iPhone 13 Pro not charging or recognized via USB-C after iOS 26 update (works in DFU mode)
Hi everyone, Since updating my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 26, the device stopped charging and is not recognized by my Mac when connected via USB-C to Lightning cable. I’ve run extensive diagnostics: • Tried multiple USB-C cables and ports on the Mac — all work with other iPhones and devices. • The iPhone charges fine using a wall charger. • It also works perfectly with USB-A to Lightning cables — charges and appears in Finder. • I performed a full DFU restore and downgrade to iOS 18, without restoring from backup — the issue persists. • Interestingly, the iPhone is detected by the Mac in DFU mode via USB-C, which suggests the USB-C port is physically fine. This leads me to believe the issue is with the USB-C stack in normal iOS runtime, possibly triggered or corrupted by the iOS 26 update. It’s not hardware-related, as data and power lines work in DFU, and USB-A connections work normally. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to fully reset or reflash the USB-C firmware at a lower level than DFU? Or does this require AST2-level diagnostics from Apple? Thanks in advance!

Satellite communications
I have a question about the operating procedure of the iPhone defaulting into satellite service. Post major storm we noticed that my phones would not allow us to connect to the satellite backup communication because the iPhone was still getting intermittent cell service even though the service that they were receiving via tower signal was that of the tower that had no connectivity (the individual cell tower may have been producing cell SIGNAL, but their ability to transfer data threw microwave or landline was terminated ). Previously, I asked if they could find a fix so that even if the phone is receiving what it is some or very little signal, you could opted to defer to settle in a situation such as this. When left in it’s current programming the phone will not make contact with either communication source leading it to be useless.

Updated my Apple Watch to watchOS 26 beta to test it — can't pair it now after downgrading iPhone
Hi everyone, I updated my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26 beta and my Apple Watch to watchOS 26 beta because I wanted to test out the new features. After a few days of testing, I found the iOS 26 beta too unstable and laggy for daily use, so I downgraded my iPhone back to iOS 18.5 stable. Now my Apple Watch is still running watchOS 26 beta. I tried resetting it to factory settings, hoping that would help, but now I can’t pair it back to my iPhone because it requires iOS 26 again — which I don’t want to reinstall and don't want to use it till it's stable. Is there any way to downgrade my Apple Watch back to a stable version or somehow pair it again with my iPhone running iOS 18.5? Thanks in advance for any help!

Severe Keyboard Lag in Roblox on iOS 18.4 (Resolves When Low Power Mode is On)
Hi, I’m experiencing a serious keyboard lag issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 18.4. When playing games in Roblox, if I try to type in the in-game chat using the default iOS keyboard, the typing becomes extremely laggy and drops a lot of frames. However, if I turn on Low Power Mode, the issue disappears completely, and typing becomes smooth again. This suggests that the problem may be related to background optimization or system performance handling in iOS 18.4. Open Roblox and start any game with chat input and Try typing in the chat box using the iOS keyboard than Observe serious lag and frame drops and Enable Low Power Mode. The lag disappears instantly. • iPhone 15 Pro Max • iOS version: 18.4 • Keyboard: Default iOS keyboard • Issue only occurs when Low Power Mode is OFF Please investigate this behavior. It’s very disruptive during gameplay and seems linked to performance scaling or system optimization. Thanks! My English is not very good and these are the ones I edited using Google Translate.

Smarter Wi-Fi Prioritization for Energy Efficiency.
Hey everyone, I've got a feature suggestion for iOS that I believe would significantly benefit users by optimizing battery life and data usage through more intelligent Wi-Fi prioritization. While iOS already favors Wi-Fi over cellular when available (due to its lower power consumption), there's room to enhance this behavior with more granular user control. My proposal is to introduce an explicit option: "Prioritize Wi-Fi for Energy Saving." How It Could Work Global Toggle (Settings > Wi-Fi or Settings > Battery): A simple switch that makes the iPhone more "aggressive" in maintaining a Wi-Fi connection. When active, it would reduce the likelihood of switching to cellular data during minor Wi-Fi signal fluctuations. This ensures the device stays on the more energy-efficient Wi-Fi network for longer periods, even if cellular signal is strong. This could also subtly influence Wi-Fi Assist, making it less eager to use cellular when Wi-Fi is slightly weak but still usable, prioritizing energy savings. Per-Network Option (Settings > Wi-Fi > [Network Name] > "i" icon): Adding an option like "Prioritize This Network for Energy Saving" within individual Wi-Fi network settings. This would be perfect for trusted networks like home or work, where users want to ensure maximum battery life. The iPhone would then make an extra effort to remain connected to that specific Wi-Fi network. Integration with Low Power Mode: For seamless optimization, this feature could automatically be enabled or its behavior enhanced when Low Power Mode is active, aligning perfectly with the goal of battery conservation. Key Benefits Extended Battery Life: By consistently favoring the more energy-efficient Wi-Fi radio, we minimize cellular power draw. Reduced Cellular Data Use: Helps prevent accidental or unnecessary shifts to cellular data, saving precious megabytes. Greater User Control: Gives users who prioritize battery longevity and data limits a direct tool to fine-tune their device's network behavior. This feature would be a valuable enhancement to iOS, offering users more control and a genuinely optimized experience.

Disk Utility / diskutil Partition Freezes
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'm encountering a persistent issue while attempting to create a new partition on my Mac, and I'm hoping to get some assistance or insights from anyone who might have faced a similar problem. Issue Description: I'm trying to partition my internal drive. I initially used Disk Utility.app for this purpose. The partitioning process starts, but consistently freezes when it reaches approximately 10-20% completion. I've left it running overnight (for over 9 hours), but there was no progress, and the application remained unresponsive at that percentage. After several attempts with Disk Utility, I decided to try using the diskutil commands in Terminal to see if that would yield a different result. I used commands such as diskutil apfs resizeContainer and diskutil partitionDisk. Unfortunately, these commands also result in the same behavior: the process starts, reports progress up to about 10-20%, and then completely freezes without any further output or completion, requiring me to force-quit Terminal. Question regarding ethernet over USB-C
Hello, I have a question regarding the ethernet-over-USB-C stack within iOS/iPadOS. It seems that when manually assigning an IP on this interface within iOS, the IP is stored. Therefore, when disconnecting (the USB-C cable) and reconnecting to another device for a subsequent ethernet connection, the iOS device will always default to the previously assigned IP address (obviously, this isn't the case if the other end is a DHCP server). So, within the iPhone's Ethernet-over-USB-C driver, I was curious if iOS just keeps the assignment based on the MAC of the local USB-C interface, or is stored information tied to some other identifier? Is there a way to override this behavior? Thank you

tvOS 26 issue: Please bring back passcode-locked apps — disappearing apps and shared restrictions make Apple TV frustrating for families
I recently updated to tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and was disappointed to find that apps I restrict no longer appear at all. In earlier versions, restricted apps would still be visible and simply prompt for a passcode — this was much more convenient for adults in the household. Now, if I restrict apps for my children, they disappear completely. To use them again, I have to go deep into settings, turn restrictions off, and even recreate the passcode each time, which is frustrating and impractical for daily use. I also tried adding a Kids user account, but most restrictions still apply system-wide. Only the Apple TV app behaves differently between users. This makes switching between parent and child accounts nearly pointless for managing access. Please consider one or both of the following: 1. Bring back the passcode-on-launch behavior for restricted apps (instead of hiding them). 2. Give each user their own isolated settings environment, like how profiles work on iOS/iPadOS or even a fresh Apple TV—this way, restrictions, home screen, and app access could be personalized. Families are a huge part of the Apple TV audience, and these recent changes have made it much harder to use the device in a shared household. Thank you!

While the app works fine on iOS 18 simulators (iPad Pro/Air), it fails to launch on iOS 26-based iPad simulators with the following error: "libswiftWebKit.dylib library is not loaded"...... SquareReaderSDK Reason: tried: '/Users/username/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectnamePOS-buqsthxxbyqalydvfpxruhzgmymf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/libswiftWebKit.dylib (Detailed logs are shared below.) Is there a known fix for this issue, or is a resolution expected in an upcoming beta release? dyld[34660]: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib Referenced from: <BA066DAA-6AD6-3622-9A40-08C1600B0DC6> /Users/username/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/3F807800-D684-4398-89DC-1AEC1747A99A/data/Containers/Bundle/Application/5327A260-4241-48F6-85C2-A7E0E0F152E3/Projectname.app/Frameworks/SquareReaderSDK.framework/SquareReaderSDK Reason: tried: '/Users/username/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectnamePOS-buqsthxxbyqalydvfpxruhzgmymf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/system/introspection/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file, not in dyld cache), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file) Library not loaded: /usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib Referenced from: <BA066DAA-6AD6-3622-9A40-08C1600B0DC6> /Users/username/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/3F807800-D684-4398-89DC-1AEC1747A99A/data/Containers/Bundle/Application/5327A260-4241-48F6-85C2-A7E0E0F152E3/Projectname.app/Frameworks/SquareReaderSDK.framework/SquareReaderSDK Reason: tried: '/Users/username/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectnamePOS-buqsthxxbyqalydvfpxruhzgmymf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/system/introspection/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such file), '/usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib' (no such dyld config: DYLD_SHARED_CACHE_DIR=/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Caches/dyld/24F74/com.apple.CoreSimulator.SimRuntime.iOS-26-0.23A5260l/ DYLD_ROOT_PATH=/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=/Users/username/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectnamePOS-buqsthxxbyqalydvfpxruhzgmymf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator:/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/system/introspection DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/libLogRedirect.dylib:/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/libBacktraceRecording.dylib:/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/libMainThreadChecker.dylib:/usr/lib/libRPAC.dylib:/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/libViewDebuggerSupport.dylib DYLD_FRAMEWORK_PATH=/Users/username/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/ProjectnamePOS-buqsthxxbyqalydvfpxruhzgmymf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator DYLD_FALLBACK_FRAMEWORK_PATH=/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/System/Library/Frameworks DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH=/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/iOS_23A5260l/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 26.0.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib```

tvOS 26 issue: Please bring back passcode-locked apps — disappearing apps and shared restrictions make Apple TV frustrating for families
Thank you!
