Issue with "Transaction.currentEntitlements": Some paid users cannot use the features of our subscription plan
Some paid users are unable to use the paid features unlocked by purchasing our subscription plan. It seems that this is due to StoreKit 2's Transaction.currentEntitlements not working the way we would expect it to work. Are you also encountering this issue? Do you have any idea to improve this situation? At launch, our app checks if the user is subscribed to the plan, using Transaction.currentEntitlements. As a result, the currentEntitlements array was empty. Our app then fetches the products from StoreKit 2 using Product.products(for:). As a result, the Product.SubscriptionInfo.RenewalState value of the corresponding Product (product.subscription.status.first.state) is subscribed, which confirms that the user has indeed purchased our plan, but seems to contradict the absence of the corresponding transaction in Transaction.currentEntitlements. Proactive in-app purchase restore and a restore purchase button calling the AppStore.sync() method are implemented, but using the button did not solve the issue.

Landscape safe area is incorrect when presenting SKStoreProductViewController
Hi. If the app is in landscape only and when the SKStoreProductViewController is presented, the safeArea changes to what looks like a portrait mode safe area. When the SKStoreProductViewController is dismissed, the safeArea does NOT revert back to the original values. Is there a way to force the safeArea to "reset"? I've submitted some bug tickets through Apple Feedback but I haven't received any response about it. The below code will pop up the SKStoreProductViewController and if you have a UIView that is constrained to the safe area, then you can visibly notice that the safe area is changed and doesn't go back. I have tested this on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 Pro and in the Simulators. The incorrect behavior happens on those and probably more. Cancel subscription not working in TestFlight
Hi, I have deployed my app on Test Flight, I have two subscriptions, monthly and yearly. User can have one of them at a time and upgrade, downgrade to the other. Upgrade, downgrade, cancel from the Apple Settings worked fine in the sandbox environment when testing locally. Now when I have deployed the app on TestFlight, I was able to purchase the subscription successfully from my app. Now when I want to cancel my subscription from the Apple Settings it gives me the following error after confirming cancellation, 'Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later.' Also the other subscription offer (yearly) is also not shown to which I could upgrade, even though in the sandbox I was able to upgrade downgrade from the settings. Another thing I have noticed is that the app Icon or name is not shown anywhere in settings with the subscription. Instead of app icon only empty square is shown. Even though app icon shows fine everywhere else. Can someone please help me figure out this issue?

App Store Server Notifications and API Client - Toggling Sandbox vs Production Environment
The documentation mentions the following: Verify your receipt first with the production URL; then verify with the sandbox URL if you receive a 21007 status code. This approach ensures you don’t have to switch between URLs while your app is in testing, in review by App Review, or live in the App Store. This way, you can use one server environment to handle both Sandbox and Production environments. It is necessary to pass App Review. However, I'm not manually hitting these URLs - I'm using Apple's libraries. Specifically, the environment is used in SignedDataVerifier and AppStoreServerAPIClient. (I can't link to these because, for some reason, the domain apple.github.io is not allowed. The documentation for these is only found there. You can find it quickly by searching these terms and the domain.) So for SignedDataVerifier is it as simple as wrapping my code in a try/catch and checking that the error's status code is 21007? I'm unsure about this because if you scroll to the bottom of the linked source code file, you can see the enumeration VerificationStatus, but it's unclear if this member has a value of 21007. The source code for AppStoreServerAPIClient only says that it throws an APIException if a response could not be processed, so I'm not too sure about how to handle this one.

StoreKit Configuration Not Syncing to Xcode
Hello! I am attempting to add Subscriptions to an App that Is already published on the App Store. I cannot get Xcode to actually sync what is in my App Store Connect. When adding the Storekit configuration file, I go through the automatic linking process and select the proper bundleID. The configuration file says 'Synced @ [CurrentTime]' however there are no subscriptions listed in there. I have attempted deleting the file several times, creating a new subscription group. With no success. Do I need to publish the subscriptions without the features first? Upon attempting to write the supporting code that will enable these features within the app, I cannot get Xcode to identify that I have these subscriptions. I have also tried pushing these to TestFlight, still with no success. Thank you.

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

【iOS18.2~18.3.2 bug】After switching sandbox accounts in Settings, the value of SKStorefront.countryCode is not synchronized
Problem Description: 1、I have two sandbox accounts from different countries. Account A is from Mainland China (CHN), and Account B is from the United States (USA). When I switch the sandbox account from Account A (CHN) to Account B (USA) in the system settings and restart the app, the value of SKPaymentQueue.defaultQueue.storefront.countryCode always returns "CHN" instead of the expected "USA". 2、This issue only occurs on iOS 18.2 and above. 3、On the same device running iOS 17.5.1, the behavior is correct. However, after upgrading the system to iOS 18.3.2, the error occurs. 4、In the sandbox environment, although SKStorefront.countryCode returns the wrong value, the currency type for Apple's in-app purchase is correct when initiating the payment. 5、The issue only exists in the sandbox environment and does not occur in the App Store-downloaded package. Demo Code: - (IBAction)clickButton:(id)sender { NSString *appStoreCountryCode3 = SKPaymentQueue.defaultQueue.storefront.countryCode; NSLog(@"%@",appStoreCountryCode3); } Demo Testing Steps and Results: 1、Sandbox Account A (China) will print "CHN". 2、Go to Settings - Developer - (at the bottom) SANDBOX APPLE ACCOUNT, and switch to another sandbox account B (USA). 3、Restart the Demo App. 4、Print results: iOS 17.5.1: "USA" ✅ → Upgrade the system of the same device to iOS 18.3.2 → "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.2.1: "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.3.1: "CHN" ❌ iOS 18.3.2: "CHN" ❌ Possible Clues: Starting with iOS 18.2, Apple changed the entry point for setting up sandbox accounts, which introduced this bug. It seems that when users switch sandbox accounts on iOS 18.2, Apple engineers forgot to notify the SKStorefront class to update the countryCode value. Before iOS 18.2: Settings - App Store - Sandbox Account iOS 18.2 and later: Settings - Developer - (at the bottom) Sandbox Account Although it doesn't affect the App Store package, it does impact our development and testing process. StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Storekit, how to change and retrieve current user storefront
I've been struggling to work with the Storekit framework and specifically to find the current Storefront used by the user of the app. Context : My app needs to behave differently depending on the country of the user. For me relying on Locale.current.region?.identifier does not seem very reliable, the user can change it really easily. I'm trying to use the Storekit framework like so : if let storefront = await StoreKit.Storefront.current{ return storefront.countryCode } As per Apple's Storekit documentation : Use current to determine a customer's current storefront region and offer in-app products suitable for that region. You maintain your own list of product identifiers and the storefronts in which you make them available. But I just can't find out what I need to change in my current configuration to get another country. The code keeps returning my original storefront (which is France) I've tried login in with a sandbox user defined on another country. Changed all settings on my device to another country. Changed my Apple's account region as described here. Also tried to logout from everything. The only thing that works is setting a local .storekit file as described here and changing the default storefront. Is Xcode overriding the default storefront when building on debug or TestFlight? does anyone know how can I test different storefronts with sandbox users without the local storekit file ? Billing Problem while subscription renewal.
Hello, I'm currently experiencing issues with IAP subscription setup. The following error appears: "Billing Problem, There was a problem with your subscription renewal. To resolve, turn on Allow Purchases & Renewals, or leave off to test failed in-app purchase attempts and subscription renewals." I'm testing with a sandbox account, and automatic subscription renewal is turned on in the sandbox settings. A notification screen appears at the OS level, and consequently, a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW error occurs on our payment server. I cannot determine the cause at all, so I would appreciate your assistance in checking this issue.

Unable to sign in to Sandbox Apple Account on Simulator
I am unable to sign in to a Sandbox Apple Account, where this issue occurs only via Simulator. Under Settings > Developer, I tap "Sign In" under Sandbox Apple Account. I enter my account credentials, and after bringing me back to the Developer page, the Sign In button briefly appears as disabled, before being re-enabled, without signing in to the account. (The account credentials are also recognized as correct, as I will receive an alert popup if incorrect.) See screenshots below: After signing in, Sign In button appears disabled... ... then is re-enabled without actually signing in to the account. I have now tried setting up multiple sandbox accounts via App Store Connect with various permutations (no confirmation of Apple Account email, confirming Apple Account email, logging in to iCloud and accepting terms of service), running different device simulators, running simulators on different Mac computers... none of which yield a different result. By contrast, I can sign in to the Sandbox Apple Account without issue on a physical device. The problem occurs only via Simulator.

StoreKit 2 Fails to Load Subscription Products
We are experiencing a critical issue where StoreKit 2 is returning empty products when using Product.products(for:), specifically on devices running iOS 18.4.

 This issue does not occur on iOS 18.3 or earlier.

 Steps:

 Created a subscription product (e.g. "upm1") in App Store Connect
 Confirmed the product is active, localised, and part of a valid subscription group
 Call the following Swift code using StoreKit 2:
 Task { do { let products = try await Product.products(for: ["upm1"]) print(products) } catch { print("Error: (error)") } } 4. Result: products is an empty list.

 This regression is blocking subscription testing on iOS 18.4. 

 Kindly someone please advise on a potential fix or workaround.

Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. We created a generic subscription in the Appstore connect, product ID: com.example.subscription Then in the app we load the subscription: try await Product.products(for: ["com.example.subscription"]) We do the JWS serialization on our backend and then we wrap the jwt and convert it to Data in the app as this: let request = """ { "signatureInfo": { "token": "\(result.signedPayload)" } } """ let advancedCommerceRequestData = Data(request.utf8) Lastly, we apply the purchase options on the generic product as this: try await product.purchase( options: [ Product.PurchaseOption.custom( key: "advancedCommerceData", value: advancedCommerceRequestData ) ] ) It doesn't show any error, but on the payment sheet it shows the data from the generic subscription and not the data that was in the SubscriptionCreateRequest. StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. Subscription Cancellation
Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

Cannot get public keys for jwks verification
I am using the public url https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/jwsPublicKeys to get the jwks keys to verify the signed payload for store kit payments. The property Product.displayPrice does not display the correct price
Hi, I'm new to AppStore Connect, and I'm learning how subscriptions work. I'm finalizing my first app, but on my TF, I'm having some issues with the price: it's always displayed in US dollars on my paywall. When I tap "subscribe," the Apple sheet correctly offers the price in euros. I'm using Product.displayPrice to display the price in my paywall. The documentation did mention it is The localized string representation of the product price, suitable for display. So, is it normal in my case for the price in dollars to be displayed and not the price in euros like the Apple sheet? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, I have deployed my app on Test Flight, I have two subscriptions, monthly and yearly. User can have one of them at a time and upgrade, downgrade to the other. Upgrade, downgrade, cancel from the Apple Settings worked fine in the sandbox environment when testing locally. Now when I have deployed the app on TestFlight, I was able to purchase the subscription successfully from my app. Now when I want to cancel my subscription from the Apple Settings it gives me the following error after confirming cancellation, 'Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later.' Also the other subscription offer (yearly) is also not shown to which I could upgrade, even though in the sandbox I was able to upgrade downgrade from the settings. Another thing I have noticed is that the app Icon or name is not shown anywhere in settings with the subscription. Instead of app icon only empty square is shown. Even though app icon shows fine everywhere else. Can someone please help me figure out this issue?

App Store Server Notifications and API Client - Toggling Sandbox vs Production Environment
The documentation mentions the following: Verify your receipt first with the production URL; then verify with the sandbox URL if you receive a 21007 status code. This approach ensures you don’t have to switch between URLs while your app is in testing, in review by App Review, or live in the App Store. This way, you can use one server environment to handle both Sandbox and Production environments. It is necessary to pass App Review. However, I'm not manually hitting these URLs - I'm using Apple's libraries. Specifically, the environment is used in SignedDataVerifier and AppStoreServerAPIClient. (I can't link to these because, for some reason, the domain apple.github.io is not allowed. The documentation for these is only found there. You can find it quickly by searching these terms and the domain.) So for SignedDataVerifier is it as simple as wrapping my code in a try/catch and checking that the error's status code is 21007? I'm unsure about this because if you scroll to the bottom of the linked source code file, you can see the enumeration VerificationStatus, but it's unclear if this member has a value of 21007. The source code for AppStoreServerAPIClient only says that it throws an APIException if a response could not be processed, so I'm not too sure about how to handle this one.

StoreKit Configuration Not Syncing to Xcode
Hello! I am attempting to add Subscriptions to an App that Is already published on the App Store. I cannot get Xcode to actually sync what is in my App Store Connect. When adding the Storekit configuration file, I go through the automatic linking process and select the proper bundleID. The configuration file says 'Synced @ [CurrentTime]' however there are no subscriptions listed in there. I have attempted deleting the file several times, creating a new subscription group. With no success. Do I need to publish the subscriptions without the features first? Upon attempting to write the supporting code that will enable these features within the app, I cannot get Xcode to identify that I have these subscriptions. I have also tried pushing these to TestFlight, still with no success. Thank you.

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

【iOS18.2~18.3.2 bug】After switching sandbox accounts in Settings, the value of SKStorefront.countryCode is not synchronized
Problem Description: 1、I have two sandbox accounts from different countries. Account A is from Mainland China (CHN), and Account B is from the United States (USA). When I switch the sandbox account from Account A (CHN) to Account B (USA) in the system settings and restart the app, the value of SKPaymentQueue.defaultQueue.storefront.countryCode always returns "CHN" instead of the expected "USA". 2、This issue only occurs on iOS 18.2 and above. 3、On the same device running iOS 17.5.1, the behavior is correct. However, after upgrading the system to iOS 18.3.2, the error occurs. 4、In the sandbox environment, although SKStorefront.countryCode returns the wrong value, the currency type for Apple's in-app purchase is correct when initiating the payment. 5、The issue only exists in the sandbox environment and does not occur in the App Store-downloaded package. It seems that when users switch sandbox accounts on iOS 18.2, Apple engineers forgot to notify the SKStorefront class to update the countryCode value. Before iOS 18.2: Settings - App Store - Sandbox Account iOS 18.2 and later: Settings - Developer - (at the bottom) Sandbox Account Although it doesn't affect the App Store package, it does impact our development and testing process. StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Storekit, how to change and retrieve current user storefront
I've been struggling to work with the Storekit framework and specifically to find the current Storefront used by the user of the app. Context : My app needs to behave differently depending on the country of the user. For me relying on Locale.current.region?.identifier does not seem very reliable, the user can change it really easily. I'm trying to use the Storekit framework like so : if let storefront = await StoreKit.Storefront.current{ return storefront.countryCode } As per Apple's Storekit documentation : Use current to determine a customer's current storefront region and offer in-app products suitable for that region. You maintain your own list of product identifiers and the storefronts in which you make them available. But I just can't find out what I need to change in my current configuration to get another country. The code keeps returning my original storefront (which is France) I've tried login in with a sandbox user defined on another country. Changed all settings on my device to another country. Changed my Apple's account region as described here. Also tried to logout from everything. The only thing that works is setting a local .storekit file as described here and changing the default storefront. Is Xcode overriding the default storefront when building on debug or TestFlight? does anyone know how can I test different storefronts with sandbox users without the local storekit file ? Billing Problem while subscription renewal.
Hello, I'm currently experiencing issues with IAP subscription setup. The following error appears: "Billing Problem, There was a problem with your subscription renewal. To resolve, turn on Allow Purchases & Renewals, or leave off to test failed in-app purchase attempts and subscription renewals." I'm testing with a sandbox account, and automatic subscription renewal is turned on in the sandbox settings. A notification screen appears at the OS level, and consequently, a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW error occurs on our payment server. I cannot determine the cause at all, so I would appreciate your assistance in checking this issue.

Unable to sign in to Sandbox Apple Account on Simulator
I am unable to sign in to a Sandbox Apple Account, where this issue occurs only via Simulator. Under Settings > Developer, I tap "Sign In" under Sandbox Apple Account. I enter my account credentials, and after bringing me back to the Developer page, the Sign In button briefly appears as disabled, before being re-enabled, without signing in to the account. (The account credentials are also recognized as correct, as I will receive an alert popup if incorrect.) See screenshots below: After signing in, Sign In button appears disabled... ... then is re-enabled without actually signing in to the account. I have now tried setting up multiple sandbox accounts via App Store Connect with various permutations (no confirmation of Apple Account email, confirming Apple Account email, logging in to iCloud and accepting terms of service), running different device simulators, running simulators on different Mac computers... none of which yield a different result. By contrast, I can sign in to the Sandbox Apple Account without issue on a physical device. The problem occurs only via Simulator.

StoreKit 2 Fails to Load Subscription Products
We are experiencing a critical issue where StoreKit 2 is returning empty products when using Product.products(for:), specifically on devices running iOS 18.4.

 This issue does not occur on iOS 18.3 or earlier.

 Steps:

 Created a subscription product (e.g. "upm1") in App Store Connect
 Confirmed the product is active, localised, and part of a valid subscription group
 Call the following Swift code using StoreKit 2:
 Task { do { let products = try await Product.products(for: ["upm1"]) print(products) } catch { print("Error: (error)") } } 4. Result: products is an empty list.

 This regression is blocking subscription testing on iOS 18.4. 

 Kindly someone please advise on a potential fix or workaround.

Advanced commerce API - dynamic subscriptions
Hello, We have been approved for the Advanced commerce API and we are trying to implement dynamically created subscriptions via the SubscriptionCreateRequest. We followed the Sending Advanced Commerce API requests from your app (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/sending-advanced-commerce-api-requests-from-your-app) documentation but we are not able to make it work correctly. We created a generic subscription in the Appstore connect, product ID: com.example.subscription Then in the app we load the subscription: try await Product.products(for: ["com.example.subscription"]) We do the JWS serialization on our backend and then we wrap the jwt and convert it to Data in the app as this: let request = """ { "signatureInfo": { "token": "\(result.signedPayload)" } } """ let advancedCommerceRequestData = Data(request.utf8) Lastly, we apply the purchase options on the generic product as this: try await product.purchase( options: [ Product.PurchaseOption.custom( key: "advancedCommerceData", value: advancedCommerceRequestData ) ] ) It doesn't show any error, but on the payment sheet it shows the data from the generic subscription and not the data that was in the SubscriptionCreateRequest. StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. Hi Team, I’ve successfully implemented the subscription flow for my app. However, I’m currently facing challenges related to testing the cancellation behavior for auto-renewable subscriptions. Specifically: I’m unable to locate the correct payload structure for the following test endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/test I’m also unclear on how to simulate or complete the full lifecycle of a subscription (including cancellation) using Apple’s sandbox environment or APIs. Could you please guide me on how to: Retrieve or construct the proper payload for the test notification API? Simulate a cancellation flow end-to-end in the sandbox for auto-renewable subscriptions?

Cannot get public keys for jwks verification

The property Product.displayPrice does not display the correct price
Hi, I'm new to AppStore Connect, and I'm learning how subscriptions work. I'm finalizing my first app, but on my TF, I'm having some issues with the price: it's always displayed in US dollars on my paywall. When I tap "subscribe," the Apple sheet correctly offers the price in euros. I'm using Product.displayPrice to display the price in my paywall. The documentation did mention it is The localized string representation of the product price, suitable for display. So, is it normal in my case for the price in dollars to be displayed and not the price in euros like the Apple sheet? Thank you in advance for your help.
