Waiting for Review for 6+ days on an app UPDATE. Is this normal??

Hi all, I submitted an update on 8/4/26 and it has been sitting in “Waiting for Review” with no movement.

App ID: 6758522939 Version: 2.0.0 Platform: iOS Status: Waiting for Review since August 4th, 2026

There are no messages in Resolution Center or outstanding metadata requests, and nothing flagged on my end. My previous submissions have moved much faster than this. Especially updates, which have all taken less than a day… I have already contacted App Review through the contact form. I am mainly trying to understand whether this is the broader issue people have been seeing through 2026, or something specific to my submission that I should be looking at. If you have submitted in the last week or two, how long did yours sit in the queue before moving to In Review? Any patterns you have noticed around app category or routing would be helpful too. Thanks.

Our app has been in the waiting for review status for more than 7 days. We have not received any errors or messages requiring correction from Apple. Unfortunately, this waiting period is not an interesting procedure.

I’ve been waiting almost 2 weeks. I was worried that I did something wrong but it just seems the reviewers are busy

Update: I got a reply, and it was a bug fix submission grace option, which would let me push this new version to the app store and promise to fix the issue on the very next update. I promptly responded, but now have not heard back for over a day. If anyone has experience with this, can you please let me know how long this takes??
