unzip identifier is not unique?
In Swift I'm using unzip by launching a Process to unzip a file. I added a launchRequirement to the process in order to make sure the executable is code signed by Apple and the identifier is com.apple.unzip. After testing out my code on another machines (both physical and virtual), I found out that in some the identifier is actually com.apple.zipinfo, which broke the SigningIdentifier requirement. It's safe to assume that /usr/bin/unzip can be trusted since it's in a System Integrity Protection (SIP) location, but I'm wondering why this executable has different identifiers?

how to handle setup for NFC without NDEF & PACE and still support iOS 15.0
We have NFC capabilties enabled for our app ID - com.uob.mightyvn but our minimum deployment target is 15.0. We do not have an option deselect PACE from provisioning profile. Hence, the validation is failed for IPA. Invalid entitlement for core nfc framework. The sdk version '18.2' and min OS version '15.0' are not compatible for the entitlement 'com.apple.developer.nfc.readersession.formats' because 'NDEF is disallowed'

Unable to Staple Notarization Ticket – SSL Certificate Mismatch for oscdn.apple.com
Hello Apple Support, While attempting to staple a notarization ticket for our signed installer package, the stapler command fails with Error 65. Upon investigation, we found that connections to oscdn.apple.com present an SSL certificate issued to a248.e.akamai.net, which does not include oscdn.apple.com in its Subject Alternative Name (SAN). This mismatch prevents our macOS environment from validating tickets and completing the stapling process. Steps tried: Verified notarization status (Accepted). DNS flushed, tried different DNS (8.8.8.8, 1.1.1.1). curl to oscdn.apple.com consistently fails with SSL error 60. Please advise on resolving this certificate mismatch. also when I try to run the stapler command with my pkg "xcrun stapler staple/Users/mactest/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg" getting the output like :- Processing: /Users/mactest/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg Could not validate ticket for /Users/mac-test/Desktop/IPMPlus_Macos_Installer.signed.pkg The staple and validate action failed! Error 65. please help Thank you.

Developer ID Notary Service - Outage
I’m unable to notarize the executable and the .app — the status has been showing “In Progress” for over an hour. Upon checking the xcrun logs, it indicates that the submission ID was not received. I also noticed there’s an Apple Developer Service outage reported since October 8, 2025. Could you please let me know when this outage is expected to be resolved? It would be very helpful.

Notarization submission stays In Progress for over 45 minutes
Hello, We are experiencing repeated notarization delays for our macOS app distributed outside the Mac App Store. Current submission ID: 45d7cac0-bd8a-4d48-b886-1cad7649adf4 Previous affected submission ID: ff61de1e-15f5-4bbe-8b34-a91a6f73b978 Issue description: xcrun notarytool submit succeeds and returns a submission ID. xcrun notarytool info keeps returning In Progress for a very long time. In the current case, the submission has remained In Progress for more than 45 minutes. This issue has happened repeatedly across multiple submissions. What we have already checked: We are not using a local proxy for notarization requests. We separated submit and polling in our build script to verify the exact stage. We retried multiple times. We reduced package contents to rule out newly introduced app content. Could someone from Apple please help check whether these submission IDs are stuck in the notarization pipeline, or advise what additional diagnostics we should provide? Thank you.

Code Signing "Invalid", No Reason Given
Hello, At work, we want to release a new version of our cross-platform desktop application this week. Unfortunately, I've had issues getting the dmg signed by the Apple notary service, which will delay the release until it's successful. However, I remade and successfully signed the previously released version (also dmg) with the same credentials, so I know it's not a problem with the file format or my account. I have tried the following to no avail: Lots of Googling Running xcrun notarytool submit with the -v option (verbose) to see more error messages Going to the URL given (appstoreconnect.apple.com/notary/v2/submissions/{submission_id}) and examining the file it downloaded (not much info, let alone helpful info) Contacting Apple developer support over the phone (they couldn't help with this particular issue, since it's "code-level support") The only big change we made this time was switching to Maven for our build tool and dependency management (we previously used Ant with manual dependency management). Does anyone here have any insight? Is there a list of known issues or dependencies that will cause a submission to be invalidated? Or, even better, any way to see why the submission is invalid? Thanks.

DriverKit entitlement policy clarification for development purposes
I am seeking clarification on whether the various driverkit entitlement families (com.apple.developer.driverkit.family.*) are available for development on my local Mac without requesting entitlements from Apple. My experience is inconsistent with public statements made by Apple, and I am wondering if there have been changes to development entitlements as of 2026. I am hoping there is something obvious that I have missed. At WWDC2022 Apple stated that "In MacOS... In fact, all DriverKit family entitlements are now available to use for development." On these very forums, Eskimo himself also suggested this was the case in 2024. However, my own experience has been that in my provisioning profile on my paid developer account, I am not able to obtain com.apple.developer.driverkit.family.networking for the purpose of developing a driver for unsupported hardware. As you can see, I do not have the networking entitlement: { .. "Entitlements" => { ... "com.apple.developer.driverkit" => true "com.apple.developer.driverkit.transport.usb" => [ 0 => { "idVendor" => "*" } ] And there appears to be no mechanism to add these entitlement:

AppGroups data loss after App transfer and App update.
Hi, I just released a new version of an app that was transferred from another developer account. The previous version of this app used the App Groups feature to store some important data, and I would like to retrieve that data. In the new version, I’m using the same bundle identifier and the same App Group ID (which has already been deleted from the original developer account). I also added the App Groups entitlement in the project settings and set the same App Group ID. However, I still cannot access the data in the App Group. From the documentation and issues I’ve found, it seems that an app should still have permission to access the same App Group after being transferred. Did I miss something? Thanks!

All notarization submissions stuck "In Progress"
From what I can tell, it seems that this is something standard that we have to deal with; however, what is annoying and frustrating is I paid good money to have this service work. My application is for important internal use at our company, and this is causing major issues and starting to make me look pretty bad, frankly. On top of that, there is no feedback at all, no reason given. Notarizing darwin binaries... Conducting pre-submission checks for aria.zip and initiating connection to the Apple notary service... Submission ID received id: ec041209-5652-4772-8689-e9e654432da8 Successfully uploaded file id: ec041209-5652-4772-8689-e9e654432da8 path: /Users/shaneholloman/git/sources/uicnz/aria/dist/darwin-arm64/aria.zip Waiting for processing to complete.

The notarization system seems broken
The process has been stuck "In Progress" for 8 days now. We had a scheduled New Year Offer for our software that would run based around this important new update, and obviously we missed it because of this crazy issue. Notarization used to take a few seconds. Now it does not work, neither on my newly set up Mac, nor in my old (completely unchanged) one. My company and finances are totally frozen at this point due to this issue. PLEASE help, look into my actual account and do what is needed!

com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration entitlement missing from manually downloaded Distribution/InHouse Provisioning Profile
We are implementing an exam mode feature for an educational app used in schools, which restricts device usage during assessments. We requested the Automatic Assessment Configuration capability, received approval from Apple, and confirmed that the capability is listed as Assigned under our App ID in the Apple Developer portal. What works: When using a Development Provisioning Profile (downloaded from the portal), the entitlement key com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration is included in the profile, and our exam lock feature works correctly in development testing. The problem: When we manually download a Distribution (InHouse/Enterprise) Provisioning Profile from the portal — even after creating a new one — the entitlement key com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration is not present in the profile. verified this by running: security cms -D -i YourProfile.mobileprovision The key appears in the Development PP but is absent in the manually downloaded Distribution PP, despite the App ID showing the capability as Assigned. Note: When using Xcode's automatic signing, the generated profile does include the entitlement correctly. However, due to our organization's internal security policy, we are required to use manually managed provisioning profiles and cannot use Xcode automatic signing for distribution builds. Questions: Is the com.apple.developer.automatic-assessment-configuration entitlement intentionally restricted to Development profiles only, or is this a known portal issue with managed capabilities not being embedded in manually created Distribution profiles? Is it technically supported and intended to use AEAssessmentSession in an InHouse (Enterprise) distribution environment? If InHouse is not supported, is the correct path to test internally via Development profiles and then submit through App Store distribution to include this entitlement in production? Any guidance on the correct technical direction would be greatly appreciated.

FamilyControls distribution pending for 14+ days and not sure about approach
Hi, I'm building a wellness app called that helps users manage their phone usage based on their consumption, using the Screen Time API. I need the Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement to ship it. I've already submitted multiple requests across all my bundle IDs, but due to the lack of confirmation feedback after each submission, I may have submitted more than needed. Regardless, the oldest request submitted was on April 22nd (exactly 2 weeks ago), without any reply or change. Is this normal ? Also, I came across a forum post (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/821964?answerId=885672022#885672022) suggesting that the entitlement is now scoped at the team level rather than per bundle ID, and that I should resubmit a single request. I want to do the right thing here but I'm not sure whether to resubmit or wait and I don't want to make the situation worse than it already is. We're about a month away from our launch date and this is the last remaining blocker for both TestFlight and App Store submission. Any guidance on next steps, or help prioritizing this, would mean a lot. Thanks so much,

Family Controls entitlement not applied to new Shield extension
Our team already has Family Controls (Distribution) entitlement approved for the main app and existing Screen Time extensions. We recently added a new Shield Configuration extension to show a custom on-device shield UI using ManagedSettingsUI. It is only used for UI rendering and does not collect or send any user data. However, the entitlement does not seem to be applied to this new extension yet, and we are blocked from proceeding with builds. We have already contacted support but haven’t received an update yet. Case ID: 102881099623 Could someone please help to apply/sync for the Family Controls distribution entitlement or guide us on the next steps? Happy to share app details privately if needed. Thanks.

Support for Non-Team ID prefixes on the Mac App Store
My iOS version of the app is available on the App Store with a non-team ID prefix for its bundle ID. It has been available there for a long time and I am not sure why I chose a custom prefix for it. The Mac version of the same app is available on the Mac App Store with a different bundle ID and with a prefix that matches my team ID. I am currently looking to "merge" both apps into a single bundle ID. The plan is to stop using the current Mac app and release a new one as a universal app under the existing bundle ID for the iOS app. Unfortunately, it looks like that the Mac App Store does not actually allow any submissions that have a non-team ID for a prefix. I know that it is a very specific case but any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks.

I have also filed support case 102876329587. Both submissions remain In Progress with no transition to Accepted or Invalid. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
