Swift Student Challenge environment selection question (iOS 26)
Hello, I recently submitted my Swift Student Challenge app playground and realized after submission that I accidentally selected Swift Playgrounds as the software to run it, instead of Xcode 26 or later. My project builds and runs successfully in Xcode 26 using the iOS 26 SDK and simulator. However, when opening the same .swiftpm project in the Swift Playgrounds app on iPad, it does not compile because Swift Playgrounds currently only supports up to iOS 18 SDK and does not support iOS 26 APIs. The submission itself is complete, builds correctly in Xcode, and was submitted before the deadline. The incorrect selection of Swift Playgrounds was an honest mistake during the submission process. I wanted to ask whether reviewers are able to run the submission using Xcode 26 in cases like this, or if there is anything I should do. Thank you very much for your time.

Terrible treatment by Apple Dev support team
I paid for my developer account on the 13th of June 2024 (1 week ago). My ID was approved. However, I still don't have access to the account. When I go to check the status of it, it is asking me to pay again. I then tried to email the team, however only received useless, timewasting responses, such as "Please go to developer.apple.com/enroll to enroll for an apple dev account", which I already told them prompts me to pay again and verify my ID again. I then tried to call them, and they said they had to re-verify my ID and would call me back in 10 mins, but I never received a call back. I also couldn't call them again because it wouldn't let me request another call from them. I then emailed them, but still haven't received a response. The next day I tried to request another call from them, during their opening hours at Thursday 4pm AEST, (they are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm AEST see https://developer.apple.com/support/worldwide-telephone-hours/) however it still says that "Phone support is currently unavailable". I tried to email them but now I am getting no responses at all. I tried to contact the apple support through the iMessage chat, however I was only put on call with a lady who was helpful, but couldn't even do anything as she was only generic support. She couldn't even schedule me a call or transfer me to the developer team, even though it was within their working and calling/support hours. I have tried to refund my developer account, but apparently that purchase is "illegible for a refund". This is the treatment I get from apple for paying $100 USD. An entire week of being left on blank. I don't know what to do. I paid 100 bucks for an account which I can't even use, and the support hasn't helped me for an entire week. My emails being left on blank, and I can't even call them. If anyone from apple or anyone that could help me sees this, please contact me ASAP at makrypodisc@ hotmail.com or reply to this thread. iOS 26 Developer Beta Issues
Hi, I’ve recently installed the iOS 26 DB, and I’m experiencing heating issues on my iPhone. Is there a fix to this? Also, is it a bug or a feature, that I can’t remove certain sections in the Photos app rather than rearranging them. Pls lemme know. Thanks.

How do I achieve this function?
So, I'm new to Swift, but I'm trying to get my app idea off the ground and am trying to find a way to create the main module of the app - two users see in real time, where the other one touches their screen. So, each of them see a red dot light up on their screen wherever the other one touched it. Ideally dot should change in diameter based on the pressure of the touch.

Have not received weekly analytics email for over a month
The last "App Store Connect: App Analytics Weekly Summary" email I received was June 3. My apps are still up and the emails are not going to spam. In my Apple Developer settings, "App Analytics Weekly Email Summary" is still set to on (i.e. "Receive a weekly email."). Coincidentally, on June 9 I received an email about updated agreements and guidelines, which I hadn't logged in to accept until today. Is this related, and if so, why should it be? If something else is causing the missing emails, how can that be resolved?

iOS 26 lets you swipe to delete history
Hello. I’m on iOS 26. I’m very protective over my children’s phone and use screen time religiously. ios 26 does have delete history grayed out , but there’s a glitch! You’re able to swipe and delete history under the bookmarks history and tabs section. Also if you type in a website like Walmart, it will bring it up and then allow you to swipe to the left and hit the red delete history and it shows up nowhere in your history! please help me find a fix for this!! i do allow safari but definitely want to be able to check the websites being viewed!!! also - iOS 26 does not let u block apple.comunder your not allowed websites. Which means they can now use Apple Maps and third party browser on Apple.com for example under the simple weather app before I had Apple blocked to where none of this could be accessed through stock apple apps! i appreciate any help!!!

Ghost entry remains in “Allow in Menu Bar” after app deletion — macOS Tahoe beta
I’m experiencing an issue on macOS Tahoe (Developer Beta, July 2025) related to the new “Allow in Menu Bar” section in System Settings. After uninstalling the application Backdrop (developer: Cindori), the entry com.cindori.Backdrop.Wallpaper still appears in the list of apps allowed to show in the menu bar, even though: — The app and all its associated files have been fully deleted. — The LaunchAgents files in ~/Library/LaunchAgents and /Library/LaunchAgents have been removed. — Preferences have been deleted via defaults delete com.cindori.Backdrop and defaults delete com.cindori.Backdrop.Wallpaper. — The system has been restarted. It seems the “Allow in Menu Bar” section keeps phantom references to apps or agents even after complete cleanup. Could you please confirm if this is expected behavior (perhaps for future reactivation) or a bug? Is there any official method or recommended command to permanently remove such residual entries from this list? Thank you very much for your help and clarifications.

Swift Student Challenge 2025 results not out yet
It's Thursday, March 27th 2025 and I'm living in the UK, I have completed my project and submitted it before February 23rd and got the confirmation email and on March 27th, it says results are out but even after I wait for a long time, I still get the same message: We’ve received your submission. We'll send you an email when results are posted. Even after I come back 16 hours into the day which is 4PM GMT, so I want to know where to see the results anywhere else or if it's just a delay.

Can I Use Xcode and iPadOS 18? (and RealityView)
I'm preparing my submission for the Swift Student Challenge, and I have a couple of questions regarding the development environment. Is it allowed to use Xcode to program my scene, or do I have to use Swift Playgrounds? Can I use iPadOS 18 for development? I noticed that Swift Playgrounds currently only supports up to iPadOS 17.5, but I would like to use RealityView, which is only available starting from iPadOS 18. What is it so hard to develop on the Watch?
I am trying to develop a Watch and iOS app as companion. It is beyond stupid how I can not keep the watch connected to Xcode to develop. I have tried all the so-called tricks. Why is this so fragile? The phone is USB connected to my Mac I have tried turning off the wifi on my Mac and have the phone and watch on the same network. Nada I have tried just having everything on the same network. The watch is connected maybe 20% of the time. I have tried creating a hotspot network with my phone. The watch is connected maybe 50% of the time. This is truly an awful experience. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be grateful.

Ongoing Suspicious Remote and Network Access Behavior — Seeking Technical Insight
O v er the past few months, I’ve been experiencing persistent, abnormal behavior on my iPhone. Here's a short timeline: March 2025: Most apps log me out every time I close them. April 2025: Stored passwords suddenly begin failing across apps and websites. May–June 2025: Password recovery emails from Gmail accounts no longer arrive — suggesting that Gmail itself may be compromised or blocked/intercepted. Given the escalation, I ran several diagnostics and extracted system-level logs. Below is a structured summary of findings that point toward potential remote access, network traffic rerouting, and possibly hidden use of Bluetooth or debugging interfaces. ##1 Source: remotectl_dumpstate.txt More than 50 remote lockdown and diagnostic services are listed as active. Notable entries: com.apple.mobile.lockdown.remote.trusted and .untrusted com.apple.mobile.file_relay.shim.remote com.apple.webinspector.shim.remote com.apple.pcapd.shim.remote com.apple.bluetooth.BTPacketLogger.shim.remote com.apple.mobile.insecure_notification_proxy.remote This volume of .shim.remote and diagnostic services appears highly irregular for a non-debug, non-jailbroken device. 2. Skywalk Network Flows and Unusual Routing Source: skywalk.txt Dozens of flowswitch entries across interfaces like: ipsec0-7, pdp_ip0-2, en0-2, awdl0 Apps such as Gmail, ChatGPT, Preferences, and com.apple.WebKit are marked as defunct, yet persist in flow tables. Two specific daemons — replicatord and siriactionsd — appear on nearly every interface, in both QUIC and TCP6 traffic. skywalkctl flow-route shows multiple external IP paths, with flows routed through ipsec7, owned by kernel_task.0 — which could indicate system-level tunneling. 3. System Anomalies and Resource Behavior Inaccessible System Network Tools Source: get-network-info.txt All scutil calls fail (/usr/sbin/scutil does not exist). This blocks access to: DNS configuration (scutil --dns) Proxy and VPN status (scutil --proxy, --nc list) Reachability checks (scutil -r www.apple.com) Key Questions for the Developer Community Are >50 remote .shim.remote services typical on iOS 18.5 (release build)? Or does this suggest tampering, an MDM configuration, or debug provisioning? Could a misconfigured VPN or MDM profile enable persistent flow-switching across multiple interfaces (e.g., ipsec, pdp, awdl) and reroute app traffic such as Gmail? Is it possible for a test or developer certificate to silently side-load a background daemon, or trigger services like pcapd or file_relay, without showing in Profiles or Settings? Has anyone else seen the scutil binary missing or inaccessible on a stock iPhone? Could this be a sign of intentional lockdown or system modification? If anyone on iOS 18.5 / iPhone17,1 can share their remotectl_dumpstate output, I'd like to compare the service count and see if this behavior is reproducible. Enrollment pending since Jan 17 even after submitting additional documents
I applied to the Apple Developer Program on Jan 17 and my enrollment showed pending for several days. I eventually contacted support on the 27th and they told me they needed additional documentation and sent me a link to upload and asked me to email them once I've done so, so that they can get it reviewed quickly. On Jan 27, I uploaded the documents they requested and sent the email confirming they've been uploaded as was requested. After several days, it still says "pending". I spoke with support today and they said they have the documents and there's nothing for me to do other than wait for them to be reviewed and this "could take months". I'm in the process of purchasing a business and need this account so that they can transfer me the mobile app. My due diligence period is ending within a few days and need clarity on this approval asap. Stuck in enrollment since Jan 1st: "Team must speak to you" but no phone option available
Hi everyone, I am writing this out of extreme frustration as I have been unable to complete my Apple Developer enrollment for nearly four weeks. My Enrollment ID is LT5A4XR4UF. I started this process on January 1st. On January 18th, I received an email from Apple stating that the developer team "must speak with me" to move forward. However, I am facing two major blockers that have brought the process to a complete standstill: No Phone Option: When I go to the "Contact Us" page as instructed, there is no option for a phone call—only an email form. I cannot fulfill the request to "speak" with the team if no live channel is provided. No Email Response: I have sent numerous emails over the last several days explaining this situation and providing my contact details, but Apple has not responded to any of them. It has been many days of total radio silence despite this being a time-sensitive enrollment. Details: Enrollment ID: LT5A4XR4UF Region: New Zealand Account Type: Orgnisation Total Delay: 25 days and counting Is there an Apple representative here who can look into why my case has been ghosted? Alternatively, if anyone knows a direct line or a specific time of day when the "Phone" button actually appears for New Zealand developers, please let me know. SDK for Swift Student Challenge 2026 submissions
What OS will a Swift Student Challenge submission run on? I want to use iOS 26 features but the version history for Swift Playground doesn’t show it being updated past the iOS 17.5 SDK. So, can I still use features from the iOS 26 SDK?

Enrollment pending since Jan 17 even after submitting additional documents
I applied to the Apple Developer Program on Jan 17 and my enrollment showed pending for several days. I eventually contacted support on the 27th and they told me they needed additional documentation and sent me a link to upload and asked me to email them once I've done so, so that they can get it reviewed quickly. On Jan 27, I uploaded the documents they requested and sent the email confirming they've been uploaded as was requested. After several days, it still says "pending". I spoke with support today and they said they have the documents and there's nothing for me to do other than wait for them to be reviewed and this "could take months". I'm in the process of purchasing a business and need this account so that they can transfer me the mobile app. My due diligence period is ending within a few days and need clarity on this approval asap. Stuck in enrollment since Jan 1st: "Team must speak to you" but no phone option available
Hi everyone, I am writing this out of extreme frustration as I have been unable to complete my Apple Developer enrollment for nearly four weeks. My Enrollment ID is LT5A4XR4UF. I started this process on January 1st. On January 18th, I received an email from Apple stating that the developer team "must speak with me" to move forward. However, I am facing two major blockers that have brought the process to a complete standstill: No Phone Option: When I go to the "Contact Us" page as instructed, there is no option for a phone call—only an email form. I cannot fulfill the request to "speak" with the team if no live channel is provided. No Email Response: I have sent numerous emails over the last several days explaining this situation and providing my contact details, but Apple has not responded to any of them. It has been many days of total radio silence despite this being a time-sensitive enrollment.
