I'm pretty desperate today and unfortunately it's making me sick, really sick. Yesterday I edited a note on a MacBook Pro, M2 processor, MacOS Sequoia 15.8.1 (-1) and today the text work I invested several days in is lost. My only option is to delete the note! So far I've had very, very good experiences with the Notes.app, robust, reliable, manageable range of functions. When integrating the math functions I became really suspicious for the first time. I had calculated series and sequences and suddenly the Note.app froze for a worryingly long time, in fact the entire operating system was blocked. Then today I got a huge shock, the note can no longer be opened, neither on the iPhone nor on the MacBook Pro. The note contained my business concept for a business partner. I had already been writing the concept for several days! I estimated the value at several thousand euros. This has torn me apart, I can feel myself getting sick. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and it might take a week for me to get a sick note. I'm pretty shocked. Here are the technical details, in case someone at Apple Incorp. wants to look into it. The note contains links and photos and is encrypted! Which in and of itself is an impossibility. Or is it? In any case, the Notes.app has always stubbornly claimed that I cannot encrypt notes with this content. That's a paradox, isn't it? I'm schizophrenic! I'm attaching the Notes.app crash report to this post. I can't say more at the moment. Except that I'm very, very sad and very, very shocked. Notes wurde unerwartet beendet.

I am trying to create a phone app that can receive incoming call notifications using CallKit, as described in Apple's CallKit documentation. Added the com.apple.developer.calling-app entitlement in my .entitlements file. Implemented CXProvider and set up the delegate methods (provider:perform: and providerDidReset). Added UIBackgroundModes with voip in Info.plist. Configured CXProviderConfiguration to support phone numbers. I expected to receive incoming call notifications when my app was set as the default calling app. However, I am not receiving any notifications when an incoming call arrives. How can I properly detect and handle incoming calls in my default calling app? Is there any additional configuration required for iOS 18.2+?

I’m having trouble downloading my yahoo emails. I use the Mail function for all my email accounts. The Comcast emails seem to be downloading fine. I get the posix96 error. Is there a fix for this yet??

Hi, I am a new user here, I have created my apple developer account and purchased an apple developer membership for a year. I have received my web order details and also the invoice few days ago but when I try to go to App Store Connect it won't let me in. I have contacted the apple developer support 3 days ago but I did not received any response yet. It's frustrating. I do not know much how to navigate on these apple products and devices so I am kind of lost here. Your help or advice, would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I believed I have already enrolled in this apple developer membership because every time I tried to click enrol it leads me to another purchase membership page which I have already paid, so I ended up clicking the withdraw membership instead of clicking the purchase tab. Our app provides configuration and maintenance features for Siemens electrical devices. The app supports multiple devices and the devices have their own specific features, which also need to be supported by our App. The devices can be released to the market only when our app supports those features. Our app release timeline is once in every 4 months. We face a challenge when some of these devices are not able to deliver their features by our release time. So, we would like to make these devices plugins, which can be independently released, without releasing the App every time. The app would, of course, be released once in every 4 months, depending on the common features. I'm not able to find how to release only the plugins within the app, without releasing the entire app. Some one has suggested app extensions, but that does not fit our solution as in some cases, we need continuous polling of data from one or mode devices for minutes or hours, as the app can be used by the user to monitor some of the device values.

I have the paranoid impression that my MacBook Pro, M2 processor is being manipulated from outside. For example: Safari, when opened, displays pages scaled down without my conscious intervention, when clicked on the original size it scales back to normal for a short time and then implodes again; I use the navigation bar on the left excessively, it is my most important tool in Safari, today it was impossible to insert a link using drag & drop, the bar scrolls up or down very quickly; a behavior that I only know from Intel processors. For example, notes, I encrypted an important note, no problem even though photos and links are inserted, yesterday I could no longer open the note, neither on the MacBook Pro nor on the iPhone. When opening the notes app in the terminal on the MacBook Pro, an EXEC_CRASH report was generated. I have a terrible suspicion that the Apple branch in Munich is tampering with the devices and software of users in Germany. Sorry, I'm a big fan of Apple and its products, but this is very spooky. After I got my repaired phone back from the shop, I noticed that iphone mirroring is not functioning like normal. I tried every solutions from deleting the .plist files and reset my phone's connection, but now it seems like the problem comes from the mirroring app itself. After deleting the .plist file and resetting the MBP, the setup for the mirroring app won't let me continue, as clicking the "continue" button only flash the descriptions of the mirroring feature for a slight moment, then return to the same setup UI as before. Is there anyway to completely delete and reinstall this app so that it functions again?

Please create the feature to be able to delete subscription data. I want to delete all my subscription data and buy history from the Icloud/ IPhone. You have all the permissions needed from me to do so. There must be a better way than creating a new apple account on a new email address. And having to shift everything to a new email address to have a clean account regarding subscription data and purchases?!

Hello there, I am a casual game modder for a game called Vintage Story and I had a question about accessing audio input from a Mac. Some other modders in my community developed a proximity chat system that allows players to hear one another via microphone while in physical proximity within the game. It apparently works very well on Windows but unfortunately they don’t seem to know how to get the mod to receive audio input from a Mac. I spoke with them and they are looking for some Mac devs who might be able to help them. Would anyone here be able to shed light on this or know any Mac devs who could?

My imessage has been acting up for 1 month now. It fails to activate my phone number and prefers my email. This is a beta issue Apple support has told me and it needs fixing asap.

I wish to have all spotlight services stopped on my MacBook, however with turning all options off in the settings and also the "Help Apple Improve Search" option, however the option turns back on whenever there is a restart on the laptop as well as background services running. How can I disable this permanently? Hi Apple Team & Everyone, Can someone guide me why sending 'diskutil eraseDisk APFS "WIPED" GPT /dev/disk0' command via terminal to remove/wipe the main physical drive (disk0) is failed? I tried booting into recovery mode, but it still didn’t work. The command returned the following error: Started erase on disk0 Unmounting disk The volume on disk0 couldn't be unmounted because it is in use by process 0 (kernel). Error: -69877: Couldn't open device I understand that we can use Disk Utility (GUI) to unmount and erase the drive. Is it possible to perform this operation via Terminal to erase disk0? Hi, Having a weird issue that I’m noticing on Apple TVs with some apps that are by the same company. I think it’s storing residual user data if if you delete the app and all other apps relating to this. I have even tried deleting every app and reinstalling but we found two apps to be still logged in. Seams like a sandboxing bug and I presume it’s to do with App data stored in the shared app groups. I can only reset the apple tv to remove the user data. The two apps we can see are being persistent is Binge and Kayo by streamotion. We have tried problem solving this in every way imaginable but it’s Interesting that this is allowed to happen on an Apple platform. There is no active user logged into the apple TV with an Apple ID either
