Suggest changes to the guidelines

The App Review Guidelines are regularly updated to meet the needs of both customers and developers. If you have an idea for how the App Review Guidelines could be clearer or more complete, you can suggest a guideline change.

  1. Go to Suggest a guideline change.

  2. Select the guidelines you have feedback on. You can submit feedback on up to five guidelines.

  3. Describe your suggested changes or clarifications, as well as specific reasons to support these changes.

  4. App Review will consider the suggestion for potential future updates and may contact you for more information.

Note: You may also use this form to suggest changes to Notarization Review Guidelines.

What to include in your suggestion

Do

  • Cite the specific guideline text you're suggesting a change for.

  • Explain how the current guideline text is unclear or incomplete, and what change would address it.

  • Include the Apple IDs of apps you've submitted in App Store Connect that would be impacted by this change.

Don't

Example (Complete)

"I understand that App Review typically uses demo accounts to complete a full review of my app. However, due to legal and security obligations, I'm unable to provide demo accounts that can be used in review. Can you add options to the guidelines for other ways I can provide full access for review? For example, I could implement a demonstration mode that shows off all of my apps features."

Example (Incomplete)

"This guideline doesn't make sense. Change it."
