How can I use private AI agents in Xcode 26.3?
I work on some proprietary codebases and can only use private AI services with them (currently MiniMax M2.1 and GLM 4.7). It all works great with both Claude Code and OpenCode agents, and I'd like to leverage the new agentic capabilities that are now in Xcode 26.3. I'm not seeing any option to connect to OpenCode, and both the Anthropic and OpenAI providers require an enterprise account (which I don't have access to). Are there any options that I'm missing here?

How to disable Temporary Tabs in Xcode?
It's maddening. I just opened a file and now it's gone because I had the audacity to open another file. I've learned that I can double click the tab of the first file to make it a permanent tab... but, of course, I'll need to do that every time I ever open any file ever, and if I close that file and come back to it later I'm going to be constantly having to double click tabs just to make Xcode stop replacing my tabs for me. It's nuts. It's driving me insane. Please. Is there any way to just DISABLE the temporary tabs behavior? I don't find it helpful in any way and I find it to be destructive to my development workflows.

Slow incremental build times with xcodebuild command
When I compile my Xcode project using the xcodebuild command, I observe long incremental build durations. For example, compiling a new, empty project in Xcode only takes around one second. The same project takes 7 seconds to compile using the xcodebuild command. I've noticed that xcodebuild hangs at the "GatherProvisioningInputs" phase. Steps to Reproduce: Create a new Xcode project (iOS app template) Build the project in Xcode with timing summary enabled Build the same project from the command line with the following command: time xcodebuild -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator, name=iPhone 15 Pro,OS=latest' I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to improve the build times when using the xcodebuild command. Thank you in advance for your help!

Xcode 16.3 Doesn't Remember Preview Pane Width
It seems like, by default, the preview pane tries to align to 50% of the editor pane's width. I prefer to shrink the preview pane to around ~30% of the screen so I have more space for code. This used to work fine—at least until I restarted Xcode. I never understood why the setting wouldn’t persist across sessions, but fine, that was a tradeoff I was willing to live with. However, with Xcode 16.3, it seems like Xcode forgets the manually adjusted preview pane width as soon as I switch to a different file. This has definitely impacted my productivity, as I now find myself readjusting the pane size dozens of times in a single session. Am I holding it wrong? Is anyone else experiencing this? And while we’re at it—why not make this a persistent setting so everyone can tweak the width to their liking?

Xcode 26.3 not rendering Unicode/Emoji in Simulator or Canvas
I'm based in Australia, and am having the following issue. After leaving this message I received another response from someone else who is also havign the same issue, I've pasted that too. I'm quite surprised to not see it mentioned, could be local to language settings or something. Here is the issue: Folk, I am having an issue where Xcode 26.3 with the new iOS26.2+26.3.1 Simulator update installed doesn’t render Unicode characters in the Canvas or in Simulator. On Log Noise - Debugging
I came across several "errors" being reported when I run my app, however my app seems to function correctly. Xcode 16.3 Beta3: Developer Documentation Indexing does not end...resulting in Xcode CPU Usage high over long time.
macOS Version 15.3.2 (Build 24D81) After initiating via Shift/Command/0 the Developer Documentation Window, the indexing of v277 index structure is starting /Users/[name]/Library/Developer/Xcode/DocumentationCache/ ==> but unfortunately not ending! Activity Monitor reports during hours high CPU (~80%) for Xcode process, but the indexing does not stop or end. After hours it is still around 146 MB instead of about 550 MB as in previous releases. Indexing starts with 11 or more threads, but suddenly it drops to 10 threads and seems stopping, still using cpu. Also restarting Xcode does not help. Use the device picker at the bottom of the Canvas to change which device type is used for the preview. Xcode 16's EmbeddedBinaryValidationUtility taking massive amounts of memory
Hey Apple Team! We recently updated to Xcode 16 and saw a massive memory spike, which caused "Out of memory" Mac warnings in the final stages of our app's build process. We noticed that the process responsible for this is "EmbeddedBinaryValidationUtility" (see screenshot). Is there a workaround to limit its memory usage? This is causing significant anguish for our developers.

XCode 13 - No Help Book
I recently switched to Mac OS 12 and XCode 13. I did some work on my application and rebuilt it. Now there is no Help Book. I didn't change the property lists and everything looks right. When I open the Help Book the application either opens a window with a message that the content is currently unavailable or it opens a Help Book window with no content. When this second thing happens the log window shows "entering AHRegistered help Book" but it doesn't appear. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Xcode 26 Crashes on Launching App After macOS + Xcode Update (M3 Mac)
Hi everyone, After updating my Mac and Xcode to 26, I’m running into a consistent crash whenever I try to launch an app from Xcode. Environment: Mac: Apple Silicon M3 macOS: 26.0 (25A354) Xcode: 26.0.1 (17A400) Issue: When I press Run on any project (including new, empty projects), Xcode immediately crashes. This started only after updating to the latest macOS and Xcode. Crash details: The crash log shows: Application Specific Signatures: ___localError Thread 0 crashed inside -[IDEScheme _executionOperationForSchemeOperationParameters:...] from IDEFoundation/IDEKit. I also noticed background threads calling DVTPortal (developer portal requests) right before the crash. What I’ve tried so far: Cleared DerivedData, ModuleCache.noindex, and Xcode caches. Signed out/in of my Apple ID in Xcode. Recreated project schemes. Verified provisioning profiles. Reinstalled Xcode 26. Unfortunately, the crash still happens. Question: Is this a known issue with Xcode 26 on Apple Silicon (M3)? Has anyone seen a workaround? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated — I can’t currently launch apps in Xcode at all. Thanks!

tvOS icon missing layers
I have an AppleTV app which I released in 2016. I've updated it and released a new version every year without much hassle. This year, with tvOS 17.2, the layered app icon isn't working right. This is a two-layer image made with PNGs. When it's selected, it looks right and the layers move correctly: But when it's not selected, the background layer disappears: Screenshots are from the simulator but it also happens on the device. It's inconsistent; sometimes it's the front layer that disappears. Occasionally both layers work, but I can't tell why. I've spent a day trying everything. Very frustrated. The icon previews correctly in Xcode and in Parallax Viewer. The image sizes are correct: 400 x 240 for Small, 800 x 480 for Small@2x, 1280 x 768 for Large. The back layer is a non-transparent PNG. I tried adding a Large@2x set. Didn't help. Originally I had a three-layer image with no middle layer PNG. I deleted the empty middle layer, but that didn't help. All the PNG files are from GnuIMP. Same color space, even. I was using the filenames tvicon-back-s.png and tvicon-back-s@2x.png. I tried taking out the @ sign in case that was confusing Xcode. (It never has before, but I am flailing here.) Anybody have any clues? If it's an Apple bug and there's nothing I can do, I'm going to just push the release button and hope it fixes itself someday.

(from macro 'Preview')" after this line: ".previewDevice(PreviewDevice(rawValue: "iPhone 17 Pro"))" But in my Canvas I do not see the device picker. Thank you.
