original transaction id not found
Hi everyone, I’ve been receiving App Store Server Notifications (webhooks) normally for a specific transaction. Everything was working fine — I could use the original_transaction_id to query transaction history, and transaction_id to look up specific transactions. However, starting recently, all API calls for that transaction (both Get Transaction Info and Get Transaction History) now return not found. • The webhooks used to arrive normally for this transaction. • I am sure I’m querying the correct environment (production vs sandbox). • The IDs I’m using are exactly the ones from the last webhook payload. • I haven’t changed my integration code. My questions: 1. Under what conditions does Apple’s API return “not found” for original_transaction_id that previously worked? 2. Can Apple actually purge transaction records (in production)? 3. Could this happen due to refunds, revocations, or other account actions? 4. Is this expected behavior, or should I file a DTS (Technical Support Incident)? Any insight would be appreciated. Unknown Error when Trying to Add New Offer Codes
Hi there! Whenever I try to add a new Offer Code for my app's subscription, I get an unknown error. When I get to the last step of the "Create Offer for Codes" flow, I get an error that error reads "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have been getting this same error for over a week now, so any help figuring out how to add new offer codes would be greatly appreciated!

Payment screen not loading for app subscription
Hi All i have developed an app but when I go to download the paywall appears as it’s subscription only but it shows no prices for the subscription I get an endless swirl. 交易无法结束 (Transactions Unable to Finish)
有一个用户反馈7月8日充值了3笔后一直无法发起新的购买,总是提示已经购买。我们查了是之前的交易无法结束,我们使用StoreKit2,已经调用await transaction.finish()成功结束交易了,但是每次发起新支付时,Transaction.unfinished还会返回之前已完成的交易信息。 是设备或AppleID的问题么?用户尝试了重启设备、重新登录AppleID都没用。有什么办法解决呢? 用户无法结束的苹果交易id为:200002703899379、200002703900716、200002703902023。 A user reported that after making 3 purchases on July 8th, they have been unable to initiate new purchases, always receiving a prompt that the item has already been purchased. Upon investigation, we found that the previous transactions couldn't be finalized. We use StoreKit2 and have successfully called await transaction.finish() to end the transactions. However, every time a new payment is initiated, Transaction.unfinished still returns information about the previously completed transactions. Could this be an issue with the device or Apple ID? The user has tried restarting the device and re-logging into their Apple ID, but these attempts were unsuccessful. Is there any way to resolve this? The Apple transaction IDs that the user is unable to finalize are: 200002703899379, 200002703900716, 200002703902023.

App Store Server Notifications and API Client - Toggling Sandbox vs Production Environment
The documentation mentions the following: Verify your receipt first with the production URL; then verify with the sandbox URL if you receive a 21007 status code. This approach ensures you don’t have to switch between URLs while your app is in testing, in review by App Review, or live in the App Store. This way, you can use one server environment to handle both Sandbox and Production environments. It is necessary to pass App Review. However, I'm not manually hitting these URLs - I'm using Apple's libraries. Specifically, the environment is used in SignedDataVerifier and AppStoreServerAPIClient. (I can't link to these because, for some reason, the domain apple.github.io is not allowed. The documentation for these is only found there. You can find it quickly by searching these terms and the domain.) So for SignedDataVerifier is it as simple as wrapping my code in a try/catch and checking that the error's status code is 21007? I'm unsure about this because if you scroll to the bottom of the linked source code file, you can see the enumeration VerificationStatus, but it's unclear if this member has a value of 21007. The source code for AppStoreServerAPIClient only says that it throws an APIException if a response could not be processed, so I'm not too sure about how to handle this one.

SubscriptionStoreView not showing free trial offer in release build
I'm using the SwiftUI view SubscriptionStoreView (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/subscriptionstoreview/) with a subscription group that has 2 subscriptions. I set up a free trial offer in App Store Connect (https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/set-up-introductory-offers-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/). The storekit file in Xcode is synced with the App Store. In debug build, this works and appears correctly, showing the free trial offer: But in release build, the free trial offer is not shown: The code is very simple: SubscriptionStoreView(productIDs: [ "[PRODUCT ID FOR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION]", "[PRODUCT ID FOR BIMONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION]" ]) Does anyone have a solution? App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

New App with Subscription Review
We are launching a new app with a subscription in-app purchase (IAP). The Status of the IAP is "Waiting for Review". We want to submit the app to app for review, but the section to select an IAP with the app is not appearing. According to online sources, if we submit a new app for review, without selecting the IAP that goes with it, then the app may be released in the App Store without users being able to purchase the IAP. This actually happened to us years ago and I can't remember how we got around it, but it was painful. It seems strange that Apple would allow this problem to persist for years. Why not just hire an intern to fix it? Maybe because they are too busy running around in circles at the new spaceship headquarters. Regardless, our IAP has been sitting in "Waiting for Review" status for a while now and I'm concerned it may never be approved. Any advice would be appreciated.

'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

Help: IAP Works in Xcode but Not in TestFlight – Cannot Link IAP to Version for Review
Hi everyone, I've been going back and forth with Apple’s review team for over 10 days now, and I'm still unable to get my first In-App Purchase (IAP) working correctly. Here's what’s happening: ✅ The IAP works perfectly when I build and run directly from Xcode. ❌ However, when I test the app via TestFlight, tapping the purchase buttons does nothing—the IAP sheet doesn't appear. Key issue (I think): I believe the IAP hasn't been submitted properly for review. On App Store Connect, I cannot select the IAP under the “In-App Purchases” section of the version submission page. It's grayed out or not listed at all. As a result, Apple keeps rejecting my binary due to the IAP not being included in the review. What I’ve already done: Created the IAP (non-consumable) Set pricing and cleared all errors Checked Bundle ID, Product ID, and entitlements Added In-App Purchase capability to the app target Uploaded the binary via Xcode Waited multiple times for status updates My questions: What’s the correct process to link the IAP to a specific app version if it doesn't show up in the version page? Could this be an issue with App Store Connect metadata or approval timing, or am I missing something in Xcode/build settings? Is there any way to force re-sync the IAP so it appears when submitting the build? Has anyone resolved a similar issue recently? This process has been incredibly frustrating, and the feedback from the review team so far has been very vague. I would really appreciate any detailed insight or steps to ensure the IAP is submitted correctly and works on TestFlight. Thank you in advance!

Calling AppTransaction in a SpriteKit app
Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here. I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController. I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods. How do I call AppTransaction.shared (and fetch originalAppVersion) in a SpriteKit based app?

StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Advanced Commerce API returns 404 not found
We got access into Advanced Commerce API and trying out the server APIs. I was trying out the Migrate a Subscription to Advanced Commerce API but the API was just simply returning not found to me with a generic error code 4040000 (this is undocumented in the API doc). However, when I try to use SubscriptionStoreView, I receive the following error: Subscription store should include at least one auto-renewable subscription. AppTransactionId support in Get Transaction Info endpoint — documentation change and actual behavior?
Hello, I have a question regarding the App Store Server API's getTransactionInfo endpoint. Previously, the official documentation for getTransactionInfo mentioned that: “This endpoint doesn’t support an app transaction. To get information about an app transaction, decode the signed app transaction received from the device.” However, as of June 2025, I can no longer find this sentence in the current documentation (link). Now, the docs state that all in-app purchase transaction IDs are supported (consumable, non-consumable, auto-renewable subscriptions, etc.). But in practice, when I call getTransactionInfo with an AppTransactionId (extracted from a signed App Transaction JWS), I receive this error: apiErrorCode: 4000048 “Invalid request. App transactions aren’t supported by this endpoint.” Is this endpoint supposed to support AppTransactionId now, or is the restriction still in place (but not mentioned in the docs)? Is there any official statement about when this restriction was added/removed? Can you clarify if only in-app purchase transaction IDs (and not AppTransactionIds) are supported for this endpoint, or has the policy changed recently? Any clarification or historical context would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I would like to know about the behavior of an App Transaction in the event of a refund. If a user receives a refund for the app itself (not an in-app purchase), how can changes to the AppTransaction be detected? Does the App Store Server Notification v2 provide notifications for app-level refunds, or are such events only visible by decoding the latest App Transaction JWS on the device? Is there any way to receive app-level refund information server-side, or must we always rely on the device to provide the updated signed app transaction? Any clarification on this refund flow and notification coverage would also be appreciated. Thank you!

StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions and retrieval
FB19377002 I am looking to improve and review my subscription purchase handling logic, for the best user experience. Considering that StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions (in case user is offline), is it really necessary to persist "unlocked status" in UserDefaults or SwiftData Model or AppStorage? Are there significant delays when reading Transaction.currentEntitlements from locally stored cache, versus reading it from UserDefaults; or, as in the latest SKDemo example, even reading it from stored in SwiftData ? https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/706450 I only have subscriptions ( I don't have noncosumable or consubale products). Do I still need to persist subscription status?

Upon investigation, we found that the previous transactions couldn't be finalized. We use StoreKit2 and have successfully called await transaction.finish() to end the transactions. However, every time a new payment is initiated, Transaction.unfinished still returns information about the previously completed transactions. Could this be an issue with the device or Apple ID? The user has tried restarting the device and re-logging into their Apple ID, but these attempts were unsuccessful. Is there any way to resolve this? The Apple transaction IDs that the user is unable to finalize are: 200002703899379, 200002703900716, 200002703902023.

App Store Server Notifications and API Client - Toggling Sandbox vs Production Environment
The documentation mentions the following: Verify your receipt first with the production URL; then verify with the sandbox URL if you receive a 21007 status code. This approach ensures you don’t have to switch between URLs while your app is in testing, in review by App Review, or live in the App Store. This way, you can use one server environment to handle both Sandbox and Production environments. It is necessary to pass App Review. However, I'm not manually hitting these URLs - I'm using Apple's libraries. Specifically, the environment is used in SignedDataVerifier and AppStoreServerAPIClient. (I can't link to these because, for some reason, the domain apple.github.io is not allowed. The documentation for these is only found there. You can find it quickly by searching these terms and the domain.) So for SignedDataVerifier is it as simple as wrapping my code in a try/catch and checking that the error's status code is 21007? I'm unsure about this because if you scroll to the bottom of the linked source code file, you can see the enumeration VerificationStatus, but it's unclear if this member has a value of 21007. The source code for AppStoreServerAPIClient only says that it throws an APIException if a response could not be processed, so I'm not too sure about how to handle this one.

SubscriptionStoreView not showing free trial offer in release build
I'm using the SwiftUI view SubscriptionStoreView (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/subscriptionstoreview/) with a subscription group that has 2 subscriptions. I set up a free trial offer in App Store Connect (https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/set-up-introductory-offers-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/). The storekit file in Xcode is synced with the App Store. In debug build, this works and appears correctly, showing the free trial offer: But in release build, the free trial offer is not shown: The code is very simple: SubscriptionStoreView(productIDs: [ "[PRODUCT ID FOR ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION]", "[PRODUCT ID FOR BIMONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION]" ]) Does anyone have a solution? App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? If a proxy is the best method, which parameter in the responseBodyV2 payload should we use to route the notification? How can we differentiate between our various dev environments? Is it possible to add custom properties to the App Store Server Notification V2 body to facilitate routing? Any advice or best practices you've implemented would be greatly appreciated.

New App with Subscription Review
We are launching a new app with a subscription in-app purchase (IAP). The Status of the IAP is "Waiting for Review". We want to submit the app to app for review, but the section to select an IAP with the app is not appearing. According to online sources, if we submit a new app for review, without selecting the IAP that goes with it, then the app may be released in the App Store without users being able to purchase the IAP. This actually happened to us years ago and I can't remember how we got around it, but it was painful. It seems strange that Apple would allow this problem to persist for years. Why not just hire an intern to fix it? Maybe because they are too busy running around in circles at the new spaceship headquarters. Regardless, our IAP has been sitting in "Waiting for Review" status for a while now and I'm concerned it may never be approved. Any advice would be appreciated.

'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

Help: IAP Works in Xcode but Not in TestFlight – Cannot Link IAP to Version for Review
Hi everyone, I've been going back and forth with Apple’s review team for over 10 days now, and I'm still unable to get my first In-App Purchase (IAP) working correctly. Here's what’s happening: ✅ The IAP works perfectly when I build and run directly from Xcode. ❌ However, when I test the app via TestFlight, tapping the purchase buttons does nothing—the IAP sheet doesn't appear. Key issue (I think): I believe the IAP hasn't been submitted properly for review. On App Store Connect, I cannot select the IAP under the “In-App Purchases” section of the version submission page. It's grayed out or not listed at all. As a result, Apple keeps rejecting my binary due to the IAP not being included in the review. What I’ve already done: Created the IAP (non-consumable) Set pricing and cleared all errors Checked Bundle ID, Product ID, and entitlements Added In-App Purchase capability to the app target Uploaded the binary via Xcode Waited multiple times for status updates My questions: What’s the correct process to link the IAP to a specific app version if it doesn't show up in the version page? Could this be an issue with App Store Connect metadata or approval timing, or am I missing something in Xcode/build settings? Is there any way to force re-sync the IAP so it appears when submitting the build? Has anyone resolved a similar issue recently? This process has been incredibly frustrating, and the feedback from the review team so far has been very vague. I would really appreciate any detailed insight or steps to ensure the IAP is submitted correctly and works on TestFlight. Thank you in advance!

Calling AppTransaction in a SpriteKit app
Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here. I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController. I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods. How do I call AppTransaction.shared (and fetch originalAppVersion) in a SpriteKit based app?

StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Advanced Commerce API returns 404 not found
We got access into Advanced Commerce API and trying out the server APIs. I was trying out the Migrate a Subscription to Advanced Commerce API but the API was just simply returning not found to me with a generic error code 4040000 (this is undocumented in the API doc). AppTransactionId support in Get Transaction Info endpoint — documentation change and actual behavior?
Hello, I have a question regarding the App Store Server API's getTransactionInfo endpoint. Previously, the official documentation for getTransactionInfo mentioned that: “This endpoint doesn’t support an app transaction. To get information about an app transaction, decode the signed app transaction received from the device.” However, as of June 2025, I can no longer find this sentence in the current documentation (link). Now, the docs state that all in-app purchase transaction IDs are supported (consumable, non-consumable, auto-renewable subscriptions, etc.). But in practice, when I call getTransactionInfo with an AppTransactionId (extracted from a signed App Transaction JWS), I receive this error: apiErrorCode: 4000048 “Invalid request. App transactions aren’t supported by this endpoint.” Is this endpoint supposed to support AppTransactionId now, or is the restriction still in place (but not mentioned in the docs)? Is there any official statement about when this restriction was added/removed? Can you clarify if only in-app purchase transaction IDs (and not AppTransactionIds) are supported for this endpoint, or has the policy changed recently? Any clarification or historical context would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, I would like to know about the behavior of an App Transaction in the event of a refund. If a user receives a refund for the app itself (not an in-app purchase), how can changes to the AppTransaction be detected? Does the App Store Server Notification v2 provide notifications for app-level refunds, or are such events only visible by decoding the latest App Transaction JWS on the device? Is there any way to receive app-level refund information server-side, or must we always rely on the device to provide the updated signed app transaction? StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions and retrieval
FB19377002 I am looking to improve and review my subscription purchase handling logic, for the best user experience. Considering that StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions (in case user is offline), is it really necessary to persist "unlocked status" in UserDefaults or SwiftData Model or AppStorage? Are there significant delays when reading Transaction.currentEntitlements from locally stored cache, versus reading it from UserDefaults; or, as in the latest SKDemo example, even reading it from stored in SwiftData ? https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/706450 I only have subscriptions ( I don't have noncosumable or consubale products). Do I still need to persist subscription status?
