White border appears during app transition despite full-opacity 1024x1024 icon (SVG and PNG tested)
Hi everyone 👋 I’m a new iOS developer working on my first app and I’ve run into a frustrating visual bug involving my app icon during the launch/close transition. Issue: When I use Icon Composer (the new tool introduced for iOS 26) to generate my app icon, I consistently see a thin white border or “fringe” around the icon only during the transition animation (when the app opens or closes). It disappears once the animation ends. What I tested and confirmed: • I exported the exact same design directly from Adobe Illustrator as a 1024×1024 PNG, fully opaque, RGB color mode, background color filling the entire canvas (no transparency, no borders, no rounded corners). • When I place that exported PNG directly into the AppIcon asset catalog in Xcode, the icon renders perfectly — no white fringe appears, just a slightly darker shade of blue during transitions (expected and acceptable). • But when I generate the icon using Icon Composer, the white edge always appears, even if I disable effects, use full coverage layers, or only keep a flat color layer. Notes: • Tested on iOS 26 (latest beta) using Xcode 16. • The issue seems specific to Icon Composer’s export format or metadata — maybe it’s not stripping alpha correctly or something related to the squircle mask? • I followed all recommended specs: 1024×1024 px, PNG, sRGB, no transparency, exported from Illustrator at 72ppi with solid background. Even tested without the logo, just the icon made with icon composer Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Icon Composer exports? Is there an official recommendation to avoid this during transitions or should I simply avoid Icon Composer for production icons for now and stick with Illustrator / Figma exports? Thanks so much Here’s a visual example:

Contact UISearchBar missing.
Feedback id: FB16140301 Below are the steps to reproduce the bug in Contacts app. Open Contacts app. Now search for a contact and didSelect that contact. Now slightly hold swipe right(from view's center leading position) as to pop the view but not fully swipe, now release the finger and you can see the back nav bar button missing and tapping the back button position also doesn't perform dismiss action. Now do fully swipe from left to right to dismiss(pop) current view. Here you can see the search bar missing.-> That's the bug.

Support for corner-shape?
Considering how important smooth/continuous corners are for Apple throughout their various native platforms (and hardware), can we expect Safari to soon adopt this CSS feature? It's already live in Chrome https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Properties/corner-shape For those who are unfamiliar with smooth corners and how Apple uses them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YElVQqNwrJ4&t=110s

Liquid Glass buttons are a disaster!
Does anyone know if Apple is addressing the issue with buttons. They break the fundamental clarity stressed by Human guidelines by exposing an area around an element that is to be tapped. If that area is then defined as a part of the button it should by default then respond to the tap. But it doesn't. My app when you tap on those elements before Liquid Glass ALWAYS RESPONDS. With Liquid Glass, a glancing tap will get the requisite reaction but doesn't trigger the event it should. Also it's confusing that Liquid Glass but not a show stopper that Liquid Glass elements that are disabled respond by flashing at all instead being visible/inert even though nothing happens. It's unnecessary and confusing eye candy. How did the folly of this get passed Apple's UI team and when is it gonna be rectified. I've tried a number of ways to fix it and it just makes the buttons look like crap and then they become more opaque and stuff. Does anyone have a fix for this or is anyone aware of when a fix for this will be released as a part of an OS update? It could be as simple as a setting that defaults to on that says the area/circumference of the circle button (that you NEVER asked for) fully responds to touch events of the target area and it should default to YES!!

Suggestion: Add App Notification Filter Slider to Notification Center
Add slim horizontal bar at the top of the Notification Center that displays the apps with current notifications, along with a badge showing the number of notifications for each app. Each app icon is clickable, allowing users to filter the Notification Center and view only the notifications from the selected app. The first button in the slider should be “All” to show all notifications, followed by app icons (Excluding notifications summary) This bar Appears only when notifications are from more than one app. Hidden if there’s only one app in Notification Center (no need to filter). Benefits: Better organization: Helps users quickly identify which apps have unread notifications. Reduced distraction: Allows focusing on notifications from one app at a time. Easier navigation: Especially helpful when notifications from multiple apps are mixed together by time. Faster interaction: Saves time by letting users jump directly to the relevant group of grouped or multiple notifications.

Liquid Glass App Icons without Icon Composer
We have found that on iOS 26 beta some of our app icons built from an Xcode 16 asset catalog containing a single 1024x1024 .png file have a Liquid Glass effect applied to them while others have not. The documentation states that If you choose not to use Icon Composer, you can still use an AppIcon asset catalog in your project containing individual app icon images and let the system apply the Liquid Glass material. and If you prefer, you can take advantage of the system’s automatically generated treatment that is applied to all app icons. Is there any insight into how the system treats app icons that have not yet been updated with Icon Composer?

Icon Composer missing margins
I'm trying out Icon Composer Version 1.0 (27.4). I imported a simple logo and sized it in the outer circle. The icon appears good in the Icon Composer. But when I export the file and use it for my app icon it seems to be missing a margin or padding that other native application icons have. Am i supposed to be adding my own padding to these resulting icons or am I building them incorrectly? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

iOS 26 UIBarButtonItem badge
I'm using the new badge feature for UIBarButtonItem, but it's not working properly for me when transitioning between view controllers. I have two view controller with various right bar button items. In the first view controller the first button (the one with the bell) has a badge with a numeric count. The second view controller has the same button but in the third position. When I push the second view controller, it seems that the badge maintains also the old position, so I see two buttons with badges instead of one. What can I do to fix this?

Issues with my APN tokens
Hey guys, I made a app that features push notificaions, and I keep having problems setting them up. It asks permissions, and then it says that it cannot get the APN token after 10 seconds, and I am positive that I have enabled Push Notificaions in the provisioning profile in Xcode. Can anyone help me fix this issue?

Liquid Glass material behaviour question
I have two views I've applied Liquid Glass to in Swift UI. I've noticed that depending on the height of the view the material changes and I'm not sure why. See the attached screenshot. Both views add the liquidGlass style in the same way but behave very differently on the same background. Ideally I'd like them to look the same as the bottom one. Is that the same as the clear style?

MagSafe 4 LED physics
The MagSafe 3 cable is an amazing piece of engineering, showing charged as green and charging as amber. Please consider that "carging," being amber and "full" or "reached charging limit," is green, but for a high end company, you need to make the MagSafe wire more useful. A software MagSafe update, like macOS 26.5 was very noticeable for me, as i have the charging limit set on 80%. A new MagSafe 4 would be a simple MagSafe 3 update, creating MagSafe 4, introducing a yellow colour, to mimic macOS window controls. It is very simple, as both red and green diodes are already in MagSafe 3, light physics tells us that red+green=yellow. All we have to do is turn on both of those LED diodes, and we have yellow. MagSafe 4 should have the following: Amber:0%-50% Yellow:50%-90% Green: 90% + or reached charging limit Pulsing Amber: overheating or critical issue with power cut off Pulsing yellow: slow charger, under 30w for macbook air and under 70w for macbook pro. This should be very simple as its a few lines of code.

Guideline 4.8 Design Login servies
I upload one of my app on app store connect then I get Rejection there it gave me this message that guideline 4.8 design login services. how to solve this issue on app store Can you please guide me about it. This the message i receive from app store: The app uses a third-party login service, but does not appear to offer an equivalent login option with the following features: The login option limits data collection to the user’s name and email address. The login option allows users to keep their email address private as part of setting up their account. The login option does not collect interactions with the app for advertising purposes without consent. Next Steps Revise the app to offer an equivalent login option that meets all of the above requirements. If the app already includes a login option that meets the above requirements, reply to App Review in App Store Connect, identify which login option meets the requirements, and explain why it meets the requirements. Additionally, it would be appropriate to update the screenshots in the app's metadata to accurately reflect the revised app once another login service has been implemented.

Should we design for Liquid Glass on visionOS?
Liquid Glass was introduced as a universal design language for all platforms, but isn't supported by visionOS 26 beta. For a small team creating a visionOS app targeted for release in fall 2026, should we focus our design work on Liquid Glass, or for the existing visionOS design language?

Liquid Glass Navigation Bar
The system provided liquid glass background looks terrible with my companies navigation bar background color. The navigation background color is not up for discussion and cannot be changed. The clear liquid glass style looks great and I can apply that to buttons I add to the navigation bar, but that doesn't effect the system provided back button. I would prefer to maintain the default back button functionality. Please make it possible to set the liquid glass style that the system provides for navigation bar items.

Add a “Close All” button on iPhone background Apps
Hello Apple Team, I’d like to request a feature that allows users to close all background apps at once on iPhones. Currently, closing each app individually can be time-consuming, especially when many are running. A “Close All” button would greatly improve user experience and efficiency. Thank you for considering this suggestion!
