Will the call screening feature be available in all iOS 26 capable iPhones?
I'm pretty excited for the all new iOS 26 redesign, but what I'm most excited for is the call screening feature to avoid unwanted calls. I downloaded the developer's beta on my secondary device to report bugs, but call screening doesn't work on it even though it's turned on. I already sent a feedback report, but I'm not sure if it's just a beta bug or that my iPhone won't support it. I haven't found much info about it. It's a 2nd gen SE. Thanks.

AlarmKit can we automatically acknowledge the alarm or set a time period the alarm should alert for
My use case is a Repeat Timer app. The user can configure a repeating timer, say: 8 minutes with 3 sets So I would like to configure either 3 alarms (8mins, 16mins, 24mins) or a repeating alarm (8mins every 3 mins) BUT... I would like the first and second alarms to break through but only for 5 seconds for example, and then stop (so the user doesn't need to tap the screen to silence the alarm). I don't think this is possible after reading the API docs, but am asking the question anyway. Thanks for any advice or guidance here, and happy WWDC!

How to block large lists of domains (1000+) using Screen Time API?
I'm developing a parental control app that needs to block adult/18+ websites using the Screen Time API. I've run into scaling issues with 'ManagedSettings.webContent.blockedByFilter`. Environment: iOS 18.x, real device (iPhone) ManagedSettings framework Screen Time permissions granted Current Behavior: The Question: Commercial parental control apps successfully block tens of thousands of domains. What API or architecture should I be using to scale beyond 30-50 domains? Approaches I'm considering: Safari Content Blockers (limited to Safari only) Multiple ManagedSettingsStore instances Network Extension / DNS filtering A different Screen Time API approach What's the recommended way to block large domain lists (1000-60000+) across all apps and browsers? Any guidance appreciated! //33 domains - Works perfectly let blockedSites: Set<WebDomain> = [ WebDomain(domain: "example1.com"), WebDomain(domain: "example2.com"), // ... 31 more domains ] store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .specific(blockedSites) // All 33 domains blocked successfully // 101 domains - Complete failure (no domains blocked at all) let blockedSites: Set<WebDomain> = [ WebDomain(domain: "example1.com"), // ... 100 more domains ] store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .specific(blockedSites) // No errors thrown, but ZERO domains are blocked

Associated Domains and location of the AASA file when “service”=”Authsrv”
We are planning to use our internal IdP (PingFederate) for authentication of end users in their iOS apps using ASWebAuthenticationSession. Initial tests are successful, but the user is prompted for every login (and logouts) with a consent dialogue box: “AppName” wants to use “internal domain-name” to Sign In This allows the app and website to share information about you. Cancel Continue” Let’s say that our top-level domain is “company.no”, where our IdP is placed at “idp.company.com”. I have seen examples where the Associated domains entitlement points to the idp as a webserver for serving the JSON output AASA file. In this case that would be: authsrv: idp.company.com Anyone with experience implementing this structure with the IdP as webserver for serving the JSON output? Our problem is that trying to use the IdP as webserver for this purpose is that it is very complicated to modify the IdP’s webserver configuration. Also, this modification needs to be re-done every time we need to upgrade the IdP. My question is therefore also related to the options of which webserver to install the AASA file on. Has anyone installed the file on a generic webserver on the toplevel domain like “webserver.company.com” ?

Presumably its not possible to use declared age range in an extension?
Its possible to add the Declared Age Range entitlement to extensions, in particular I'm looking at a Notification Service Extension. However the DAR requestAgeRange() API takes a view controller as a parameter. Presumably therefore its not possible for a notification service extension to obtain the age range itself directly? Yes the extension can read it from shared groups if the app reads it and set it into the group. However the scenario I'm thinking of is this: App runs and gets the age range. Sets its functionality accordingly. The server sends pushes which are intercepted by the notification service extension, the extension adjusts its functionality based upon what the app wrote to shared groups The user changes the age range setting, but the app doesn't run. The extension keeps receiving pushes but its functionality is now out of sync with the age range as its not able to obtain it directly

How does an app like Jomo access Screen Time data on parent devices (not just child devices)?
Hi all, I'm working on a Screen Time-based app with gamification features for families, where both children and parents interact and compare usage stats. The endgoal of the app is to motivate for less screentime or more use of productive apps. I'm testing Apple's Family Controls API, which works great for getting data from child devices. However, this API doesn't support fetching screen time data on the parent device itself. Apps like Jomo appear to provide insights and even their own "calculations" on screen time usage directly on the parent device. I have tested a few apps that showed both the usage data for my children and myself and did some nice things with it like creating stats. I've gone through the documentation and APIs extensively, but I can’t figure out how they’re doing this. As far as I can tell the only solution would be a custom VPN or MDM. However as far as I can tell Jomo for example does not use either of those. My questions are: Am I missing some API Are apps like Jomo using private APIs which they have been granted access to from Apple? Is there any way to access similar data on a parent device without using MDM or VPN? Any guidance or clarification would be greatly appreciated!

apple-app-site-association 403
Hi There, hopefully someone can help me here, we weren’t aware but our universal links stopped working sometime last year, as they are not used often on the apps, it wasn’t noticed. We checked all the elements and this is the situation: Our apple-app-site-association file is located at https://ourdomain.com.au/.well-known/apple-app-site-association And it is accessible and can be downloaded. We have Associated Domain services enabled for our app Bundle Id: au.com.identifier.app The Entitlements.plist in our app contains the list of associated domains - the second is the full url, the portal won't let me write it as such as it's not the real address. But links for the first two, …ourdomain.com.au domains don’t work Request https://ourdomain.com.au/.well-known/apple-app-site-association downloads the file and returns status code:403 While checking the availability with https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/ourdomain.com.au we get the error: ourdomain.com.au: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) Going directly to the hosted website: https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/ourdomain-prod-ourdomainwebsite.azurewebsites.net Returns the json: { "activitycontinuation": { "apps": [ "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.app", "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.server.adhoc", "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.server.dev" ] }, "applinks": { "apps": [], "details": [ { "appID": "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.app", "paths": [ "/m/" ] }, { "appID": "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.server.adhoc", "paths": [ "/mt/" ] }, { "appID": "99ABCD88XXX.au.com.identifier.server.dev", "paths": [ "/md/*" ] } ] } } It appears to be something in the redirect from the url but debugging shows nothing obvious. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Siri mispronouncing app name
The name of our app is a portmanteau, and Siri is getting it slightly wrong. It’s putting the emphasis on the second and fourth syllables instead of the first and third. Kind of like if someone starting singing /tinˈeɪʒd muˌtent/. It’s just wrong enough to be funny. It still recognizes the correct name when someone says “hey Siri”. We’ve already tried adding CFBundleSpokenName and INAlternativeAppNamePronunciationHint to info.plist, but neither is changing how Siri says it. We can’t put it in AppIntentVocabulary.plist because we don’t know the key path for the app name.

Universal Link always shows “Open App A?” banner instead of redirecting automatically
We have a login flow where the user authenticates in Safari, and at the end of the process the authentication server redirects back to our app using a Universal Link. On most devices, the app opens automatically without any confirmation banner. However, on several iPads, Safari always shows the “Open App A?” banner after the redirect. The user must tap Open every time. Other devices running the same iOS version do not show this issue. Expected Flow (working devices): Start authentication Safari login Authentication server redirects using a Universal Link App A opens automatically Problematic Flow (several iPads): Start authentication Safari login Authentication server redirects using a Universal Link Safari shows “Open App A?” confirmation banner User must tap Open App A starts Questions: Is this a known issue in iOS? Or is this expected behavior under certain conditions (i.e., is there a specific Safari/iOS specification that causes this banner to appear)? Is there any way to prevent Safari from showing the “Open App A?” banner and allow automatic redirection? *This issue did not occur on iOS 16, but it started appearing after updating to iOS 17. Devices : iPad 9th Gen/iPad 10th Gen

Can ManagedSettingsStore() block the app that configures it — and how to prevent it?
Hi everyone, I’m working with the ManagedSettingsStore API for managing Screen Time restrictions and I have a specific question: Is it possible for an app to block itself using ManagedSettingsStore() — for example, by applying an application category restriction or setting a specific block on its own bundle ID? If so, what strategies or best practices are recommended to avoid accidentally blocking the app itself while applying restrictions to other apps or categories? I haven’t found any official documentation confirming whether the system prevents self-blocking automatically or if this is something developers need to manage explicitly. Thanks for any clarification or advice you can provide!

Screen Time App Extensions Capabilities
I am building a screen time management app. It has the main app target, and then three extensions - those are the four targets in Xcode. The three extensions are: Shield Device Activity Monitor Device Activity Report Extension I requested "Family Controls (Distribution)" capability from Apple for the main app target / bundle ID, and it got approved. Do I need it for the extensions too? Because previously I had "Family Controls (Development)" for the extensions...

Apps remain blocked after being unselected
Hi everyone, We're using the react-native-device-activity package to implement app blocking via Apple's Screen Time API. The blocking functionality works well: when the user selects apps and taps "Done," those apps get blocked as expected. However, we're facing an issue with unblocking apps that the user later unselects. Even after the user unchecks some apps and taps "Done" again, those previously selected (now unselected) apps remain blocked and still show the shield.

Twilio Voice iOS SDK: callInvite is missing when accepting incoming call from CallKit or React Native
I'm integrating Twilio Voice (v6.12.1) into my React Native app (using Swift bridging for iOS) and have implemented full VoIP, PushKit, and CallKit support for incoming calls. ✅ What works: Incoming calls trigger the VoIP push and display the full-screen CallKit interface (or fallback UI). Decline Call works as expected. Call logs and events print correctly. ❌ Problem: When I try to accept the call using the CallKit Accept button or React Native fallback UI, I consistently get: ❌ [TwilioVoiceModule] answerCall() callInvite is missing. I also noticed that the console logs for answerCall() are being printed three times in a row, even though the accept button is only pressed once. Additionally in the first time console, answerCall() CallInvite found, accepting... 🔍 Observations: The callInvite is properly received when the VoIP push arrives. But when answerCall() is triggered, callInvite becomes nil. This happens in CallKit accept, RN UI accept, and even notification banner accept. 📦 How it's set up (summarized): PushKit Registration – via PKPushRegistry in AppDelegate.swift VoIP push handling – forwards payload to TwilioVoiceModule.handleIncomingPush() CallKit integration – uses CXProviderDelegate to report and handle accept actions JS Bridge – emits acceptCallAction to JS React Native calls TwilioVoiceModule.answerCall(uuid, callSid) In answerCall() method: self.callInvite is nil – so call cannot be accepted. Attaching the link to view the relevant code: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15pNjKrfk954OaotpMIEh3xQUtst---1K45DBXoYctGM/edit?usp=sharing 💡 Call Accept Flow (iOS): VoIP Push → TwilioVoiceModule.handleIncomingPush() Twilio SDK creates callInvite reportNewIncomingCall() triggers CallKit UI On accept: CXAnswerCallAction → emits event to JS RN calls TwilioVoiceModule.answerCall(uuid, callSid) Problem: callInvite is already nil ❓ What I'm trying to understand: Why is callInvite becoming nil before answerCall() is called? Why are the logs showing the answerCall() call 3 times? Is there a race condition or multiple accept triggers? Should I ensure callInvite is accepted only once across all 3 accept paths? ** 💬 Any help would be appreciated.** 📱 Environment: React Native 0.78.x iOS 17+ Swift bridging with TwilioVoiceModule.swift Twilio Voice SDK 6.12.1 PushKit + CallKit + react-native-callkeep

Request for Guidance on Deployment to Production Environment
Hello Team, We are currently experiencing a challenge deploying our application to the production environment. This is because the previous deployment was done using an old account, whereas we have now created a new organizational account that we are using to deploy the updated and modified version of the application. Kindly advise on the best practice to resolve this and proceed with the deployment.

Pass DeviceActivitySelection to DeviceActivityMonitorExt
Hi I'm trying to build a screen time app and the Apple docs and APIs really leave something to be desired. I want to block apps on a schedule. That's it. To do this I need my DeviceActivityMonitorExt to know which apps to block. I need to somehow pass a DeviceActivitySelection from the main app into this DeviceActivityMonitorExt. How can I do this?
