Unity (IL2CPP) iOS Build: "_placeGeoAnchor" Undefined Symbol for Architecture arm64
Hi all, I’m running into a persistent linker error when building my Unity 6 project (IL2CPP, iOS target) that calls a Swift method via an Objective-C++ wrapper. Despite following all known steps, I keep getting: Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: "_placeGeoAnchor", referenced from: _GeoAnchorTrigger_placeGeoAnchor in libGameAssembly.a ... ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64 I’m trying to place a persistent AR anchor at real-world GPS coordinates (so that the same asset can appear at the same location for a returning user). Since I’m targeting iOS, I can’t use Google’s geospatial anchors (but I sooo wish I could--please apple I beg of you stop being so selfish lol). I've already done these things: Swift file is added to Unity-iPhone target. .mm and .h files are in Unity-iPhone target under Compile Sources. Bridging header is set to Unity-iPhone-Bridging-Header.h. Generated header name is correct (GeoTest-Swift.h). Build Active Architecture Only set to No. Function has attribute((visibility("default"))). Unity project uses IL2CPP scripting backend. Yet I'm still getting the same linker error — it appears Unity (via IL2CPP) references the function, but Xcode doesn't link it. It’s something small that’s being missed with how IL2CPP links native symbols? Or maybe I need to explicitly include something in Link Binary With Libraries? I’ve verified symbol visibility and targets repeatedly. I’ve built AR features in Unity before (for Quest), but this is my first time trying to bridge C# → Objective-C++ → Swift in this way for a geolocation-based AR anchor for an iphone. I'm going crazy, I’ve been stuck on this for 12+ hours now, so any insight or nudge would be deeply appreciated. SPECS: Macbook Pro M4 Pro--Sequoia 15.4 Unity 6000.0.45f1 IPhone 11 iOS 18.4 Xcode 15

Please try again later.", "suppressDismissal" : false } ], "hasError" : true }

I got charged the annual developer renewal fee twice, then my account got suspended
So I got charged the annual developer fee on December 2024, and then again this February 2025. Worse, a few days after getting charged twice, I received an email from Apple saying my developer account subscription has been suspended due to failure in paying the annual fee. I already submitted a support ticket to Apple, but I haven't gotten a response yet. Is there something else I can do? Would appreaciate any help. Thanks!

WTF Apple News Review Wait Times?
I work at a well-established university with a business journal that is over 25 years old. We have been waiting now for almost four months to have our Apple News account reviewed. In what world is this OK? No ability to communicate with anyone or have any updates except to log in once a month to see the 'under review' message still there. Seriously?

Developer membership renew button not showing
My membership got expired and I don't see the renew button anywhere on the website or the developer app. In my case, I have changed the developer account email address 6 months ago and the new email was not mapped for renewal that's why the renew button was not showing (I guess). I tried to reach to Apple support, the phone support wasn't available so I wrote couple of emails. After 48 hrs they have sent an email saying the new email address has been mapped but still I see no renew button. I added required funds and disabled the auto-renew option yet no hope. it's been four days still no replay from Apple. I was constantly checking for the phone support. Today I saw phone support was available so I immediately requested the call and explained the support staff about my situation and he fixed within a minute. so guys if you are facing similar issue and see no solution even after contacting multiple times via emails, wait for phone support and request a call. This is the fastest and efficient way to resolve this "renew" issue. add the required funds so that the subscription payment will be done instantly. Have a good day y'll

devicectl: clarify username requirement for "certain" domains
Hi there, When using devicectl to manage files: It's unclear for which domains the username should be provided It's unclear how to determine the username Listing files USAGE: devicectl device info files [<options>] --device <uuid|ecid|serial_number|udid|name|dns_name> --domain-type <domain-type> FILE OPTIONS: --username <username> The username of the user we should target. Only relevant for certain domains. --domain-type <domain-type> The file service domain. Valid values are: temporary, appDataContainer, appGroupDataContainer, systemCrashLogs. You must specify a valid domain and identifier pair. Certain domains must be accompanied by an identifier that provides additional context. For example, if the domain is an app data container, the identifier is the bundle ID of the app. For temporary directories, the identifier is a unique client-provided string which is used to get your own space, separate from those of other clients. --domain-identifier <domain-identifier> A unique string used to provide additional context to the domain. --username The username of the user we should target. Only relevant for certain domains. In the domains, the username requirements are not mentioned. Copying files USAGE: devicectl device copy to --device <uuid|ecid|serial_number|udid|name|dns_name> --source <source> [--destination <destination>] [--user <user>] --domain-type <domain-type> [--domain-identifier <domain-identifier>] [--remove-existing-content <remove-existing-content>] [--verbose] [--quiet] [--timeout <seconds>] [--json-output <path>] [--log-output <path>] DEVICE OPTIONS: -d, --device <uuid|ecid|serial_number|udid|name|dns_name> The identifier, ECID, serial number, UDID, user-provided name, or DNS name of the device. FILE OPTIONS: --source <source> The item which should be copied. --destination <destination> The location to which the item should be copied. -u, --user <user> The name of the user we should target. --domain-identifier <domain-identifier> A unique string used to provide additional context to the -u, --user The name of the user we should target. Only relevant for certain domains. The "certain domains" are not specified. user vs username The list files command takes: --username <username> The username of the user we should target. Only relevant for certain domains The copy command takes: -u, --user <user> The name of the user we should target. Only relevant for certain domains. Is there a difference between username and user? How do we figure out the user or username? From https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/749649 I learned that about the "mobile" value, but why, and how? It would help if these arguments could be explained in more detail.

Hi, I am able to build my iOS app successfully, developed in objective-C with iOS 17.5 SDK and Xcode 15. Due to requirement of Appstore we are trying to build with iOS 18 SDK and Xcode 16. When building getting error in LAEnvironmentState.h file: a) "Property requires field to be named" b) "Expected member name or ';' after declaration specifiers" Same app when opening with Xcode 15 gets build without any issue. Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

Which extension use
Hi, I want to block incoming calls using my backend server, like the unwantend sms using message filter extension. I saw that Call Directory Extension can block numbers, but you need update the list, is not in real time. I was reading the Live Caller ID Look up extension documentation, and it seems that with this extension is possible send the number to backend and retrieve a value to know if the call should be block or not. Am I right? Or is not possible this feature with this extension? Thanks!

Developing First Ever IOS App - Have Very Specific Questions to Unblock my Testing
I have developed an app that I had been testing on the hardware device with the developer profile signed builds, I had setup a CloudKit container in development mode and also had tested with Production mode and they are working as expected. I have also tested storekit auto renewal subscriptions using Storekit Config file and all of that is working on the hardware device with the developer profile signed builds. Now comes the Fun Part, I want to use the Distribution profile to test the app for production readiness, I had created a distribution profile and had set that up in the Release under target of the app in Xcode, I have also created sandbox tester account (which is showing inactive even after 7 days - though I am also logged in with this sandbox tester account on a hardware device and under developer setting it shows as a sandbox tester account) All the subscriptions are showing Ready to Submit in the App Store Connect. I need help understand this whole flow, how to ensure I can test CloudKit and storekit for production readiness and then publish my app for the review. Thank you.

Broken Xcode 16 autocomplete using Tab
I've recently upgraded to Xcode 16 and noticed a change in how the Tab key functions during autocomplete. (not-replied-but-closed post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255762888) Previously, pressing Tab would extend the typed text up to the first point of choice. For example, we have two classes: NSViewController and NSViewCoordinator BEFORE, typing: "NSV" + Tab used to complete to NSViewCo Now, in Xcode 16, pressing Tab selects the first suggestion by default, instead of completing up to the choice point. That is very inconvenient because very often I want just see all possible cases with some prefix...without need of typing all prefix manually. Seems there is no way to restore the previous behavior and that looks very very sad. I have reverse engineered Xcode 16...and what I get? They just install new CodeCompletion handler instead of old one without any chance to configure this behaviour by settings or UserDefaults =\ Hope this thread would raise votes and attract Xcode devs here

Swift, kevent, and wth?!?!?
I have this code: var eventIn = kevent(ident: UInt(self.socket), filter: Int16(EVFILT_WRITE), flags: UInt16((EV_ADD | EV_ENABLE)), fflags: 0, data: 0, udata: nil ) I looked at it and thought why do I have those extra parentheses? So I changed it to var eventIn = kevent(ident: UInt(self.socket), filter: Int16(EVFILT_WRITE), flags: UInt16(EV_ADD | EV_ENABLE), // changed line! fflags: 0, data: 0, udata: nil ) and then kevent gave me EBADF. Does this make sense to anyone?

Call Tracking with CallKit Works in Debug Mode but Not in Release (TestFlight) – iOS
I am working on an iOS app using Flutter that tracks outgoing calls using CallKit. The call tracking functionality works perfectly in Debug mode but does not work when the app is published to TestFlight. I have already added Background Modes (voip, audio, processing, fetch) in Info.plist. I have added CallKit.framework in Xcode under Link Binary With Libraries (set to Optional). <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>aps-environment</key> <string>production</string> </dict> </plist> These are the necessary permission which I used in info.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>BGTaskSchedulerPermittedIdentifiers</key> <array> <string>com.agent.mygenie</string> </array> <key>CADisableMinimumFrameDurationOnPhone</key> <true/> <key>CFBundleDevelopmentRegion</key> <string>$(DEVELOPMENT_LANGUAGE)</string> <key>CFBundleDisplayName</key> <string>MyGenie</string> <key>CFBundleDocumentTypes</key> <array/> <key>CFBundleExecutable</key> <string>$(EXECUTABLE_NAME)</string> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>$(PRODUCT_BUNDLE_IDENTIFIER)</string> <key>CFBundleInfoDictionaryVersion</key> <string>6.0</string> <key>CFBundleName</key> <string>mygenie</string> <key>CFBundlePackageType</key> <string>APPL</string> <key>CFBundleShortVersionString</key> <string>$(FLUTTER_BUILD_NAME)</string> <key>CFBundleSignature</key> <string>????</string> <key>CFBundleVersion</key> <string>$(FLUTTER_BUILD_NUMBER)</string> <key>LSRequiresIPhoneOS</key> <true/> <key>NSCallKitUsageDescription</key> <string>This app needs access to CallKit for call handling</string> <key>NSContactsUsageDescription</key> <string>This app needs access to your contacts for calls</string> <key>NSMicrophoneUsageDescription</key> <string>This app needs access to microphone for calls</string> <key>NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription</key> <string>This app needs access to photo library for profile picture updation</string> <key>UIApplicationSupportsIndirectInputEvents</key> <true/> <key>UIBackgroundModes</key> <array> <string>voip</string> <string>processing</string> <string>fetch</string> <string>audio</string> </array> <key>UILaunchStoryboardName</key> <string>LaunchScreen</string> <key>UIMainStoryboardFile</key> <string>Main</string> <key>UISupportedInterfaceOrientations</key> <array> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string> </array> <key>UISupportedInterfaceOrientations~ipad</key> <array> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft</string> <string>UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight</string> </array> [code.txt](https://developer.apple.com/forums/content/attachment/0a327dbd-652e-41d5-8811-c462d09e0567) </dict> </plist> And below is the file are AppDelegate.swift, call_tracking_mixin.dart, & main_call.dart file for full knowledge
