Crash on UIApplicationInvalidInterfaceOrientation when [SKStoreProductViewController shouldAutorotate] is returning YES
I get crash reports which I can't reproduce when trying to present an SKStoreProductViewController : Fatal Exception: UIApplicationInvalidInterfaceOrientation Supported orientations has no common orientation with the application, and [SKStoreProductViewController shouldAutorotate] is returning YES No matter what app Deployment info orientation I try I can't get my SKStoreProductViewController shouldAutorotate property to return YES. It is always false. Does anyone knows why or how to get an SKStoreProductViewController to return shouldAutorotate YES?

"This in-app purchase has already been bought" Error and SSL Failure on Restore
There is a project that has been running online for years. A few months ago, a player reported that after making their first successful IAP at a specific purchase point, any subsequent attempts to purchase the same item do not trigger the payment window. Instead, they get the error:"This in-app purchase has already been bought".After contacting Apple Support once, the player was able to make a payment, but the issue reappeared on the next attempt. So far, this is the only user reporting the problem, other people can purchase normally. Question1: Here’s what I’ve tried: I reviewed the code and ensured that TransactionObserveris correctly called. I’ve also added **[[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction:transaction]**in all possible places, but the issue persists. According to the logs, after the user’s first purchase, every subsequent IAP attempt returns the same receipt from the initial successful transaction, even though I’m certain finishTransactionis being called. It seems like this method isn’t having the intended effect. Question2: I asked the player to manually trigger the Restore Purchases button by calling [[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] restoreCompletedTransactions]. the restoreCompletedTransactionsFailedWithErrorcallback returned the following error: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1200 "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made." The player has already checked their device time and tried switching between Wi-Fi and 4G, but the error remains. Is this SSL error related to the "already bought" error? Note that this SSL issue occurred during a separate restore process, not during a purchase attempt. Question: 3: I noticed that I’m not calling finishTransaction inside the restoreCompletedTransactionsFailedWithErrorcallback. Should I add it there? Purchase Logs: The player clicked "Restore Purchases" and then attempted another purchase. The purchase flow appears normal, but the IAP returns an old, already-used receipt. How to test refunds of consumable purchases?
I have consumable IAPs in my app. Currently there is no way for me to test refunds for them as Xcode testing doesn't allow refunds option for my Purchases. According to this official documentation on Transaction.all , i should be getting my refunded consumables in Transaction's all property. But there is no way for me to know what kind of data is in the refunded transaction object. Will there be a 'revocation date' like in the case of non-consumables?

How to retrieve the refund status of an order via API?
Hi everyone. I'm trying to use https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/get-transaction-info to retrieve order information. How can I get the refund status of an order through this API? Also, Apple's webhook notification for refunds includes fields like revocationReason and revocationType. Can these be retrieved through the API? I've noticed that some refund orders have these fields when retrieved using get-transaction-info api, but others don't. I don't know the reason for these differences. Could you please explain? Thank you very much.

"In-App Purchases are not allowed" Error Persists After All Troubleshooting Steps
Hello, I am consistently receiving the error message "In-app purchases are not allowed on this device" whenever I try to make an in-app purchase on my iOS device. Despite following all the recommended solutions I could find online, the issue remains unresolved. Here is a list of the steps I have already taken: Checked Screen Time Settings: I navigated to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases. I have confirmed that "In-App Purchases" is set to "Allow." I have also tried toggling this setting off and on again. Signed Out & In of Apple ID: I signed out of my Apple ID via Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases, restarted the device, and then signed back in. Restarted the Device: I have force-restarted my device multiple times. Updated iOS: I have ensured my device is running the latest version of iOS (checked via Settings > General > Software Update). Verified Payment Method: I have confirmed that my payment method on file is valid and up-to-date. Created a New Sandbox Account: I also created a new Sandbox Tester account in App Store Connect and tested with it, but the result was the same. Device Information: Device Model: iPhone 15, iPhone 13 iOS Version: iOS 17.5, iOS 18 Even after performing all of these steps, the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered such a stubborn issue, or does anyone have a different solution I could try? Thank you in advance for your help.

Need assistance preventing renewals for inactive promotional trial subscriptions
Can anyone advise on this? We distributed promotional trial codes for our app Ask Dolly. These 1-month free trials are set to renew and charge users in March 2026. A segment of users redeemed the promo codes but never created accounts or opened the app. We don't have their contact information to notify them. Our CEO has directed us to prevent these inactive subscriptions from renewing to avoid charging users who never engaged with the service. We've downloaded the Subscription and Offer Code Redemption reports from App Store Connect, but cannot map Apple's Subscriber IDs to our user database (we only store Transaction IDs). This prevents us from identifying which specific subscriptions to cancel. What We Need: Assistance preventing renewals for promotional subscriptions where users have had zero app sessions/opens as of the end of February. These trials will start to renew on March 3, 2026. We need to resolve this before then to avoid charging inactive users. Can you help us either: Cancel subscriptions associated with promo codes that show zero app engagement, or Provide guidance on how to programmatically identify and cancel these subscriptions?

In app purchase related doubts
My app offers auto renewable subscriptions, I have couple of questions regarding how to model the subscriptions at server side, Is originalTransactionId will ever change for a subscription? Will it stay same in case of subscription upgrade/downgrade/crossgrade? If it changes on product change then how do i keep track that the subscription was a continuous subscription and not a new one? Is the webhook payload contains any identifier of which apple account purchase the subscription? I am having issues maintaining sync between the app account's current subscription and the local apple account's subscription, is there any doc regarding this? Will be really helpful

subscriptionPeriod.unit returns both .week AND .day for weekly subscriptions?
After creating a new weekly subscription option, I get inconsistent results for subscriptionPeriod. In local testing with a synced or a un-synced StoreKit file I am getting unit == .week (as expected) whereas in TestFlight I am getting unit == .day. This makes unit.localizedDescriptionsomewhat unusable in the paywall. Am I missing something? Or is this bug or a limitation of StoreKit and/or TestFlight and/or newly created subscription options? Affected code (in a custom SubscriptionStoreControlStyle): private func priceDisplay(for pickerOption: Configuration.PickerOption) -> String { var result = "" if pickerOption.introductoryOffer != nil { result += NSLocalizedString("then", comment: "") + " " } result += pickerOption.displayPrice if let unit = pickerOption.subscriptionPeriod?.unit { result += " / " + unit.localizedDescription } return result } private func percentageSaved(for pickerOption: Configuration.PickerOption, allOptions: [Product]) -> Int? { guard let subscriptionPeriod = pickerOption.subscriptionPeriod, subscriptionPeriod != .weekly else { return nil } let weeklyOption = allOptions.first { otherOption in otherOption.subscription?.subscriptionPeriod == .weekly } guard let weeklyOption, weeklyOption.price > 0 else { return nil } let percentageSaved = 100 - (pickerOption.price / (weeklyOption.price * 52)) * 100 return Int((percentageSaved as NSNumber).doubleValue) }

unable to cancel test subscriptions
I tested a subscription with my developer account, it never charges but at the same time I can't cancel it anymore. It does not appear in the list of my official purchsed subscriptions. I tried to login to the sandbox with my developer account, but then when I click on "Manage" I just keep getting the error "Can't connect - retry". I have already tried to logout from all the services, App store, etc. and re-login, nothing worked. Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance to anyone who can give any tips.

Screen Rocorder plus Front Camera
I want to build an app for ios using react native. preferably expo. The app will be for recording user experiences with technology. the SLUDGE that they face while navigating through technology. I want to have basic login, signup. The main feature would be to have 2 recording modes. First is record the screen and the front camera simultaneously. Second is to record the back camera and the front camera simultaneously. I can then patch the two outputs later on that is the screen recording and the front camera clip in post processing. I want to know if this is possible as I was told that react native and expo does not have the support yet. if not is there any library or another approach to make this app come alive.

Calling AppTransaction in a SpriteKit app
Hello 👋! I'm trying to switch the business model in my app from premium to freemium, gracefully so that existing users aren't bothered. I'd like to provide newly-paywalled content for original paid users. For this to work, I need to use originalAppVersion in AppTransaction, and support iOS 16 at minimum. I've asked about originalAppVersion earlier here. I've upped to iOS 16 already, but I don't exactly know how to call AppTransaction.shared to get originalAppVersion. The issue lies in the fact that my app is based on SpriteKit, so the operative areas I have available to call AppTransaction are ostensibly limited to AppDelegate and GameViewController. I'm using the code from Supporting business model changes by using the app transaction, but if I place it in either GameViewController or AppDelegate, for example in application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) or viewDidLoad(), I get an error concerning async/await. Now, I understand the gist of it: these are not asynchronous methods. So I'm trying to understand how to do it perhaps outside of these methods. How do I call AppTransaction.shared (and fetch originalAppVersion) in a SpriteKit based app?

Sandbox Url Not Receiving App Store Server Notifications
I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. I then have used the node library app-store-server-library to mock a test notification and I am receiving the test notification when I call requestTestNotification method. below is the react-native code I am using: import {useEffect, useState} from "react"; import { initConnection, Sku, Subscription, useIAP, SubscriptionIOS, requestSubscription, PurchaseError, clearTransactionIOS } from "react-native-iap"; import styles from "@/screens/IAP/IAPStyles"; import CustomText from "@/components/CustomText"; import Heading from "@/components/Heading"; import subscriptionsProducts from "@/utilities/products"; function IAPScreen() { const [isPurchasing, setIsPurchasing] = useState<boolean>(false); const [loading, setLoading] = useState<boolean>(false); const { subscriptions, currentPurchase, finishTransaction, getSubscriptions } = useIAP(); function RenderProduct({ item } : { item: Subscription }) { const iosSubscription: SubscriptionIOS = item as SubscriptionIOS; return( <View style={styles.productCard}> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productTitle} text={iosSubscription.title} size={"medium"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={iosSubscription.description} size={"small"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productPrice} text={iosSubscription.localizedPrice} size={"small"} /> <Button title="Purchase" disabled={isPurchasing} onPress={ () => HandlePurchase(iosSubscription.productId) } /> </View> ); } async function HandlePurchase(sku: Sku) { try { setIsPurchasing(true); await requestSubscription({ sku, andDangerouslyFinishTransactionAutomaticallyIOS: false }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to purchase: " + error.message); } finally { setIsPurchasing(false); } } useEffect(() => { setLoading(true); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] Initializing IAP connection...`); const setupIAP = async () => { try { const result = await initConnection(); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] IAP connection initialized:`, result); await clearTransactionIOS(); await getSubscriptions({ skus: subscriptionsProducts }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to load products: " + error.message); } finally { setLoading(false); } }; setupIAP() .finally(() => setLoading(false)); }, []); useEffect(() => { const checkCurrentPurchase = async () => { try { if(currentPurchase?.productId) { console.log("Current purchase: ", currentPurchase); console.log("Transaction Id: ", currentPurchase.transactionId); await finishTransaction({ purchase: currentPurchase, isConsumable: false, }); } } catch (error) { if(error instanceof PurchaseError) { console.log("Purchase error: ", error); } else { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error); } } } if(currentPurchase) { console.log("Finishing current purchase."); checkCurrentPurchase() .catch(error => Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error.message)); } }, [currentPurchase, finishTransaction]); return( <View style={styles.mainContainer}> <Heading text={"Packages & Subscriptions"} type={"h2"} customStyles={styles.header} /> { loading ? <ActivityIndicator size="large" /> : subscriptions.length > 0 ? ( <> <FlatList data={subscriptions} renderItem={RenderProduct} keyExtractor={(item) => item.productId} /> </> ) : ( <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={"No available products."} size={"small"} /> ) } </View> ); } export default IAPScreen; I am using a store kit file where I just edited the scheme of application to use that store kit file. I would be really thankful If you can help me in this matter.

In-App Purchase Failing
hello, I have an app with In-App purchase set up, it works fine in TestFlight on an iOS device but the download from the App Store gives me a transaction failed message. I tried to replicate in the simulator but from what I've read is that you can't do in-app purchase testing in the simulator. Perhaps I'm wrong here but I've tried multiple sandbox accounts, etc.. and still get an unusual "...password can't be reused..." error (pasted below) in the debug description. I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this scenario and if so how did you go about researching/identifying the issue and/or resolving it. Partial error message: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x60000000e370>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=530 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x600000c74750 {Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=100 "Authentication Failed The authentication failed." iOS 26 still using apple ID for in app purchases when logged out of media and purchases on device
For testing purposes, I log out of media and purchases to use sandbox ID's to test in app purchases. Once I log out of media and purchases in device settings, in app purchases is still using my real apple ID, I'm not being prompted anymore to log into a sandbox ID for purchases.

Subscribers of App1 have access to App2??
Hi there, I have a plan of creating another app in the same niche, but I would like the actual subscribers to have access to the new app. So the subscribers of App 1 don't need to subscribe to App 2. Is that possible? Thanks Pedro M.R. Gregorio

Clarification Needed: Using action=write-review outside of the app
Hello, is it allowed to include the action=write-review URL parameter in customer support emails to direct users to the App Store review page? Example: https://apps.apple.com/app/id[APP_ID]?action=write-review I want to make it easy for customers to leave feedback after positive support interactions, but only if it's compliant.

subscriptionPeriod.unit returns both .week AND .day for weekly subscriptions?
After creating a new weekly subscription option, I get inconsistent results for subscriptionPeriod. In local testing with a synced or a un-synced StoreKit file I am getting unit == .week (as expected) whereas in TestFlight I am getting unit == .day. This makes unit.localizedDescriptionsomewhat unusable in the paywall. Am I missing something? Or is this bug or a limitation of StoreKit and/or TestFlight and/or newly created subscription options? Affected code (in a custom SubscriptionStoreControlStyle): private func priceDisplay(for pickerOption: Configuration.PickerOption) -> String { var result = "" if pickerOption.introductoryOffer != nil { result += NSLocalizedString("then", comment: "") + " " } result += pickerOption.displayPrice if let unit = pickerOption.subscriptionPeriod?.unit { result += " / " + unit.localizedDescription } return result } private func percentageSaved(for pickerOption: Configuration.PickerOption, allOptions: [Product]) -> Int? { guard let subscriptionPeriod = pickerOption.subscriptionPeriod, subscriptionPeriod != .weekly else { return nil } let weeklyOption = allOptions.first { otherOption in otherOption.subscription?.subscriptionPeriod == .weekly } guard let weeklyOption, weeklyOption.price > 0 else { return nil } let percentageSaved = 100 - (pickerOption.price / (weeklyOption.price * 52)) * 100 return Int((percentageSaved as NSNumber).doubleValue) }

unable to cancel test subscriptions

I have an Expo React Native application and I am using react-native-iap library. I have setup the URL for sandbox and production url to receive notifications when a something happens regarding subscriptions. I am not able to receive those notifications when I simulate the purchase on the Simulator using Xcode. I then have used the node library app-store-server-library to mock a test notification and I am receiving the test notification when I call requestTestNotification method. below is the react-native code I am using: import {useEffect, useState} from "react"; import { initConnection, Sku, Subscription, useIAP, SubscriptionIOS, requestSubscription, PurchaseError, clearTransactionIOS } from "react-native-iap"; import styles from "@/screens/IAP/IAPStyles"; import CustomText from "@/components/CustomText"; import Heading from "@/components/Heading"; import subscriptionsProducts from "@/utilities/products"; function IAPScreen() { const [isPurchasing, setIsPurchasing] = useState<boolean>(false); const [loading, setLoading] = useState<boolean>(false); const { subscriptions, currentPurchase, finishTransaction, getSubscriptions } = useIAP(); function RenderProduct({ item } : { item: Subscription }) { const iosSubscription: SubscriptionIOS = item as SubscriptionIOS; return( <View style={styles.productCard}> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productTitle} text={iosSubscription.title} size={"medium"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={iosSubscription.description} size={"small"} /> <CustomText customStyles={styles.productPrice} text={iosSubscription.localizedPrice} size={"small"} /> <Button title="Purchase" disabled={isPurchasing} onPress={ () => HandlePurchase(iosSubscription.productId) } /> </View> ); } async function HandlePurchase(sku: Sku) { try { setIsPurchasing(true); await requestSubscription({ sku, andDangerouslyFinishTransactionAutomaticallyIOS: false }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to purchase: " + error.message); } finally { setIsPurchasing(false); } } useEffect(() => { setLoading(true); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] Initializing IAP connection...`); const setupIAP = async () => { try { const result = await initConnection(); console.log(`[${new Date().toISOString()}] IAP connection initialized:`, result); await clearTransactionIOS(); await getSubscriptions({ skus: subscriptionsProducts }); } catch (error: any) { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to load products: " + error.message); } finally { setLoading(false); } }; setupIAP() .finally(() => setLoading(false)); }, []); useEffect(() => { const checkCurrentPurchase = async () => { try { if(currentPurchase?.productId) { console.log("Current purchase: ", currentPurchase); console.log("Transaction Id: ", currentPurchase.transactionId); await finishTransaction({ purchase: currentPurchase, isConsumable: false, }); } } catch (error) { if(error instanceof PurchaseError) { console.log("Purchase error: ", error); } else { Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error); } } } if(currentPurchase) { console.log("Finishing current purchase."); checkCurrentPurchase() .catch(error => Alert.alert("Error", "Failed to finish transaction: " + error.message)); } }, [currentPurchase, finishTransaction]); return( <View style={styles.mainContainer}> <Heading text={"Packages & Subscriptions"} type={"h2"} customStyles={styles.header} /> { loading ? <ActivityIndicator size="large" /> : subscriptions.length > 0 ? ( <> <FlatList data={subscriptions} renderItem={RenderProduct} keyExtractor={(item) => item.productId} /> </> ) : ( <CustomText customStyles={styles.productDescription} text={"No available products."} size={"small"} /> ) } </View> ); } export default IAPScreen; I am using a store kit file where I just edited the scheme of application to use that store kit file. I would be really thankful If you can help me in this matter.

Display frequency of the winback offer sheet
Could you tell me about the specifications of the winback offer? If a user is eligible for the winback offer, will the winback offer sheet be displayed every time the app is launched? Or will the OS adjust the display frequency in some way?

Partial error message: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x60000000e370>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=530 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x600000c74750 {Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=100 "Authentication Failed The authentication failed." UserInfo={NSMultipleUnderlyingErrorsKey=( "Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=2 "Password reuse not available for account The account state does not support password reuse." UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=Password reuse not available for account The account state does not support password reuse., AMSDescription=Password reuse not available for account, AMSFailureReason=The account state does not support password reuse.}"
