Sending to Private Relay Email using amazon ses not working
Hello Developers, I have ran into a problem while sending mail to apple private relay email. We have built a mobile application where user can sign up through apple and they can sign up using hide-my-email feature. Which provides private relay address for us. Now we want to communicate with them using private relay mail address. The technology we are using to send emails are amazon SES, have done SPF, DMIK, DMARC and added domains in apple identity services for mail communication, passed an SPF check as well. But still mail is not getting delivered what am i doing wrong or apple doesn't support third party apps for sending emails to private relay? Is there any other way to achieve this please let me know Using the same body as attached in image is working fine for rest emails.

Questions about user impact and best practices for rotating the private key used for Sign in with Apple
Hi, We are operating a service that uses Sign in with Apple for user registration and login. As part of our security incident response and periodic security improvements, we are planning to rotate the private key used to generate the client secret (JWT) for Sign in with Apple. I have read the Human Interface Guidelines and the AuthenticationServices documentation, but I could not find a clear description of the behavior and user impact when rotating this private key. I would like to ask the following questions: Background: We issue a Sign in with Apple private key (with a Key ID) in our Apple Developer account. Our server uses this private key to generate the client secret (JWT). This is used for Sign in with Apple login on our web / mobile app. We are planning to invalidate the existing private key and switch to a newly issued one. Questions: Impact on existing logged-in sessions Will rotating the private key force already logged-in users (who previously signed in with Apple) to be logged out from our service? Can the user identifier (such as the "sub" claim) for existing Sign in with Apple users change due to key rotation? Recommended frequency and best practices Does Apple recommend rotating this private key only when it is compromised, or on a regular basis? If there are any official documents or examples that describe how to safely perform key rotation in production, we would appreciate a pointer. Impact on marketing / analytics We are using user IDs (linked via Sign in with Apple) for analytics and marketing attribution. Is there any expected impact on such use cases caused by rotating the private key? For example, is there any possibility that user identifiers change as a result of key rotation, or anything we should be careful about from a data linkage perspective? Our goal is to rotate the private key in a secure way without causing service downtime, mass logouts, or loss of account linkage. If there is already an official document that covers this, please let me know the URL. Thank you in advance.

DeviceCheck.generateToken, Error: com.apple.devicecheck.error 0
Dear Apple Developer Support Team, We are experiencing a recurring issue with the DeviceCheck API where the following error is being returned: com.apple.devicecheck.error 0 Upon analyzing our logs, we have noticed that this error occurs significantly more often when users are connected to Wi-Fi networks, compared to mobile networks. This leads us to suspect that there might be a relationship between Wi-Fi configuration and the DeviceCheck service’s ability to generate or validate tokens. We would like to know: Is this error code (0) known to be caused by specific types of network behavior or misconfigurations on Wi-Fi networks (e.g., DNS filtering, firewall restrictions, proxy servers)? Are there any recommended best practices for ensuring reliable DeviceCheck API communication over Wi-Fi networks? Additionally, could you please clarify what general conditions could trigger this com.apple.devicecheck.error 0? The lack of specific documentation makes debugging this issue difficult from our side. Any guidance or internal documentation on this error code and its potential causes would be greatly appreciated. IDE: Xcode 16.3 Looking forward to your support. Best regards,

Passkey returns unknown error instead of excludedCredentials error when “Saving on another device” option is used.
Hello, I'm receiving an unknown error instead of the excluded credentials error when using the "Save on another device" option for Passkey creation. When creating the ASAuthorizationPlatformPublicKeyCredentialProvider request to pass to the ASAuthorizationController. The excludedCredentials property is used to add a list of credentials to exclude in the registration process. This is to prevent duplicate passkeys from being created if one already exists for the user. When trying to create a duplicate passkey using the same device, the ASAuthorizationControllerDelegate method authorizationController(controller, didCompleteWithError:) is called. The error received has localized description “At least one credential matches an entry of the excludeCredentials list in the platform attached authenticator." When trying to create a duplicate passkey using the “Save on another device” option. The delegate method is called, but the error received has code 1000 ("com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError" - code: 1000). Which maps to the unknown error case in ASAuthorization error type.

ATT and Google AdMob
Hi, I created an app and want to use Google Admob to show ads. I am a little bit confused how exactly tracking, more specifically, the ATT-framework and Google Admob relate to each other. The current work flow is: ATT-permission given -> show google ad mob consent form However, I am confused what I should do if the ATT permission is denied. Can I still show the consent form of google admobs or is that forbidden? If so what do I need to then? Thank you!

Conditional create on iPhone + Safari + Passwords violates the WebAuthn spec
WebAuthn Level 3 § 5.1.3 Step 22 Item 4 states the steps a user agent MUST follow when "conditional" mediation is used in conjunction with required user verification: Let userVerification be the effective user verification requirement for credential creation, a Boolean value, as follows. If pkOptions.authenticatorSelection.userVerification is set to required If options.mediation is set to conditional and user verification cannot be collected during the ceremony, throw a ConstraintError DOMException. Let userVerification be true. On my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.5, Safari + Passwords does not exhibit this behavior; instead an error is not reported and user verification is not performed (i.e., the UV bit is 0). Per the spec this results in a registration ceremony failure on the server which is made all the more "annoying" since the credential was created in Passwords forcing a user to then delete the credential. : If the Relying Party requires user verification for this registration, verify that the UV bit of the flags in authData is set. In contrast when I use Google Password Manager + Chrome on a Samsung Galaxy S24 running Android 15, user verification is enforced and the UV bit is 1. Either the UV bit should be 1 after enforcing user verification or an error should be thrown since user verification cannot be performed.

api and data collection app stroe connect
I added a feature to my app that retrieves only app settings (no personal data) from my API hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The app does not send, collect, track, or share any user data, and I do not store or process any personal information. Technical details such as IP address, user agent, and device information may be automatically transmitted as part of the internet protocol when the request is made, but my app does not log or use them. Cloudflare may collect this information. Question: Does this count as “data collection” for App Store Connect purposes, or can I select “No Data Collected”?

Production-Grade Implementation Guidance: DCError Matrices, Retry Strategies, and Simulator Testing for App Attest APIs
Hi there, We're implementing Apple's DeviceCheck App Attest for production iOS authentication. The public documentation defines DCError cases but doesn't specify which errors are expected per API method or recommend retry/remediation strategies. We need Apple's guidance to implement robust, production-aligned error handling before rollout. 1. We understand the following errors are possible across App Attest APIs: invalidKey invalidInput featureUnsupported serverUnavailable unknownSystemFailure Specifically, please confirm which errors can occur for: DCAppAttestService.generateKey() DCAppAttestService.attestKey(_:clientData:) DCAppAttestService.generateAssertion(keyID:clientData:) Are there any additional undocumented or edge-case errors we should handle? 2. Retry Strategy & Remediation Matrix Question: For each API method and error code, please help us with proposal around which errorCode is retriable, whats the remediation pre retry, retry cap and backoff strategy: Kindly also help with errors that are not covered here: Specific sub-questions: invalidKey handling: When this error occurs: Should the app delete the key and call generateKey again? Or should it fail the entire flow? serverUnavailable handling: Should we retry immediately, or wait before retrying? Is exponential backoff recommended? What's the recommended max retry count? Backoff strategy: Which errors (if any) qualify for exponential backoff? Recommended base delay, max delay, and jitter approach? When should we give up and fail the request? unknownSystemFailure: Is this retriable or should we fail? Any known causes or mitigations? 3. Simulator Testing Questions: Simulator API behavior: Can App Attest APIs be called normally on iOS Simulator? If not, is there a way to simulate for testing. Do they complete successfully with simulated attestations, or do they fail? Thanks, Nirekshitha

Password AutoFill does not pick up saved password in developer mode
Without developer mode, I was able to get Password AutoFill to work in my SwiftUI app with my local Vapor server using ngrok and adding the Associated Domains capability with the value webcredentials:....ngrok-free.app and the respective apple-app-site-association file on my local server in /.well-known/. (works on device, but not in the simulator). However, if I use the developer mode (webcredentials:....ngrok-free.app?mode=developer) it only works halfway when running from Xcode: I get asked to save the password, but the saved passwords are not picked up, when I try to login again. Neither on device, nor in the simulator. If I remove the ?mode=developer it seems to work as expected. Is this by design, or am I missing something? var body: some View { ... Section(header: Text("Email")) { TextField("Email", text: $viewModel.credentials.username) .textContentType(.username) .autocapitalization(.none) .keyboardType(.emailAddress) } Section(header: Text("Passwort")) { SecureField("Passwort", text: $viewModel.credentials.password) .textContentType(.password) } ... }

Lost account access
Hello, We are currently unable to access our Apple account. We previously initiated an account recovery request. According to the notification we received, the recovery process was scheduled to be completed on April 26, 2026, and we were informed that we would receive a phone call or SMS to proceed. However, we did not receive any call, SMS, or email communication. Details from the recovery notification: Recovery request date: April 16, 2026 Expected contact date: April 26, 2026 As of now: We still do not have access to the account No follow-up communication was received The recovery process appears to be stalled We would like to understand: What is the current status of the account recovery request? Why no contact was made on the scheduled date? What steps we should take next to regain access to the account? This account is critical for our Apple Developer operations, so we would appreciate your assistance. We can provide any additional verification information if required. Thank you.

iPhone + Safari + Passwords violates WebAuthn spec when pubKeyCredParams doesn't contain ES256
WebAuthn Level 3 § 6.3.2 Step 2 states the authenticator must : Check if at least one of the specified combinations of PublicKeyCredentialType and cryptographic parameters in credTypesAndPubKeyAlgs is supported. If not, return an error code equivalent to "NotSupportedError" and terminate the operation. On my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.5, Safari + Passwords does not exhibit this behavior; instead an error is not reported and an ES256 credential is created when an RP passes a non-empty sequence that does not contain {"type":"public-key","alg":-7} (e.g., [{"type":"public-key","alg":-8}]). When I use Chromium 138.0.7204.92 on my laptop running Arch Linux in conjunction with the Passwords app (connected via the "hybrid" protocol), a credential is not created and instead an error is reported per the spec.

"Unknown" error on Sign in with Apple only for US users
Hey folks, I'm seeing an issue where my iOS app is getting an "unknown" error when US users try to sign in with Apple. It works fine for users in other countries like the UK, Singapore, and Taiwan. Could it be related to my developer account not being based in the US? Or have I missed something in my settings? Thanks in advance!
