crash while exectuing __llvm_profile_write_file() in Xcode26.0
I am developing an iOS in-app SDK for collecting code coverage data. The SDK writes coverage data to a specified file by calling __llvm_profile_set_filename and __llvm_profile_write_file. Firebase FCM iOS Notifications Not Sending – APNs "Auth Error from APNs or Web Push"
Hi everyone. I’m working on an iOS app that uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications. I’m encountering an issue when trying to send notifications either from Firebase Functions or directly using the FCM token with the Firebase Admin SDK and REST API. Error Message: FirebaseMessagingError: Auth error from APNS or Web Push Service code: 'messaging/third-party-auth-error' message: 'Auth error from APNS or Web Push Service' What I’ve Set Up: iOS App Registered in Firebase Bundle ID: Kilovative-Designs.ParkAware APNs Key downloaded from Apple Developer Portal Team ID and Key ID correctly entered in Firebase Console Firebase Admin SDK Service Account setup and used for sending Device is successfully receiving FCM tokens Subscribed to topics and calling Messaging.messaging().subscribe(toTopic:) works Using firebase-admin to send FCM messages via sendToDevice or sendToTopic What I’ve Tried: Tested push via firebase-admin in Node.js (got same APNs auth error) Tested with both topic-based and direct token-based push Confirmed the .p8 key is uploaded in Firebase, with correct Key ID and Team ID Tried generating a new APNs Auth Key Firebase Admin SDK is initialized with the correct service account Using Node.js firebase-admin with a known good FCM token, and sending this payload: { notification: { title: "Test Notification", body: "This is a direct FCM test" }, token: "cxleOwi73EhFh9C5_V4hED:APA91bE3W..." } Returns: FirebaseMessagingError: Auth error from APNS or Web Push Service Questions: Are there known conditions under which Firebase throws this error even if the APNs Auth Key is present? Does the Bundle ID need to start with com. in the Apple Developer Portal and Firebase for APNs authentication to work? Could this be a certificate or provisioning profile mismatch issue (even when using a .p8 key)? Is there a way to manually validate APNs authentication from Firebase outside of actual push delivery? Any insight or guidance would be incredibly helpful. I’m new to developing and have tried repeated efforts to fix this issue but still haven’t resolved it. Thanks in advance!

unsupported option '-G' for target 'arm64-apple-ios12.0'
I had an Intel macbook and I used that to build and release my app to app store but I didn't release for 2 years. Recently a bug was reported that I needed to update the a code and make a new release with my apple silicon macbook. But I get this issue when I go to Product -> Archive. I tried updating pods, as well as adding following line to the Podfile but no change. platform :ios, "12.0" target "myApp" do use_frameworks! pod "AFNetworking" pod "KVNProgress" pod "GCDWebServer" pod "CocoaLumberjack" pod "Intercom" pod "GoogleWebRTC" pod "SAMKeychain" pod "googleapis", :path => '.' pod 'gRPC', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-Core', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-ProtoRPC', '1.0.0' pod 'gRPC-RxLibrary', '1.0.0' pod 'BoringSSL-GRPC', '0.0.7' end post_install do |installer| installer.pods_project.targets.each do |target| if target.name == 'BoringSSL-GRPC' target.source_build_phase.files.each do |file| if file.settings && file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'] flags = file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'].split flags.reject! { |flag| flag == '-GCC_WARN_INHIBIT_ALL_WARNINGS' } file.settings['COMPILER_FLAGS'] = flags.join(' ') end end end end end Nothing worked for me. What do I do now? I appreciate any help

ATS doesn't download AirPlay Diagnostic profile
I need to install the AirPlay profile on an iphone to watch decrypted traffic in ATS for development work on CarPlay. The documentation for ATS says to click "Utilities -> Download Profiles -> AirPlay Diagnostic Mode". When I do this, it brings up a file dialog, presumably to select a location to download. But nothing happens. The other profiles launch a web browser and download the .mobileconfig profile. How do I get the AirPlay profile? Am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to work? I found ATSAssetsInfoDefault.plist which references these files. And they all have https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/iOS/iOS_Logs/... except the AirPlay profile, which is type "slug" and just says ats-airplay-diagnostic-mode-profile. Is this a bug in the app?

Mac (Designed for iPad) not been able to install on Mac testflight
Hi I developed an iPhone app but now I want to release the same app for iPad and Mac (Design for iPad). I made the changes below but I still not been able to install the app on my Mac. It says the app is incompatible but my Mac is MacBook Pro M2 which fills the requirements to install it. Things I did so my iPhone app could have support for iPad and Mac Added iPad and Mac (Designed for iPad) for the supported destinations Change the Status Bar Style to Require full screen Changed iOS minimum Deployments iOS to 17.6 Updated the launch screen logo so stays in the middle Xcode version 16.2 See the sccreenshots of the Xcode configuration and of the TestFlight on my MacBook Pro M2 Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks.

Can’t Enable Developer Mode on Apple Watch – No Prompt Appears
Hi, I’m currently developing a watchOS app and ran into an issue where I can’t enable Developer Mode on my Apple Watch. Device info: Apple Watch Series 9 (watchOS 10.4) Paired with iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.4.1) Xcode 15.3 (macOS 15.5, Apple Silicon) Issue: When I try to run the app on my physical watch device, Xcode prompts that Developer Mode needs to be enabled. However, there is no approval request on the Apple Watch, and no Developer Mode option appears under Settings → Privacy & Security. I’ve already tried the following: Rebooting both devices Unpairing and re-pairing the watch Erasing and setting up the watch again Signing out and back into my Apple ID Using the latest Xcode version (15.3 and 16.3 both tested) Running clean builds and checking provisioning profiles Attempting install via both simulator and physical device Still no luck — the app will not launch on the Apple Watch due to Developer Mode being disabled, and the option is missing entirely from Settings. I visited an Apple Store Genius Bar, but they couldn’t help and told me to contact Developer Support. I’ve already submitted a support request, but in the meantime I wanted to ask here in case anyone else has experienced this and found a workaround. Thanks in advance.

Datadog Mobile Vitals equivalent in Instruments
Hello We use Datadog Mobile Vitals in our app and I'm trying to run some tools in Instruments for comparison. I'm not sure what tool should I use for some of those metrics: Slow Renders Description: With slow renders data, you can monitor which views are taking longer than 16ms or 60Hz to render. Instruments equivalent: Hangs including microhangs (?) CPU ticks per second Description: RUM tracks CPU ticks per second for each view and the CPU utilization over the course of a session. The recommended range is <40 for good and <80 for moderate. Instruments equivalent: CPU Profiler (?) Frozen Frames - Description: Frames that take longer than 700ms to render appear as stuck and unresponsive in your application. These are classified as frozen frames. Instruments equivalent: Hangs with > 500ms (?) Memory Utilization Description: The amount of physical memory used by your application in bytes for each view, over the course of a session. The recommended range is <200MB for good and <400MB for moderate. Instruments equivalent: Allocation (?)

Followed docs for "Local Package", how to add to 2nd project?
I have a couple apps in one git repository. I'd like to have a Swift package in that repo as well, shared by apps. In other words, I don't want a separate repo for the Swift package. I followed the instructions here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/organizing-your-code-with-local-packages It seems to work. I can write code like this in my app: import MyLocalPackage func foo() { myLocalPackageFunc() } I notice that the package is not listed under Project > MyApp > Package Dependencies. I don't really care, as long as I can reuse code between apps. But when I try to add this package code to a 2nd app, I'm at a loss. I tried "Add Package Dependencies" and "Add Local", but that creates a different looking setup than the 1st app. The code is browsable in the project navigator. And when I try to build it says "Missing package product 'MyLocalPackage'. The documentation linked above, which I used for the 1st app, does a "New > Package". I don't want a new package. How can I connect the existing one?

Xcode 16.3 C++ compiler makes binaries with corrupted memory.
I am creating an xcframework for a static library for iOS, but I am encountering a perplexing issue with Xcode 16.3. When I build an xcframework using C++ in one project and import it into another project, the application runs with corrupted memory. In the framework project, I use os_unfair_lock, but when attempting to lock, the app crashes due to a state error. This suggests that memory corruption is occurring. When the xcframework is built with Xcode 16.2, a proper binary is generated, and the app runs without any problems. Since I do not want to disclose the source code, I am trying to construct a minimal project that reproduces the issue, but so far I have not been successful. Fundamentally, I feel that the compiler in Xcode 16.3 cannot be trusted.

Help Analyzing Crash Logs – Auto Layout Threading Violation, Memory Pressure, CPU Usage
We're facing critical stability issues with a Xamarin-based iOS warehouse management app and need expert validation of our crash log analysis. We’re seeing recurring issues related to: Auto Layout Threading Violations Memory Pressure Terminations CPU Resource Usage Violations These are causing app crashes and performance degradation in production. We've attached representative crash logs to this post. Technical Validation Questions: Do the crash logs point to app-level defects (e.g., threading/memory management), or could user behavior be a contributing factor? Is ~1.8GB memory usage acceptable for enterprise apps on iOS, or does it breach platform best practices? Do the threading violations suggest a fundamental architectural or concurrency design flaw in the codebase? Would you classify these as enterprise-grade stability concerns requiring immediate architectural refactoring? Do the memory logs indicate potential leaks, or are the spikes consistent with expected usage patterns under load? Could resolving the threading violation eliminate or reduce the memory and CPU issues (i.e., a cascading failure)? Are these issues rooted in Xamarin framework limitations, or do they point more toward app-specific implementation problems? Documentation & UX Questions: What Apple-recommended solutions exist for these specific issues? (e.g., memory management, thread safety, layout handling) From your experience, how would these issues manifest for users? (e.g., crashes, slow performance, logout events, unresponsive UI, etc. JetsamEvent-2025-05-27-123434_REDACTED.ips ) WarehouseApp.iOS.cpu_resource-2025-05-30-142737_REDACTED.ips WarehouseApp.iOS-2025-05-27-105134_REDACTED.ips Any insights, analysis, or references would be incredibly helpful.

Xcode local documentation location
Where are the local documentation files location on MacOS? None of the existing data on the internet is applicable anymore. Trying to bundle documentation for use in an LLM and the developer site is unusable for crawling. Thanks! *.docset

React-Native app XCode build on IOS

Thanks in advance!

xcode instruments could not find any libraries loaded by this process
I am using XCode16 and macOS 14.7.2. Previously, using the instruments on an iPhone with iOS 14.3 was normal, but when I upgraded to iOS 18, the instruments often couldn't find the library. I have to restart the instruments to restore normal operation, but the problem will occur again after using it for a period of time
