18.5 beta 22F5042g April 2, 2025 this last updates i did have troubles with my wi~fi connections.I dont know if it is only me who experienced this problem.Let us share and wait to see the perfomance of the new beta firmware updates.

My Macbook internal keyboard is ANSI Layout but in Keyboard setting input sources with beta is show the ISO layout. so I need to type `(backtick) but it show "§" instead. how to change keyboard type ISO to ANSI ?

Hello, I have a question regarding the ethernet-over-USB-C stack within iOS/iPadOS. It seems that when manually assigning an IP on this interface within iOS, the IP is stored. Therefore, when disconnecting (the USB-C cable) and reconnecting to another device for a subsequent ethernet connection, the iOS device will always default to the previously assigned IP address (obviously, this isn't the case if the other end is a DHCP server). So, within the iPhone's Ethernet-over-USB-C driver, I was curious if iOS just keeps the assignment based on the MAC of the local USB-C interface, or is stored information tied to some other identifier? Is there a way to override this behavior? Thank you

Installed the iOS 26 Beta on my iPhone 13 Pro last night, hated it. I wasn't aware that there is a supported way of restoring back to iOS18.5, so I (foolishly) opted to flash the iOS18.5 ispw file onto my device using a 3rd party tool. Now, my device is stuck in a state between. Unable to flash, unable to use itunes to restore, randomly gives error codes during restoration attempts. Worries my device may be lost permanently! Please advise.

Hello, I installed iOS 26 beta 1 yesterday when it came off but now, when I plug my iPhone, it just do nothing. I can charge it via the induction charger but I can't via USB-C port. The other way I can charge it is by turning my iPhone off and plugging it so it starts and then it charges via USB-C Port even when it starts. The thing is that when I unplug the cable and try to plug it back in, it doesn't charge anymore... I tried to put the restore mode (with the Mac and the cable on the screen) and even the DFU Mode but the iPhone is not detected by my Macbook and it's the same thing for my Windows PC : not detected... I also tried to erase the settings and content but same issue... Not charging Apple Store can do nothing because it's a dev beta... Am I the only one to have that issue ?

Maybe a bit of a simplistic question, but…. Best ways to create music - programmatically - within an app? I have a few small, simple games that I would like to add some background music to. I’ve fiddled with AVAudio, SKAudio, and now AudioKit. I’m just not quite finding the holy grail of music generation. I don’t know if it’s more technique or tool. So I thought I’d hit up the pool of minds here for some suggestions…?

Hello, I'm experiencing issues with multiple apps on macOS related to network-related tasks. FIrst, I had problems with the network filter on Avast security. It told me to allow net work filtering, so I pressed the popup button that said allow filtering, but did nothing and gave me a error. Later on, on Nord VPN didnt work aswell, when I had to grant permission to configure a VPN. It didn't even give me a description of the error, just said something went wrong. I contacted NordVPN support, which didnt do anything exept for telling me to uninstall avast and restart my mac, which I did but was useless. Please help me.

Yo i installed IOS 26 Beta to see how it is, and I want it to downgrade but Checking for Updates are unavailable and my iPhone 14 Pro is lagging i have 20-30 fps or something like that. And these Icons don’t wanna talk about it 🙏

The iPhone mobile data usage skyrocketed to use 1GB per day whereas I am normally a 5GB a month data user. the culprit was Apple System Services General there is currently no iPhone functionality to turn off System Services Genera. the solution was to block updates.cdn-apple.com using data sniffer called Proxyman. Hello all, I have an application that uses broadcast extension of Replay kit to record the entire screen and mic sound to a file on iOS. Up until some months ago, everything was smooth. Currently I am facing the following issue. If another app uses the microphone, then I loose the sound and never comes back. In order to debug this issue I have added a log to the processSampleBuffer, that logs a text each time it receives a .audioMic buffer type. I start the recording and everything works as expected. Later on, I go onto an app that uses microphone, and then I do not get any log for audioMic. I stop the recording on that app, but the sound never comes back. This as a result makes my video file to not have any sound at all. In the above context I also noticed that even with Photos app broadcast extension, if you start recording a video, and you go to Speech to text feature of the keyboard, then the sound is joined. While the STT is on, there is no sound and the sound of whatever comes after STT stops is joined to the sound before the STT starts, so I guess that this is something general. Also on the same research I did, I saw that google Meet app does not allow any microphone to be used from another app while you are in a meet (Even the STT is grayed out). I would like to know my options here. What can I do to have a valid video file with sound? How can I not allow other apps to use the microphone while my app is recording? Is there any entitlement? How does Google Meet do that? P.S. I have added an observer to observe the interruptions for the session and the type .began runs, but the type .ended does not, so I can not actually set the AVAudioSession to active again.

I want to update my iPhone 15 Pro to iOS 26 from iOS 18.5. I downloaded ipsw firmware. But iTunes and Apple Devices App requires update version of app for update to iOS 26. But I use last version of iTunes / Apple Devices, which was realised 2 May, 2025. That mean Apple need to update their apps for adaptation it to iOS 26 update?

My imessage has been acting up for 1 month now. It fails to activate my phone number and prefers my email. This is a beta issue Apple support has told me and it needs fixing asap.

I have an iPhone 12 mini and I am currently using it as a modem for my router. Previously it was running iOS 14, but the DHCP on iOS 14 doesn't work and Apple didn't fix it until iOS 15. Recently I upgraded the system to iOS 18.4 to get DHCP back, but I got a bigger problem. The iPhone will restart itself after 3 days, and then I just lost internet connection. The hotspot will not be turned on until I climbed on my bookshelf to unlock my phone. After I googled it, I found that it is a feature that Apple introduced in iOS 18.1. While I couldn't find any setting to turn it off. If this cannot be controlled by the user, then it is anyway a BUG than a feature.

I want to implement a feature where a custom notification sound file is downloaded from the server when the app is first launched and stored locally on the device. When a push notification arrives, the stored sound should be played in all app states, including foreground, background, and terminated (killed) state. Does anyone have an idea on how to implement this in iOS? Specifically, I am looking for guidance on: 1)Downloading and storing the sound file securely on the device. 2)Using the locally stored file for push notification sounds. 3)Ensuring the sound plays correctly in all states, including when the app is not running.
