Augmented Reality app unable to load the image from the camera
I have an app on the App Store for many years enabling users to post text into clouds in augmented reality. Yet last week abruptly upon installing the app on the iPhone the screen started going totally dark and a list of little comprehensible logs came up of the kind: ARSCNCompositor <0x300ad0e00>: ARSCNCompositor (0, 0) initialization failed. Matting is not set up properly. many times, then RWorldTrackingTechnique <0x106235180>: Unable to update pose [PredictorFailure] for timestamp 870.392108 ARWorldTrackingTechnique <0x106235180>: Unable to predict pose [1] for timestamp 870.392108 again several times and then: ARWorldTrackingTechnique <0x106235180>: SLAM error callback: Error Domain=Slam Error Code=7 "Non fatal error occurred due to significant drop in a IMU data" UserInfo={NSDescription=Non fatal error occurred due to significant drop in a IMU data, NSLocalizedFailureReason=SlamEngineNodeGroup Failure: IMU issue: gyro data stream verification failed [Significant data drop]. Failed on timestamp: 870.413247, Last known timestamp: 865.350198, Delta: 5.063049, System timestamp: 870.415781, Delta between system and frame: 0.002534. } and then again the pose issues several times. I hoped the new beta version would have solved the issue, but it was not the case. Unfortunately I do not know if that depends on the beta version or some other issue, given the app may be not installed on the Mac simulator.

Xcode Simulator Can't Boot
I am facing a recurring issue with Xcode iOS simulator. I want to preview a SwiftUI for iOS in Xcode, but the Simulator app fails to boot up. I receive the follow error in Xcode: Cannot Preview in this file. Simulator was shutdown during an update. I have tried the following: Deleting Xcode cache Reinstalling iOS Simulator runtimes Completely uninstalling Xcode and deleting all developer data, then reinstalling None of the above steps fix the problem. The only fix I have found is to completely reinstall MacOS 15.4.1. THIS IS TERRIBLE! I have already reinstalled MacOS 15.4.1 once to fix the issue, and I don't want to do it again. If there is another solution, please help me find it! Thank you!!

"Failed to install or launch the test runner" error
We have multiple Jenkins jobs running UI Tests on a Mac with a device attached. This works most of the time but sometimes the tests don't run and the xcreport generated has an error like: BCOVBRDCoverageUITests-Runner encountered an error in BCOVBRDCoverageUITests failed with: Failed to install or launch the test runner. (Underlying Error: Failed to create directory on device 'Brightcove's iPhone 14 Plus' (00008110-000C54912246401E) to hold runtime profiles for application with bundle ID 'com.brightcove.BCOVBRDCoverageUITests.xctrunner': (null). (Underlying Error: The system failed to get the path on the remote device for the provided domain. (Underlying Error: The connection was interrupted.))) Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to get around it? Kicking off another job after seeing this behavior works fine. The failures seem to be random or we haven't noticed a pattern yet.

Xcode 26.x Frequently Freezes During Breakpoint Debugging with Simulator
When I use Xcode 26 (0.1, 1) for debugging and hit a breakpoint, using "step over" causes the debugger to freeze at a random line of code. Clicking "Pause program execution" indicates that the line is being executed, but the breakpoint never exits, seemingly causing a freeze. The application on the simulator also becomes unresponsive. However, when I do not use breakpoints, my program runs smoothly, and debugging on a physical device does not cause any freezes. This issue only occurs with the simulator. I am using Xcode on Apple Silicon, and due to some third-party SDKs that depend on Rosetta, our app can only run on the Rosetta simulator. We did not encounter this issue when using Xcode 16.x for simulator debugging. The current situation with Xcode 26.x significantly reduces our development efficiency. What could be causing this, and is there a solution?

KeyChain Sharing with App Extensions
Hi, We are trying to use Apple Security API for KeyChain Services. The motive is to store some sensitive data in the KeyChain. Our app has Network extensions enabled which share a common app group and we want to access the data stored in the KeyChain from the extensions as well. Specifically we were exploring the SecItemAdd, SecItemCopyMatching etc family of APIs. We tried a few methods: Using the common App Group : Specifying the common app group in the "kSecAttrAccessGroup" field of the KeyChain query, allowed us to have a shared keychains for different apps (targets) in the app group, but this did not work for extensionsEnabling the KeyChain Sharing capability : We enabled the KeyChain Sharing Ability in the extensions and the app target as well, giving a common KeyChain Access group. Specifying this in the kSecAttrAccessGroup field also did not work.We tried specifying "$AppIdentifier.KeyChainSharingGroup" in the kSecAttrAccessGroup field , but this did not work as wellThe error code which we get in all these 3 cases when trying to access the Keychain from the extension is error code 25291 (errSecNotAvailable). The Documentation says this error comes when "No Trust Results are available" and printing the error in xcode using the status says "No keychain is available. You may need to restart your computer". The online Documentation says that it is possible to share keychain with extensions, but by far we are unable to do it with the methods suggested.Do we need any special entitlement for this or is there something we are missing while using these APIs?If this is possible Is there any internal/open source wrapper for Keychain APIs, that we can use?We will really appreciate help in solving this issue! Thanks!

code coverage broken 0% since Xcode 16.2
Hi, moving from Xcode 16.1 to 16.2, the code coverage percentage is still 0. The project is quite old, but it worked with 16.1. What I tried: converted the old tests to test plans in the settings, including all the various targets (for internal functionality contained in frameworks, each framework has its own test target). added the various code coverage flags to YES. added test hosts to the main targets. played with various settings found in dozens of guides. But nothing. The main app shows 0% coverage, even though the internal frameworks have their own coverage and the files within the main app are tested. On Xcode 16.1, the % appears, but from 16.2 onwards, it doesn't. Also tried with Xcode 26. Any ideas? Thanks

How can one suppress SF Symbol deprecation warnings?
Xcode 16 insists on showing deprecations of this type: Some.xib SF Symbol 'doc.on.doc' is deprecated, use 'document.on.document' instead. The problem is that the XIBs in question are set with a Deployment Target of macOS 12, where "document.on.document" actually isn't available and produces a missing image. So the warnings are wrong, as they ignore the deployment target set on the XIB. I filed a bug against this long ago and it was ignored. Having given up... does anyone know how to disable this particular warning?

On Log Noise - Debugging
I came across several "errors" being reported when I run my app, however my app seems to function correctly. I believe they fall in the category listed on this ( now locked ) thread https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/115461 However, I wanted to post the ones I found to clarify ( close to submission) just in case any of these end up being more than just log noise later. PLEASE let me know if you've come across these before and whether they impacted anything or if you can confirm they are just log noise. However, when I check in Finder, the files do exist and normally running the app works fine. It is noteworthy that this is independent of the XCode project or view I try to preview. It is a global issue on my system. Previews not even work when I create a blank new SwiftUI project in XCode. I tried deleting all caches, derived data, preview caches etc. But without any effect. I have this in XCode 16.3 as well as in 16.4 RC. On macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 on a MacBook Air M4. Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this?

Open app review crashlog .txt file in Xcode 13
Got emailed three .txt crash files. Cannot for the life of me figure out how to get Xcode to do something with them. Tried: renaming .txt to .crash Dropping onto "devices and simulators" window Dropping on to "devices and simulators > select device > View device logs" "Download debug symbols" for the archive in Xcode (says "dowloaded debug symbols" so did it) ... and many other things Xcode 13 simply refuses to respond to the drag-and-drop of the file no matter the file extension and no matter where in Xcode's various windows/tools I drop it. Has anyone done this with a crash .txt file from app review and Xcode 13?

Apple Watch may need to be unlocked to recover from previously reported preparation errors
I'm trying to run(debug) an Xcode watch app project on my watch. My phone is connected to my computer via USB cable, my watch is paired to my phone. When I open Xcode and then open "Devices and simulators", I can see my phone properly connected. But these errors show up for my watch........ Apple Watch may need to be unlocked to recover from previously reported preparation errors Ensure the device is unlocked and associated with the same local area network as this Mac. A connection to this device could not be established. Timed out while attempting to establish tunnel using negotiated network parameters. I have booted computer, phone and watch. I have turned wifi off and on, on all 3 devices. I have turned developer mode on the watch off and then back on again. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Application crashes referencing callAsyncJavaScript
When referencing WebKit’s function callAsyncJavaScript, any iOS app crashes immediately on startup when running in simulator. On device, it does not crash. The error message is: dyld[9892]: Symbol not found: _$sSo9WKWebViewC6WebKitE19callAsyncJavaScript_9arguments2inAF17completionHandlerySS_SDySSypGSo11WKFrameInfoCSgSo14WKContentWorldCys6ResultOyyps5Error_pGcSgtF Furthermore, this only happens for some simulators. With Xcode 16.3, it’s simulators 18.0 and prior. With Xcode 16.4 RC1 it includes simulators iOS 18.5 and 18.4 but works correctly on earlier versions of simulator. The reproduction path is easy. Example file attached. This used to work about 3 weeks or a month ago, which is perplexing. As a workaround I replaced the function with evaluateJavaScript which does not crash, but that is not the desired method to use for us. The attached file can reproduce it easily - just refernece this view from the default ContentView in a new project. TestWebView.swift

Warning on Archiving - ExtensionKit extension not embedded
Hello! Ive been working on a package tracking app for iOS and was looking forward to pushing it to TestFlight for some testers to use. When I go to archive the package, I get a warning about the "...TrackerIntents.appex is an ExtensionKit extension and must be embedded in the parent app bundle's Extensions directory, but is embedded in the parent app bundle's Tracker.app/Extensions directory". The extension is for siri integration with shortcuts. I have done quite a lot of things to try and diagnose this but cant seem to get passed this warning. I know it's a warning but would rather it not exist. Ideally I would think its a matter of "moving" the items but in the navigation area, I dont see an extensions area. The main app target has it in the dependencies along with the EmbedExtensionKit Extensions in the Build Phases. Any ideas or configs I can try? I can provide more information if needed. This is on the latest Xcode version 26.0.1 for iOS 26. Thank you.

Thanks in advance! -[RTIInputSystemClient remoteTextInputSessionWithID:performInputOperation:] perform input operation requires a valid sessionID. inputModality = Keyboard, inputOperation = , customInfoType = UIEmojiSearchOperations AVAudioSession_iOS.mm:2,223 Server returned an error from destroySession:. Previews globally fail with CouldNotLoadInputObjectFile error
Whenever I try to use SwiftUI previews, the preview fails with a CouldNotLoadInputObjectFile error like this: == PREVIEW UPDATE ERROR: FailedToLaunchAppError: Failed to launch com.my-company.Test | ================================== | | [Remote] CouldNotLoadInputObjectFile: Could not load object file during preview: /Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Test-dzmdthicvcbuwkawncuacsomcdcd/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Test.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/Test.build/Objects-normal/arm64/TestApp.o | | | | path: /Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Test-dzmdthicvcbuwkawncuacsomcdcd/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Test.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/Test.build/Objects-normal/arm64/TestApp.o | | | | ================================== | | | [Remote] XOJITError | | | | | | XOJITError: '/Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Test-dzmdthicvcbuwkawncuacsomcdcd/Build/Intermediates.noindex/Test.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/Test.build/Objects-normal/arm64/TestApp.o': No such file or directory It appears that the preview process cannot find the compiled .o files.

Thank you.
