Custom font not support in Xcode 16.3
I'm experiencing an issue with a custom font not loading properly in Xcode 16.3. The font files are included in the bundle, listed in Info.plist, and verified for correct names using UIFont.familyNames, but they still don't appear at runtime. Has anyone else run into this with Xcode 16.3? Could this be related to recent changes in asset packaging or font catalogs?

Xcode26 beta.2 build error
I am writing to report multiple issues encountered after updating to Xcode 26 Beta, which have significantly impacted my project's compilation and functionality. My project can run normally in Xcode16.3 version, Below are the specific problems, along with the steps I took to address them and the subsequent errors that arose: Symbol Not Found Error for _NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb After updating to Xcode 26 Beta, my project failed to build with the error: "Symbol not found: _NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb." To resolve this, I removed the MobileCoreServices framework from the Build Settings, as it appeared to be related. However, this led to a new error, indicating that this change introduced further complications. Clang++ Error: No Such File or Directory 'OpenGLES' Following the resolution of the first issue, I encountered a new error: "iOS clang++: error: no such file or directory: 'OpenGLES'." To address this, I added the OpenGLES.framework to the Build Phases. While this resolved the clang++ error, it triggered additional errors, suggesting that the underlying issue persists or new dependencies are conflicting. Recurring XIB File Compilation Errors My project uses XIB files, and every time I attempt to compile and run, Xcode reports errors related to different XIB files. Notably, when I open the reported XIB file, no errors are displayed within the Interface Builder. After saving or inspecting the file, the compilation error temporarily disappears, only for another XIB file to trigger the same issue in the next build. This creates a repetitive cycle. I have confirmed this is not a caching issue, as I clean the build cache (Product > Clean Build Folder) before each run. If I skip cleaning the cache, the OpenGLES-related error (Issue 2) reappears, indicating potential interactions between these problems. These issues have made development with Xcode 26 Beta extremely challenging, as each attempted fix seems to introduce new errors, and the XIB issue creates a persistent loop. My setup includes: Xcode Version: 26.0 beta 2 (17A5241o) macOS Version:15.4.1 (24E263)

"package" documents on iCloud Drive don't work in Simulator
Running macOS 15.4.1, Simulator 16.0 (1042.1), various iOS devices (iPhone 16, iPad 13" M4) I log into iCloud and enable iCloud Drive. Running the Files app, I noticed that I can click on "flat" documents (PDF, JPEG, etc) and they work. However, when I click on "package" documents (e.g. represented by a directory behind the scenes), I get a normal download progress, but then an alert "The operation could not be completed. No such file or directory". This seems to happen with all package documents, e.g. Keynote documents or Reality Composer objcap documents. It does not happen on actual devices logged into the same account. I've tried completely deleting and rebuilding the simulator instances in question, with no success.

Missing crash reports
We can see from App Store Connect under TestFlight tab on the overview that our build got X number of crashes. Problem is that these crashes are not found in Crash feedback tab or not from Xcode Organizer. This problem has been ongoing for us in multiple different app builds now. Is there any suggestions what might cause this problem and how to start solving this? I'm pretty confident that these crashes happen in our network extension (NEPacketTunnelProvider). Note - We have a lot of TestFlight users and to start asking them all separately manual logs from phone might not help us here. (Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data). Also these crashes have not been reported to us by the users. I suspect that the reason is that the extension kicks automatically back up since we are running VPN there with on demand rules. Meaning that the users might not be able to notice the service crash or shut down because of the automatic restart. Thanks

Xcode Test Pane for TDD and Unit Tests?
At the last place I worked it took roughly 5 minutes to do an application build. Which in turn made doing any sort of TDD or ever just regular Unit Tests extremely painful to do as the cycle time was simply too long. But that got me thinking. In recent versions of Xcode, Apple added Previews for SwiftUI Views that basically showed code changes to the View in real time. And Previews were made possible by extremely targeted compilation of the view in question. So... what if instead of a Preview pane in the Xcode IDE there was a Test pane the could be displayed such that Tests for a piece of code could be created and run almost immediately? Perhaps by adding a #Testing section to your code #Testing(MyService.self) // Define the entity to be tested. If you could drop the turnaround time AND provide a test playground for service level code that could speed development of such code greatly... and encourage interactive test development at the same time. What do you think?

Stale Issues, refreshAllObjects() is not working
Hi Experts, Could you please help. Issue at high level: After Editing a View contains a Table entries, saved and hit back button to display View, Table entries are duplicated or displaying previous and current entries together. Here is my Issue in detailed. List view display, clicking on any row, would navigate to DisplayView of a record. I am displaying a table in DisplayView. DisplayView contains "row" as parameter, and it must be initialized in "init" method, where I use row.key and fetch another table (say ColorTab) using Color.Key. DisplayView contains "NavigationView", with Edit button. it displays fetched Colors. example Red and Green. when user click on Edit, it takes to EditPage. user can remove / add colors. Once user made changes, saved and hit back button. Table entries are duplicated or showing previous and current entries. Options tried, a) init method is only triggering 1st time, not triggering when back button clicked, I failed to use FetchRequest outside of init method, I tried on OnAppear too. i didn't trigger. b) Failed to use FetchRequest inside of var Body too. c) tried using viewContext.refreshAllObjects() .. it is not refreshing the table. Could you please help if there is solution for the issue. Thanks, Bhanu

Xcode keeps touching readonly xcschemes on launch
We use Perforce for version control, which means that all files not checked out are readonly. Lately Xcode has started displaying a fixed sequence of these dialogs on every launch: This means it is trying to modify some readonly file within the xcodeproj. Out of our 60 subprojects this always comes up for the exact same 6. I have so far uncovered the following: It is really trying to modify the shared xcschemes and not the pbxproj. (If I set those to writable the dialog does not appear.) Actually the files are not changed if I click "Unlock", but the com.apple.provenance xattr flag is removed from them. These xcschemes are of version 1.7 while all others are 1.3. If I change them to 1.3 Xcode still wants to modify them at launch and sets them back to 1.7. This is very annoying. What is it about these xcschemes that upsets Xcode, and how can I stop these dialogs from appearing? (One workaround is to keep them checked out dumped to a changelist that I never submit, but that is error prone when I do need to make changes to those, and also is not really possible when jumping between old states of the repo to find the change that broke something.)

Unity (IL2CPP) iOS Build: "_placeGeoAnchor" Undefined Symbol for Architecture arm64
Hi all, I’m running into a persistent linker error when building my Unity 6 project (IL2CPP, iOS target) that calls a Swift method via an Objective-C++ wrapper. Despite following all known steps, I keep getting: Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: "_placeGeoAnchor", referenced from: _GeoAnchorTrigger_placeGeoAnchor in libGameAssembly.a ... ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64 I’m trying to place a persistent AR anchor at real-world GPS coordinates (so that the same asset can appear at the same location for a returning user). Since I’m targeting iOS, I can’t use Google’s geospatial anchors (but I sooo wish I could--please apple I beg of you stop being so selfish lol). I've already done these things: Swift file is added to Unity-iPhone target. .mm and .h files are in Unity-iPhone target under Compile Sources. Bridging header is set to Unity-iPhone-Bridging-Header.h. Generated header name is correct (GeoTest-Swift.h). Build Active Architecture Only set to No. Function has attribute((visibility("default"))). Unity project uses IL2CPP scripting backend. Yet I'm still getting the same linker error — it appears Unity (via IL2CPP) references the function, but Xcode doesn't link it. It’s something small that’s being missed with how IL2CPP links native symbols? Or maybe I need to explicitly include something in Link Binary With Libraries? I’ve verified symbol visibility and targets repeatedly. I’ve built AR features in Unity before (for Quest), but this is my first time trying to bridge C# → Objective-C++ → Swift in this way for a geolocation-based AR anchor for an iphone. I'm going crazy, I’ve been stuck on this for 12+ hours now, so any insight or nudge would be deeply appreciated. SPECS: Macbook Pro M4 Pro--Sequoia 15.4 Unity 6000.0.45f1 IPhone 11 iOS 18.4 Xcode 15

Build Libraries For Distribution flag usage
I want to build an ios .xcframework (for external delivery) and .framework(for internal debugging) in order to package some code to a customer for incorporation into their app. My framework has a dependency upon RealmSwift, which I've added using SPM. There is a warning saying Module RealmSwift was not compiled with library evolution support. And when building SwiftVerifyEmittedModuleInterface fails with an error saying "missing required modules: 'Realm.Private', 'Realm', 'Realm.Swift'" By default, Build Libraries For Distribution was set to YES, however if I turn it off then the warning and error go away and I can cleanly build the framework. I've been attempting to get a good understanding of this flag and if it should be used or not, most material says yes but doesn't go a good job of explaining why. However anyway I can't get the framework to build with RealmSwift as a dependency without turning off this flag. Therefore is that ok to proceed down that route? Does the fact the xcframework will only ever be distributed to one consumer affect decisions (i.e. binary compatibility etc.) Thanks

❗️SpeechAnalyzer.framework Not Found in Xcode 26 Beta 2 (17A5241o)
Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue trying to use the new SpeechAnalyzer framework announced at WWDC 2025. ❯ My Setup: • macOS: Sequoia 15.5 (Build 26.0 / macOS Tahoe Beta 26.0) • Xcode: 26.0 beta 2 (17A5241o) • Deployment Target: macOS 26.0 • Toolchain: Clang 17.0.0 (Apple) ❯ Problem: Despite following all setup requirements: • Setting macOS 26 as the deployment target • Using the latest Xcode 26 beta 2 • Running the correct developer toolchain (xcode-select is pointing to Xcode-beta) I still get the error: No such module 'SpeechAnalyzer' Additionally: • The SpeechAnalyzer.framework does not appear under /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/ • It is also not listed in the Link Binary with Libraries pane. ❯ What I’ve Tried: • Clean builds • Deleted DerivedData • Verified SDK installation paths • Reinstalled Xcode 26 beta 2 • find search for SpeechAnalyzer.framework returned nothing ❯ Request: Has anyone successfully used SpeechAnalyzer in Xcode 26 beta 2 on macOS Sequoia/Tahoe? Is there a separate SDK or seed profile required to access this framework? Would appreciate any guidance from Apple engineers or other beta testers. Thanks! — Lalit Lakhara

Unable to Install Provisioning profile
Hi, I'm unable to install provisioning profile on my iPad and I know the xcode component iOS/iPadOs version and iPadOS version should be same or below the latest compared to xcode components. Now the issue is xcode component version is iOS 18.4 (22E235) SDK + iOS 18.4 (22E238) Simulator (Installed) and iPadOS version is iOS 18.4.1(22E252) could this be cause of issue ? If yes then when will apple release components for 18.4.1? Because iOS 18.4.1 release at least 3-4 weeks before this post.

XCode 26 beta 2 is taking more than 20 seconds to start AVCaptureSession when AVCaptureVideoDataOutput and AVCaptureAudioDataOutput are added. Simulator navigation does not match real device.
My app uses the top navigation panel which contains the back button, a title, and prompt. On an actual device, the navigation area is light and shows all three items. On the simulator, the navigation area is black and only the back button is shown. I need this to be correct for app store screen shots.

How to install beta2 simulators?

this is our code foe fetching the apnstoken - and registering for the FCM and snding it to our servers. - we are consistently getting apns == null import 'dart:io'; import 'package:firebase_messaging/firebase_messaging.dart'; import 'package:firebase_auth/firebase_auth.dart'; import 'package:cloud_firestore/cloud_firestore.dart'; import 'package:firebase_messaging/firebase_messaging.dart'; import 'package:solaris/services/fetch_deviceId.dart'; Future initializeFCM() async { final FirebaseMessaging _firebaseMessaging = FirebaseMessaging.instance; // Request notification permissions for iOS final settings = await _firebaseMessaging.requestPermission(); print('Notifcation Permission Status: ${settings.authorizationStatus}'); String? apnsToken; int retries = 0; const int maxRetries = 60; const Duration retryDelay = Duration(seconds: 2); // Retry fetching the APNs token until it's available or max retries are reached while (apnsToken == null && retries < maxRetries) { print(retries); apnsToken = await _firebaseMessaging.getAPNSToken(); if (apnsToken == null) { await Future.delayed(retryDelay); retries++; } } if (apnsToken != null) { // APNs token is available, proceed to get FCM token String? fcmToken = await _firebaseMessaging.getToken(); if (fcmToken != null) { // Register the device and token with your backend await registerDeviceAndToken(fcmToken); } else { // Handle the case where FCM token is still null print('FCM token is null.'); } } else { // Handle the case where APNs token is not available after retries print('APNs token not available after retries.'); } } Future registerDeviceAndToken(String fcmToken) async { //fcmToken = fcmToken; print(fcmToken); final user = FirebaseAuth.instance.currentUser; if (user == null) { print('❌ User not logged in'); return; } final deviceId = await DeviceInfoService.getUniqueDeviceId(); //final fcmToken = await FirebaseMessaging.instance.getToken(); print('📱 Device ID from register_fcm: $deviceId'); print('📩 FCM Token from mew getapnd function: $fcmToken'); if (deviceId == null || fcmToken == null) { print('❌ Failed to get deviceId or fcmToken'); return; } final docRef = FirebaseFirestore.instance .collection('master_users') .doc(user.uid) .collection('deviceId') .doc(user.uid); // This document holds a map: { deviceId: fcmToken } print(docRef); try { // Get current data, fallback to empty map final snapshot = await docRef.get(); final data = snapshot.data() ?? <String, dynamic>{}; print(data); // Update or add current deviceId key data[deviceId] = fcmToken; // Save updated map back to Firestore await docRef.set(data); print(data); print('✅ Device ID and FCM token updated/stored under correct structure'); } catch (e) { print('❌ Firestore write error: $e'); } }

A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found.
I have a valid dev certificate and created a valid provisioning Profile. I have added the Device UDID too , which I can see in provisioning Profile too. In XCode-16 both certificate and provisioning Profile looks good and no issue here with the expiration date too. Issue - While running the app on my iPhone connected to Mac.its shows the build is successful but shows the followinf errors . An IPA of APP failing the installation. Unable to install the App `A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found. Domain: com.apple.dt.MobileDeviceErrorDomain`

The UT coverage does not include branch coverage for swift
We using below command to run unit test and collect coverage: xcodebuild -workspace Demo.xcworkspace -scheme VideoTests -configuration Debug -derivedDataPath ../build/derivedData -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,id=E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D' -resultBundlePath './fastlane/test_output/VideoTests.xcresult' -enableCodeCoverage YES -testPlan 'Video' test-without-building | tee '/Users/rcadmin/Library/Logs/scan/VideoTests.log' | xcbeautify -q --is-ci and using xcrun llvm-cov show command to generate coverage report: xcrun llvm-cov show /build/unit-test/coverage/libraries/merged/video.o -instr-profile=/app/ios/build/derivedData/Build//ProfileData/E6630007-570B-4DEB-A023-2BCE91116A8D/video.profdata -show-branches count -show-expansions -show-line-counts -use-color -format=html -output-dir coverage and the html report does not include branch coverage: how to generate the branch coverage?
