App Store Server Notifications Update
Hello Apple Support Team, We're a developer team that has created an app with subscription-based features, and we've been using App Store Server Notifications to receive updates about user subscription status changes. I'm reaching out to inquire about potential modifications to the App Store Server Notifications approach that might have improved notification delivery times for my app. So on our appstore app, when a user purchases a subscription, the apple server notifications reach our server and send us the complete detail of that user’s purchase for eg he upgraded or downgraded etc. And then based on the data we receive from app store server notifications, we save it in our database, along with updating the users subscription table in the database. Previously, we experienced delays in receiving the real time notifications from apple on our server, sometimes taking a few minutes, while other times they would arrive immediately. And because of this issue, the users faced delay in seeing their subscription updates, as our db was updated only after the app store server notification reached our server. However, recently, we've noticed a significant improvement, and notifications are now being delivered still in real-time, but without any noticeable delays. I'm wondering if Apple has made any changes to the App Store Server Notifications system that might have resolved the delay issue. Could you please confirm if any modifications were made in 2025, specifically from January onwards, that might have improved notification delivery times? Additionally, I'd like to know if these changes apply to both sandbox testing and production environments. If possible, could you please provide more information about the changes or direct me to a resource that might explain the updates? I'd appreciate your assistance in confirming this information, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

(verifyreceipt) I cannot verify from the server whether the user's iap payment is successful or not
I have three questions about verify receipt I use this api (https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt)to verify receipt is success or not. But since last month, this interface has started to return an error(21002). I see this document (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/verifyreceipt) say its Deprecated. My question is, is the error suddenly returned recently because the interface has been deprecated or for some other reason? (I haven't modified my code about this recently) 2. I can not understand this document: (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstorereceipts/validating_receipts_on_the_device) Does this mean that in the new version, as long as the app returns a payment success (purchaseDetails.status == PurchaseStatus.purchased), the payment is guaranteed to be successful, and my server does not need to request payment result verification from Apple's server? 3. I try to use this (https://github.com/apple/app-store-server-library-java) to get TransactionInfo, but I dont konw to get Transaction status to know is success or not. my java server code : AppStoreServerAPIClient client = new AppStoreServerAPIClient(encodedKey, keyId, issuerId, bundleId, environment); TransactionInfoResponse response = client.getTransactionInfo(transactionId); (bug i can note get transaction status, how do i konw this Transaction is success or not)

Making numerical StoreKit transaction IDs in Xcode work with app store server notifications
Hi, I have a setup using App Store Server notifications, which has worked fine for a while now. However, I've never been able to successfully verify a purchase via Xcode, only via TestFlight. The reason for this is that the StoreKit transactions have numerical IDs (e.g. starting from 0, incrementing one-by-one), instead of UUIDs like in TestFlight/production. This means that often the backend will detect an existing transaction with the same ID and not complete the purchase. What are we meant to do here? If I send a custom ID to make it unique the backend won't accept this - I can ask them to change this for our dev environment but it's not ideal. What I'm after is a way to use UUIDs for transaction IDs when running via Xcode. Thanks

Problem with siubscriptions in Sandbox
The phone is set up with the developer program to cancel subscriptions from the app we developed. However, after the OS update on the phone, the subscriptions no longer appear in the developer program, although the subscription does exist in the app itself. Conversion tracking with the SKAN
Hello all, We developed an iOS app which we started advertising now. In our iOS app we already implemented the updatePostbackConversionValue(_:completionHandler:) to send in-app events in increasing numbers (first open -> 1, lead ->2, conversion -> 3). From our understanding this should be enough for alle ad networks (Apple Ads, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads and Reddit Ads) to receive those numbers - at least they receive the app installs from the SKAN already. Is this correct or do we miss something here in the integration? We currently really struggle to assure that everything is working and we do not see any conversions coming in - even though two weeks of advertising have passed already. StoreKit 2: jwsRepresentation Validation, Rate-Limit Relief, and Send Consumption Info Effectiveness
Hi everyone, We operate an online game where all in-app assets are stored server-side and require a logged-in account (no device binding). I’d like guidance on four areas: Do we really need deviceVerification / deviceVerificationNonce? – Because every purchase is tied to an account and we enforce a global transactionId UNIQUE constraint, replay or cross-account reuse appears infeasible. Under these conditions, is omitting device verification acceptable, or are there situations where Apple still recommends it? Permanent rate-limit increase for the App Store Server API – During anniversary events we saw bursts of ~18 000 requests per hour, breaching the current hourly cap on the App Store Server API (verifyTransaction, getNotificationHistory, etc.). Is there a formal process to request a long-term rate-limit expansion (or an alternative tier) from Apple? When is an App Store Server API call required for a StoreKit 2 jwsRepresentation? Docs say “call the API if you’re unsure,” but there’s no clear cut-off. Because we fully validate the JWS signature plus the entire certificate chain (including CRL/OCSP checks) on our server, local cryptographic validation seems sufficient for consumables. For subscriptions we still plan to hit the API to fetch the latest status. Does this separation match Apple’s best practice? If Apple does recommend hitting the API for consumables as well, we’d like a concrete rule of thumb—e.g. “if the item price is USD 50 or higher, always use the API.” Is establishing such thresholds consistent with Apple’s intent? Refund-risk reduction from Send Consumption Info – Adapty reports a 40–60 % refund-rate drop for subscriptions when using Send Consumption Info (blog reference). Can we expect similar reduction for consumable IAP in social/online games? Any real-world results would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

App crashes on launch due to missing Swift Concurrency symbol
I'm encountering a crash on app launch. The crash is observed in iOS version 17.6 but not in iOS version 18.5. The only new notable thing I added to this app version was migrate to store kit 2. AppStore response times for the store test environment to make purchases is very long.
Currently, over the xcode environment to do the testing of product subscriptions through appstore are working correctly using the storeKit. When deployed in testflight to do the testing over the integration environment, the store response times are being excessively high, in excess of 20 minutes. This behavior is not replicated on Xcode, and is happening on recent versions uploaded to testflight, as earlier versions that were already tested and are currently in production. In addition the communication between the appstore webhook and the BE is also failing in this environment. It is being blocked to generate any test to be able to launch to production.

Issue with In-App Subscription Payments – Pending Transactions
Hi, I am experiencing an issue with in-app subscriptions in my React Native application known-singles, using the react-native-iap library. When a user subscribes to a plan, the transaction executes successfully, and a receipt is returned. However, the transaction remains in a pending state indefinitely and does not update. Additionally, the transaction amount is not deposited into my bank account, even though all banking details are correctly set up in App Store Connect. We have thoroughly debugged the issue on our end but could not identify the cause. TestFlight transactions complete successfully, but real purchases remain stuck in pending status. Here are the relevant details of our implementation: React Native version: 0.60.4 react-native-iap version: 4.2.2 Could you please assist in resolving this issue? Unable to get product from storekit in productRequest method.
We’re encountering a problem with StoreKit in the sandbox environment. During an SKProductsRequest, some or all of the product identifiers provided are being returned in the invalidProductIdentifiers array of the SKProductsResponse, despite being valid and already approved. This behavior began occurring since last 2 days only and appears to be intermittent—in some cases, a product identifier that initially fails will succeed after one or two retries, without any changes on our end. What we've verified: All product identifiers are correctly configured and approved in App Store Connect. No recent changes have been made to our product configuration. The same product identifiers have previously worked without issue. We would appreciate any assistance in identifying the root cause of this behavior. Please also let us know if there is a known issue currently affecting StoreKit sandbox services. Thank you for your support.

Server-to-server notification received 2 days after subscription
One of our customers subscribed to a monthly plan on August 16 but the server-to-server notification seems to have been sent on August 18. What could be the reasons for such a delay between the purchase and the server-to-server notification which are usually sent right after the purchase? The receipt sent along with the notification seems to confirm that the receipt has only been created 2 days after the purchase. StoreKit 2: Handle unfinished consumables
I have non-consumable and consumable in-app purchases in my app. The tutorial I was following stated Transaction.currentEntitlements includes unfinished consumables, which is incorrect according to the documentation. Is the correct way to handle unfinished consumables (and non-consumables) to implement Transaction.updates and call finish() if it’s verified? The documentation says that listener will receive unfinished transactions once upon app launch, so with that, do I understand correctly you do not need to implement Transaction.unfinished unless you want to look for unfinished transactions manually later on? Otherwise what is the correct and most recommended way to handle unfinished consumables? Is there a way to test that scenario in Xcode?

User charged, but .userCancelled returned
Hello, Is anyone else seeing Purchase.PurchaseResult.UserCancelled, despite a successful transaction? I had a user notify me today that he: Attempted a purchase Entered payment credentials Was asked to opt in to email subscription notifications Opted In Was shown my app's "User Canceled Purchase" UI Attempted to repurchase Was alerted that he was "Already Subscribed" I have adjusted my code to check Transaction.currentEntitlements on receiving a .userCancelled result, to avoid this in the future. Is this logically sound? "Bug description: We were unable to tap on 'Upgrade to Pro' button."
Hey guys, I am developing a habit tracker app right now. I know it's basic but it's my first app and I wanted an easy start but this is more of a struggle than I thought. So I am trying to publish my app fully on the App Store however everytime I do there is some kind of bug with it. But when I test it, it works perfect for me. Anyways, in this case the reviewer said when they go to the pro page of my app to purchase a pro subscription and try to press upgrade to pro nothing pops up. It pops up normally for me on my iPhone but not other devices. I wanted to make sure if this was normal or if there is something I am supposed to fix. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
