. I am using Xcode on Apple Silicon, and due to some third-party SDKs that depend on Rosetta, our app can only run on the Rosetta simulator. We did not encounter this issue when using Xcode 16.x for simulator debugging. The current situation with Xcode 26.x significantly reduces our development efficiency. What could be causing this, and is there a solution?

Issues with ScrollView and nested (Lazy)VStack
Hello, We're having massive issues when we nest LazyVStacks inside a ScrollView. Our app relies heavily on custom views that are sometimes nested two or three levels deep. While the app does work fine overall, we see a massive spike in CPU usage in Instruments when accessibility features like VoiceOver are enabled. Those spikes never recover, so the app basically freezes and stays that way until force quit. We are in talks with a third-party service that uses accessibility features we want to use. Fortunately they have created a GitHub repository which recreates the issue we're facing. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could have a look at the code and tell us what the issue is, or if there's some kind of workaround. Here's the link to the repo: https://github.com/pendo-io/SwiftUI_Hang_Reproduction. Just to be clear, the issue is not directly related to the third-party SDK, but to the accessibility features used in conjunction with SwiftUI. As you can see in the repo the issue is reproducible without having the SDK included in the project. Thanks in advance

Issue With Apple Pay Express
We are facing an issue with Apple Pay address details while customers are placing orders on our production site. By default, the following values are being passed during checkout: First Name: ApplePay Last Name: Express Address: ApplePay Street When we manually enter these same details, our validation correctly prevents the order from being placed and displays an appropriate error message. However, on our production site, real customers are still able to successfully place orders with these exact details. Could you please help us understand: How these orders are being allowed to proceed despite the validation? Is this behaviour expected from Apple Pay ? How can we prevent orders from being placed with such placeholder address details? Please let us know if you need any additional information from our side. We have also attached an image showing the address details and the corresponding order number for reference. Thanks in advance for your support.

Thank you!

Hi! I've encountered strange bug in iOS 26. The MultiDatePicker component exhibits unreliable behavior when attempting to deselect previously chosen dates. Users often need to tap a selected date multiple times (e.g., tap to deselect, tap to re-select, then tap again to deselect) for the UI to correctly register the deselection and update the displayed state. This issue does not occur on iOS 18 or Xcode 26 previews, where MultiDatePicker functions as expected, allowing single-tap deselection. The bug only occurs on physical device or simulator. I can't lie, I have multidatepicker as crucial component in my larger app and can't really find a solution to this. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Here is the code to replicate the issue: import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View {     @ State private var selectedDates: Set = []     var body: some View {         NavigationStack {             Form {                 Section {                     MultiDatePicker("Select Dates", selection: $selectedDates)                 } header: {                     Text("MultiDatePicker Bug Test")                 }                 Section {                     Text("Selected Dates Count: (selectedDates.count)")                     ForEach(Array(selectedDates).sorted(by: {                         Calendar.current.date(from: $0)! < Calendar.current.date(from: $1)!                     }), id: .self) { dateComponent in                         if let date = Calendar.current.date(from: dateComponent) {                             Text(date.formatted(date: .long, time: .omitted))                         }                     }                 } header: {                     Text("Current State of Selected Dates")                 }             }             .navigationTitle("Date Picker Bug")         }     } } #Preview {     ContentView() }

User crash report contains ??? instead of my app's symbols and no binary image base address
A user of my app sent me a crash report. I have never seen one like this before. All of my app's symbols are replaced with three question marks (???) Unable to test my apps, crashing with provisioning profile validation

If the device is not connected to the keyboard then nothing happens and everything works ok. From our end we haven't managed to reproduce the crash so I am pasting part of the stacktrace if it can be of any help. 3 UIKitCore 0x19dfd2e14 -[_UIFocusContainerGuideFallbackItemsContainer Standard Memory Debugging Tools
Obscure assertion crash in com.apple.NSScrollingConcurrentVBLMonitor thread
I have received a few crash reports for my app "Find Any File" with an assertion failure as follows: assertion failure: "displayTiming != ((void *)0)" -> %lld Googling this turns up nothing, though. I wonder if someone has some insight into why this might happen, and how to prevent it. One reporting user suggests that it happens when my app shows a very long list of items in an NSTableView (>10000 elements). I have 4 reports from 3 users, and the main thread is doing something related to the table view each time, though not the same (the few other threads are all idle): Crash 1, in macOS 14.0 (23A344: Thread 0:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 libobjc.A.dylib 0x182c69400 objc_msgSend + 0 1 AppKit 0x186f15400 -[CALayer(NSViewVisibleRect) NS_viewVisibleRectDidChange] + 40 2 AppKit 0x186900e10 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 276 3 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 4 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 5 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 6 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 7 AppKit 0x186900db0 NSViewHierarchyInvalidateVisibleRect + 180 8 AppKit 0x1869990e0 -[NSView translateOriginToPoint:] + 164 9 AppKit 0x186984108 -[NSClipView _immediateScrollToPoint:] + 420 10 AppKit 0x186983eb8 -[NSClipView scrollToPoint:] + 184 11 AppKit 0x186998d80 -[NSScrollView scrollClipView:toPoint:] + 84 12 AppKit 0x1869448dc -[NSClipView _scrollTo:animateScroll:flashScrollerKnobs:] + 480 13 AppKit 0x186b65b24 __62-[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL _stopGestureScrollTracking]_block_invoke + 192 14 AppKit 0x186e6a6e8 ___NSMainRunLoopPerformBlockInModes_block_invoke + 44 15 CoreFoundation 0x18310b8c0 __CFRUNLOOP_IS_CALLING_OUT_TO_A_BLOCK__ + 28 Crash 2, in macOS 14.1.1 (23B81): Thread 0:: Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread 0 CoreFoundation 0x18ba401f4 DYLD-STUB$$_Block_object_assign + 0 1 libsystem_blocks.dylib 0x18b506118 _call_copy_helpers_excp + 80 2 libsystem_blocks.dylib 0x18b505c68 _Block_copy + 376 3 libdispatch.dylib 0x18b641c7c _dispatch_Block_copy + 32 4 libdispatch.dylib 0x18b658df0 _dispatch_source_set_handler + 92 5 CoreFoundation 0x18b99e1e4 __CFRunLoopCopyMode + 540 6 CoreFoundation 0x18b8b7458 CFRunLoopAddObserver + 220 7 AppKit 0x18f0a687c _PerfAddRunLoopObserver + 192 8 AppKit 0x18f87cd60 -[NSApplication(NSEventRouting) _nextEventMatchingEventMask:untilDate:inMode:dequeue:] + 368 9 AppKit 0x18f323318 -[_NSScrollingConcurrentEventMonitor startMonitoring] + 380 10 AppKit 0x18f321df8 -[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL _scrollView:trackGestureScrollWithEvent:] + 884 11 AppKit 0x18f2e67f8 -[NSScrollingBehaviorConcurrentVBL scrollView:scrollWheelWithEvent:] + 512 12 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 13 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 14 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 15 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 16 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 17 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 18 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 19 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 20 AppKit 0x18fc45880 -[NSCollectionView scrollWheel:] + 180 21 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 22 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 23 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 24 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 25 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 26 AppKit 0x18f241770 forwardMethod + 252 27 AppKit 0x18f2e62a0 -[NSView scrollWheel:] + 408 28 AppKit 0x18f1d27b0 -[NSWindow(NSEventRouting) _reallySendEvent:isDelayedEvent:] + 652 As you can see, there's no code of mine involved at the time of crash. The other (and older) reports are similar, in macOS 13.6.1 and macOS 13.1. All four happened on ARM architecture (which may not be significant due to small number of samples). Memory use of app was not critical (in one case it was about 9 GB total, in others below 4 GB). The "Binary Images" section only lists Apple libs, apart from my app's. So, there seems to be no 3rd party ext involved. I've attached a full report as well. Full report of Crash 1

EXC_BAD_ACCESS issue need advice
Could you help me with resolving this issue, please. I've got following trace: ksmemory_notifyUnhandledFatalSignal EXC_BAD_ACCESS (KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS) Crashed: com.apple.main-thread EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS 0x000000000000002b Crashed: com.apple.main-thread 0 KSCrash 0xbff8 ksmemory_notifyUnhandledFatalSignal + 12 1 KSCrash 0xcd6c handleSignal + 100 2 libsystem_platform.dylib 0x4178 _sigtramp + 56 3 libsystem_kernel.dylib 0x42f8 mach_msg2_internal + 76 4 libsystem_kernel.dylib 0x4214 mach_msg_overwrite + 428 5 libsystem_kernel.dylib 0x405c mach_msg + 24 6 CoreFoundation 0x46868 __CFRunLoopServiceMachPort + 160 7 CoreFoundation 0x1d848 __CFRunLoopRun + 1188 8 CoreFoundation 0x1ca6c _CFRunLoopRunSpecificWithOptions + 532 9 GraphicsServices 0x1498 GSEventRunModal + 120 10 UIKitCore 0x9ddf8 -[UIApplication _run] + 792 11 UIKitCore 0x46e54 UIApplicationMain + 336 12 UIKitCore 0x172938 -[UIScrollView contentInset] + 588 13 AppName 0xed9440 main + 4386804800 (AppDelegate.swift:4386804800) 14 ??? 0x189f76e28 (Missing) It appears that a variable or object is attempting to access another object that has already been deallocated.
