How to switch in-app-purchases from sandbox to production?
Hello all, I am new to implementing payments in an app, and thus completely at sea here. I have created a small app that I have set a one-time (non-consumable) payment for a premium version. In the Xcode simulator (on all platforms) and on any physical test devices I have tried, the payment works as expected. I have a sandbox account and various test accounts, both dummy and actual real accounts (friends and family). Everywhere everything works perfectly fine. Yet, when I submit for review I get a rejection with this contents: We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, the app still failed to load the in-app purchase. Please review the details and resources below and complete the next steps. Review device details: Device type: iPad Air (5th generation) OS version: iPadOS 18.6 Next Steps When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead. Steps I have done: I have signed all agreements and all bank account details are in order. Everything in the In-app-purchases section of the AppStoreConnect in an Active state. I have triple checked that the configuration of the in-app purchases is correct (product IDs, amounts, etc.) I have created test accounts and tested in sandbox What I don't understand from the reviewer's response is what receipts validation are they talking about? I have no payment servers (the whole concept of using Apple's in-app-purchases service is to not have to deal with my own payment implementation). The StoreKit documentation specifically reads: For each transaction that represents a current purchase, your app delivers the purchased products. To validate purchases, you can verify transactions on your server, or rely on StoreKit’s verification. So now I am confused. The reviewer's response is so vague, and so completely deprived of details that I have no idea what to do... Does the problem concern the product purchase trigger and the that in production environment it does not trigger? Is it that I haven't implemented a receipt validation? Do I need to? Although the documentation mentions that it can be done by StoreKit, I couldn't find anything concerning how to do it :( Can someone give me a hand please? Cheers, Alex

IOS IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store but this app works on Android and google play store
works perfectly on android but doesn't work at all on IOS and i have used the same bundle id and product ids on both stores. The error that i get on IOS is : "IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store" Here are the things that i've done: Created an App ID on the apple developer portal with the correct capabilities I have enabled the correct capabilities on the xcode project Unity Framework is embed and signed, Storekit (do not embed) In singin and capabilities in-app purchases is there I am using testflight to submit the app with a distribution certificate that appears to be valid I've checked the the bundle identifier and it's the same everywhere (unity project, xcode project, App ID) All of the products are cleared for sale and are in the status "ready to submit" I always uninstall the old app version before testing the new one My banking updates are still processing does this effect TestFlight IAP Paid Apps Agreement is in Pending User Info state does this effect also I still haven't filled out the tax forms, so I'm wondering if I need to complete them before my app's in-app purchases (IAPs) work in TestFlight.

iOS misleading users with payment notification timing
I'm getting really frustrated with emails from my App users who believe they've been charged for a free in-app purchase when they haven't. My App offers many in-app purchases of digital items and I give 4 of these away for free to let users get comfortable with how it works in-app. Over the last couple of years I've had a steady increase in angry emails from users who accuse me of fraud by charging them for a free item. I couldn't figure out for a while what this was as they would leave a 1 star rating, delete the app and ignore my emails for more information. Recently I had someone a bit more patient engage and explain it to me. The purchase for some reason popped up on my notifications right when I bought the [Free Item in my app]. It was from a movie I bought and the bill was delayed. The timing of that notification is what is misleading users about the free in-app purchase. Can someone take note of this please and perhaps delay any payment notifications so they aren't sent when the in-app purchase is for FREE? Thanks!

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

Unexpected 401 Unauthorized response from production endpoint when using sandbox transactionId with Get Transaction Info API
We have encountered an issue when verifying transactions using the Get Transaction Info API. We tested the behavior in both the sandbox and production environments and observed the following results. When calling the production endpoint: https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId} with a transactionId generated in the sandbox environment, the API returns HTTP 401 Unauthorized. However, based on the documentation and common understanding, we expected HTTP 404 Not Found in this case. Using the same JWT token, if we call the sandbox endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId}, we receive HTTP 200 OK with the expected response body. We have also confirmed that the same behavior occurs when using the Get Transaction History API — it works correctly in the sandbox environment but returns 401 in production. Could you please confirm whether this behavior (receiving 401 instead of 404) is expected by design, or if it indicates a potential issue? If this is not the intended behavior, we would appreciate any guidance or instructions to resolve it. App Store StoreKit web hooks doesn't work o=in the Sandbox env.
Hey! We're implementing In-App Purchase Subscriptions and we were able to receive "App Store Server Notifications" on our "Sandbox Server URL". But the last event we received 22 hours ago. We are able to verify transactions and finish them, but receive no webhooks. We changed nothing on our server or its configurations but the notifications stoped to come. We consulted the API (https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/history) and it says the same as we see - the last event was 22hrs ago. I checked all the advices from here as well (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/805806?answerId=864483022#864483022). Is there any Status page for the Store Kit Sandbox services? Migration Subscription API returns 500 error
We got Advanced Commerce API and the generic product identifiers approved. StoreKit returning 0 products (IAPError: storekit_no_response)
Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue where StoreKit is returning 0 products from the App Store, even though my auto-renewable subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect. When calling queryProductDetails using Flutter’s in_app_purchase package (which uses StoreKit under the hood), StoreKit reports success but returns an empty list. The logs show the following error: IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: "StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform.") InAppPurchase.isAvailable() returns true, but no product details are received. Already verified: • Subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect • Product identifiers in the app match those in App Store Connect exactly • In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode • Paid Applications Agreement, banking, and tax details are active and complete • Using the latest version of the Flutter in_app_purchase package StoreKit should normally return the list of available products in the production environment, but it consistently returns an empty array along with the “storekit_no_response” error. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found any potential causes for StoreKit failing to return products in the production environment? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

External Link Account API - ExternalLinkAccount.canOpen() always return false
This is a hybrid app built with JavaScript (Vue) + Capacitor. It is a reader app and has been authorized by Apple to use the External Link Account Entitlement, allowing users to manage their subscriptions outside of the app. I have implemented the External Link Account API. When I click on "Gerenciar Assinatura em...", I use the External Link Account API to check if the modal is available (using ExternalLinkAccount.canOpen()). I always get "false". my plugin in swift: my app: I believe this is due to the fact that I am in a development environment. My project is configured correctly in the following files: info.plist and App.entitlements. I also have the authorization in my profile visible in Xcode. I have attached screenshots for validation. The question is: should the External Link Account API work in a test environment? Issue that subscription products (monthly subscription and annual subscription) cannot be obtained from App Store Connect
Dear my friends, I have set up two subscriptions (monthly and annual) in App Store Connect. By configuring with StoreKit, I can import the configurations from App Store Connect into the local .storekit file, and the program can run normally. However, when the StoreKit configuration is set to NONE, I am unable to retrieve product information from App Store Connect. The code for fetching the product list is as follows. Why does AppStore.requestReview(in:) require NSViewController Parameter?
Looking to update one of my apps that uses SKStoreReviewController +requestReview (deprecated) to AppStore.requestReview(in:) umm...I have a few of questions... Why is an NSViewController parameter required? It's really not so uncommon for an AppKit app to just use NSWindowController with a window that does not use NSViewController... It should be possible to present the review request in a standalone alert (attached to a window is preferred IMO but it still should be possible to ask in separate window). 3)...why Swift..(err nevermind) Ideally: AppStore requestReview should take a NSWindow parameter but that parameter should be optional. If nil the request should be presented in a standalone window (like an alert). If non nil..present as a sheet on the window. Why a view controller? Maybe I'm missing something.

Transaction.currentEntitlements returning empty response
Hi there 👋🏻 We are facing an issue that started on 24 June 2025 where some users that have an active subscription with an offer are not being able to use/restore their subscription since Transaction.currentEntitlements is empty. We have tried to call the server with this endpoint https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/get-transaction-history and it's returning the correct transactions correctly. Any idea what is happening?

AppStore.sync() not restoring purchases
On an app that was using the old API for In-App Purchases (StoreKit 1). The app is already published on the App Store. The purchase is non-consumable. While trying to migrate to StoreKit 2, I'm unable to restore purchases. Specifically displaying and purchasing products works as expected, but when deleting and reinstalling the app, and then trying to restore purchases I can't do it. I'm trying to restore them using the new APIs but it doesn't seem to be working. What I have tried so far: I'm listening for transaction updates during the whole lifetime of the app, with: Task.detached { for await result in Transaction.updates { if case let .verified(safe) = result { } } } I have a button that calls this method, but other than prompting to log in again with the Apple ID it doesn't seem to have any effect at all: try? await AppStore.sync() This doesn't return any item for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements { if case let .verified(transaction) = result { } } This doesn't return any item for await result in Transaction.all { if case let .verified(transaction) = result { } } As mentioned before I'm trying this after purchasing the item and deleting the app. So I'm sure it should be able to restore the purchase. Am trying this both with a Configuration.storekit file on the simulator, and without it on a real device, in the Sandbox Environment. Has anyone being able to restore purchases using StoreKit 2? PD: I already filed a feedback report on Feedback Assistant, but so far the only thing that they have replied is: Because StoreKit Testing in Xcode is a local environment, and the data is tied to the app, when you delete the app you're also deleting all the transaction data for that app in the Xcode environment. The code snippets provided are correct usage of the API. So yes, using a Configuration.storekit file won't work on restoring purchases, but if I can't restore them on the Sandbox Environment I'm afraid that this won't work once released, leaving my users totally unable to restore what they have already purchased.

Issue with "Transaction.currentEntitlements": Some paid users cannot use the features of our subscription plan
Some paid users are unable to use the paid features unlocked by purchasing our subscription plan. It seems that this is due to StoreKit 2's Transaction.currentEntitlements not working the way we would expect it to work. Are you also encountering this issue? Do you have any idea to improve this situation? At launch, our app checks if the user is subscribed to the plan, using Transaction.currentEntitlements. As a result, the currentEntitlements array was empty. Our app then fetches the products from StoreKit 2 using Product.products(for:). As a result, the Product.SubscriptionInfo.RenewalState value of the corresponding Product (product.subscription.status.first.state) is subscribed, which confirms that the user has indeed purchased our plan, but seems to contradict the absence of the corresponding transaction in Transaction.currentEntitlements. Proactive in-app purchase restore and a restore purchase button calling the AppStore.sync() method are implemented, but using the button did not solve the issue.

[macOS] AppTransaction questions (internet connection requirement)
Hello, I hope to find out more about how AppTransaction works on macOS, specifically about its internet connection requirements: if I use this to validate that the app is a legit purchase from the Mac App Store, I would not want it to have an always-on requirement just to validate. Does AppTransaction require the user to always be online for AppTransaction.shared ? When an app is downloaded from the Mac App Store, is the data needed for AppTransaction automatically embedded during that download, or is that data downloaded upon first launch of the app, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch time? Once the data/receipt has been downloaded by AppTransaction, is it cached until the app's next update, or is it cleared at some time during the version's life and needs to be re-downloaded, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch? Where is that receipt/data stored? Also, if you don't mind me sneaking in this non-related but sort of related question, in terms of receipt validation: Does macOS Sequoia's MAC address rotation feature affect receipt validation in any way when using IOKit? Facing the same error
We were facing the same error yesterday and tried many different solutions, but none of them worked. However, today the issue resolved itself and everything is working properly now. The issue we were facing was: #1. not getting any product in didReceive method of storekit. #2. it was working sometimes (i.e. if we try 3 times then 1 time we were getting the product

DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification with a null gracePeriodExpiresDate
We are seeking clarification on the behavior of App Store Server Notifications V2. Summary In our production environment, we received a notification with notificationType: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW and subtype: GRACE_PERIOD. However, the gracePeriodExpiresDate field in the payload was null. We understand this notification indicates that a user's subscription has entered a grace period. The null value for its expiration date is unexpected, and we are looking for an official explanation of this behavior and the correct way to handle it. The Scenario Here are the details of the notification we received: Notification Type: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification Subtype: GRACE_PERIOD Environment: Production Upon decoding the signedRenewalInfo JWS from the responseBodyV2, we found that the gracePeriodExpiresDate field inside the JWSRenewalInfoDecodedPayload was null. The notificationUUID for this event was in the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Our Implementation and its Impact Our backend is designed to ensure service continuity during a grace period, as recommended in the documentation. Current Logic: Receive the DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW / GRACE_PERIOD notification. Extract the gracePeriodExpiresDate. Extend the user's subscription expiration date in our database to match this date. Because the gracePeriodExpiresDate was null in this case, our logic failed, creating a risk of service interruption for the user. Context and Investigation We have performed the following checks: App Store Connect Settings: We have confirmed that Billing Grace Period is enabled for the relevant subscription group. Sandbox Environment: We have been unable to reproduce this scenario in the Sandbox. User Context: We believe the user in this case was experiencing a failed payment when attempting to renew for the first time after a free trial period. Questions To ensure we handle this scenario correctly, we would appreciate clarification on the following points: Conditions for Null: Under what specific conditions does a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notification with a GRACE_PERIOD subtype contain a null gracePeriodExpiresDate? Expected Behavior: Is this null value an expected behavior for certain scenarios, such as the first failed renewal after a free trial? How to switch in-app-purchases from sandbox to production?
Hello all, I am new to implementing payments in an app, and thus completely at sea here. I have created a small app that I have set a one-time (non-consumable) payment for a premium version. In the Xcode simulator (on all platforms) and on any physical test devices I have tried, the payment works as expected. I have a sandbox account and various test accounts, both dummy and actual real accounts (friends and family). Everywhere everything works perfectly fine. Yet, when I submit for review I get a rejection with this contents: We found that your in-app purchase products exhibited one or more bugs which create a poor user experience. Specifically, the app still failed to load the in-app purchase. Please review the details and resources below and complete the next steps. Review device details: Device type: iPad Air (5th generation) OS version: iPadOS 18.6 Next Steps When validating receipts on your server, your server needs to be able to handle a production-signed app getting its receipts from Apple’s test environment. The recommended approach is for your production server to always validate receipts against the production App Store first. If validation fails with the error code "Sandbox receipt used in production," you should validate against the test environment instead. Additionally, note that the Account Holder must accept the Paid Apps Agreement in the Business section of App Store Connect before paid in-app purchases will function. Steps I have done: I have signed all agreements and all bank account details are in order. Everything in the In-app-purchases section of the AppStoreConnect in an Active state. I have triple checked that the configuration of the in-app purchases is correct (product IDs, amounts, etc.) I have created test accounts and tested in sandbox What I don't understand from the reviewer's response is what receipts validation are they talking about? I have no payment servers (the whole concept of using Apple's in-app-purchases service is to not have to deal with my own payment implementation). The StoreKit documentation specifically reads: For each transaction that represents a current purchase, your app delivers the purchased products. To validate purchases, you can verify transactions on your server, or rely on StoreKit’s verification. So now I am confused. The reviewer's response is so vague, and so completely deprived of details that I have no idea what to do... Does the problem concern the product purchase trigger and the that in production environment it does not trigger? Is it that I haven't implemented a receipt validation? Do I need to? Although the documentation mentions that it can be done by StoreKit, I couldn't find anything concerning how to do it :( Can someone give me a hand please? Cheers, Alex

IOS IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store but this app works on Android and google play store
works perfectly on android but doesn't work at all on IOS and i have used the same bundle id and product ids on both stores. The error that i get on IOS is : "IAP initialization failed: NoProductsAvailable - No Product returned from store" Here are the things that i've done: Created an App ID on the apple developer portal with the correct capabilities I have enabled the correct capabilities on the xcode project Unity Framework is embed and signed, Storekit (do not embed) In singin and capabilities in-app purchases is there I am using testflight to submit the app with a distribution certificate that appears to be valid I've checked the the bundle identifier and it's the same everywhere (unity project, xcode project, App ID) All of the products are cleared for sale and are in the status "ready to submit" I always uninstall the old app version before testing the new one My banking updates are still processing does this effect TestFlight IAP Paid Apps Agreement is in Pending User Info state does this effect also I still haven't filled out the tax forms, so I'm wondering if I need to complete them before my app's in-app purchases (IAPs) work in TestFlight.

iOS misleading users with payment notification timing
I'm getting really frustrated with emails from my App users who believe they've been charged for a free in-app purchase when they haven't. My App offers many in-app purchases of digital items and I give 4 of these away for free to let users get comfortable with how it works in-app. Over the last couple of years I've had a steady increase in angry emails from users who accuse me of fraud by charging them for a free item. I couldn't figure out for a while what this was as they would leave a 1 star rating, delete the app and ignore my emails for more information. Recently I had someone a bit more patient engage and explain it to me. The purchase for some reason popped up on my notifications right when I bought the [Free Item in my app]. It was from a movie I bought and the bill was delayed. The timing of that notification is what is misleading users about the free in-app purchase. Can someone take note of this please and perhaps delay any payment notifications so they aren't sent when the in-app purchase is for FREE? Thanks!

Cannot Cancel Sandbox Subscription
I did an in app purchase in my development app and now I cannot get rid of it. It is a "monthly" subscription that seems to renew every 1 day. I can see the subscription when I go to settings then tap on Subscriptions. Then I tap the item and choose "Cancel Subscription", revealing a new modal sheet saying "Confirm Cancellation". When I "Confirm", I get the popup: "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed, please try again later". However, this is anything BUT temporary, has gone on for a couple weeks now. As such, I am unable to test subscriptions in my development app. I've tried logging out, restarting, different devices, etc. The phone is logged in under my primary user account, and I may not have been logged into sandbox email when I did the purchase. Can someone forcibly remove it for me?

Unexpected 401 Unauthorized response from production endpoint when using sandbox transactionId with Get Transaction Info API
We have encountered an issue when verifying transactions using the Get Transaction Info API. We tested the behavior in both the sandbox and production environments and observed the following results. When calling the production endpoint: https://api.storekit.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId} with a transactionId generated in the sandbox environment, the API returns HTTP 401 Unauthorized. However, based on the documentation and common understanding, we expected HTTP 404 Not Found in this case. Using the same JWT token, if we call the sandbox endpoint: https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId}, we receive HTTP 200 OK with the expected response body. We have also confirmed that the same behavior occurs when using the Get Transaction History API — it works correctly in the sandbox environment but returns 401 in production. App Store StoreKit web hooks doesn't work o=in the Sandbox env.
Hey! We're implementing In-App Purchase Subscriptions and we were able to receive "App Store Server Notifications" on our "Sandbox Server URL". But the last event we received 22 hours ago. We are able to verify transactions and finish them, but receive no webhooks. We changed nothing on our server or its configurations but the notifications stoped to come. We consulted the API (https://api.storekit-sandbox.itunes.apple.com/inApps/v1/notifications/history) and it says the same as we see - the last event was 22hrs ago. I checked all the advices from here as well (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/805806?answerId=864483022#864483022). Is there any Status page for the Store Kit Sandbox services? Migration Subscription API returns 500 error
We got Advanced Commerce API and the generic product identifiers approved. StoreKit returning 0 products (IAPError: storekit_no_response)
Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue where StoreKit is returning 0 products from the App Store, even though my auto-renewable subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect. When calling queryProductDetails using Flutter’s in_app_purchase package (which uses StoreKit under the hood), StoreKit reports success but returns an empty list. The logs show the following error: IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: "StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform.") InAppPurchase.isAvailable() returns true, but no product details are received. Already verified: • Subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect • Product identifiers in the app match those in App Store Connect exactly • In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode • Paid Applications Agreement, banking, and tax details are active and complete • Using the latest version of the Flutter in_app_purchase package StoreKit should normally return the list of available products in the production environment, but it consistently returns an empty array along with the “storekit_no_response” error. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found any potential causes for StoreKit failing to return products in the production environment? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

External Link Account API - ExternalLinkAccount.canOpen() always return false
This is a hybrid app built with JavaScript (Vue) + Capacitor. It is a reader app and has been authorized by Apple to use the External Link Account Entitlement, allowing users to manage their subscriptions outside of the app. I have implemented the External Link Account API. When I click on "Gerenciar Assinatura em...", I use the External Link Account API to check if the modal is available (using ExternalLinkAccount.canOpen()). I always get "false". my plugin in swift: my app: I believe this is due to the fact that I am in a development environment. My project is configured correctly in the following files: info.plist and App.entitlements. I also have the authorization in my profile visible in Xcode. I have attached screenshots for validation. The question is: should the External Link Account API work in a test environment? Issue that subscription products (monthly subscription and annual subscription) cannot be obtained from App Store Connect

Why does AppStore.requestReview(in:) require NSViewController Parameter?
Looking to update one of my apps that uses SKStoreReviewController +requestReview (deprecated) to AppStore.requestReview(in:) umm...I have a few of questions... Why is an NSViewController parameter required? It's really not so uncommon for an AppKit app to just use NSWindowController with a window that does not use NSViewController... It should be possible to present the review request in a standalone alert (attached to a window is preferred IMO but it still should be possible to ask in separate window). 3)...why Swift..(err nevermind) Ideally: AppStore requestReview should take a NSWindow parameter but that parameter should be optional. If nil the request should be presented in a standalone window (like an alert). If non nil..present as a sheet on the window. Why a view controller? Maybe I'm missing something.

Transaction.currentEntitlements returning empty response
Hi there 👋🏻 We are facing an issue that started on 24 June 2025 where some users that have an active subscription with an offer are not being able to use/restore their subscription since Transaction.currentEntitlements is empty. We have tried to call the server with this endpoint https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/get-transaction-history and it's returning the correct transactions correctly. Any idea what is happening?

AppStore.sync() not restoring purchases
On an app that was using the old API for In-App Purchases (StoreKit 1). The app is already published on the App Store. The purchase is non-consumable. While trying to migrate to StoreKit 2, I'm unable to restore purchases. Specifically displaying and purchasing products works as expected, but when deleting and reinstalling the app, and then trying to restore purchases I can't do it. I'm trying to restore them using the new APIs but it doesn't seem to be working. What I have tried so far: I'm listening for transaction updates during the whole lifetime of the app, with: Task.detached { for await result in Transaction.updates { if case let .verified(safe) = result { } } } I have a button that calls this method, but other than prompting to log in again with the Apple ID it doesn't seem to have any effect at all: try? await AppStore.sync() This doesn't return any item for await result in Transaction.currentEntitlements { if case let .verified(transaction) = result { } } This doesn't return any item for await result in Transaction.all { if case let .verified(transaction) = result { } } As mentioned before I'm trying this after purchasing the item and deleting the app. So I'm sure it should be able to restore the purchase. Am trying this both with a Configuration.storekit file on the simulator, and without it on a real device, in the Sandbox Environment. Has anyone being able to restore purchases using StoreKit 2? PD: I already filed a feedback report on Feedback Assistant, but so far the only thing that they have replied is: Because StoreKit Testing in Xcode is a local environment, and the data is tied to the app, when you delete the app you're also deleting all the transaction data for that app in the Xcode environment. The code snippets provided are correct usage of the API. So yes, using a Configuration.storekit file won't work on restoring purchases, but if I can't restore them on the Sandbox Environment I'm afraid that this won't work once released, leaving my users totally unable to restore what they have already purchased.

Issue with "Transaction.currentEntitlements": Some paid users cannot use the features of our subscription plan
Some paid users are unable to use the paid features unlocked by purchasing our subscription plan. It seems that this is due to StoreKit 2's Transaction.currentEntitlements not working the way we would expect it to work. Are you also encountering this issue? Do you have any idea to improve this situation? At launch, our app checks if the user is subscribed to the plan, using Transaction.currentEntitlements. As a result, the currentEntitlements array was empty. Our app then fetches the products from StoreKit 2 using Product.products(for:). As a result, the Product.SubscriptionInfo.RenewalState value of the corresponding Product (product.subscription.status.first.state) is subscribed, which confirms that the user has indeed purchased our plan, but seems to contradict the absence of the corresponding transaction in Transaction.currentEntitlements. Proactive in-app purchase restore and a restore purchase button calling the AppStore.sync() method are implemented, but using the button did not solve the issue.

[macOS] AppTransaction questions (internet connection requirement)
Hello, I hope to find out more about how AppTransaction works on macOS, specifically about its internet connection requirements: if I use this to validate that the app is a legit purchase from the Mac App Store, I would not want it to have an always-on requirement just to validate. Does AppTransaction require the user to always be online for AppTransaction.shared ? When an app is downloaded from the Mac App Store, is the data needed for AppTransaction automatically embedded during that download, or is that data downloaded upon first launch of the app, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch time? Once the data/receipt has been downloaded by AppTransaction, is it cached until the app's next update, or is it cleared at some time during the version's life and needs to be re-downloaded, therefore requiring an internet connection at launch? Where is that receipt/data stored? Also, if you don't mind me sneaking in this non-related but sort of related question, in terms of receipt validation: Does macOS Sequoia's MAC address rotation feature affect receipt validation in any way when using IOKit? DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification with a null gracePeriodExpiresDate
We are seeking clarification on the behavior of App Store Server Notifications V2. Summary In our production environment, we received a notification with notificationType: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW and subtype: GRACE_PERIOD. However, the gracePeriodExpiresDate field in the payload was null. We understand this notification indicates that a user's subscription has entered a grace period. The null value for its expiration date is unexpected, and we are looking for an official explanation of this behavior and the correct way to handle it. The Scenario Here are the details of the notification we received: Notification Type: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification Subtype: GRACE_PERIOD Environment: Production Upon decoding the signedRenewalInfo JWS from the responseBodyV2, we found that the gracePeriodExpiresDate field inside the JWSRenewalInfoDecodedPayload was null. The notificationUUID for this event was in the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Our Implementation and its Impact Our backend is designed to ensure service continuity during a grace period, as recommended in the documentation. Current Logic: Receive the DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW / GRACE_PERIOD notification. Extract the gracePeriodExpiresDate. Extend the user's subscription expiration date in our database to match this date. Because the gracePeriodExpiresDate was null in this case, our logic failed, creating a risk of service interruption for the user. Context and Investigation We have performed the following checks: App Store Connect Settings: We have confirmed that Billing Grace Period is enabled for the relevant subscription group. Sandbox Environment: We have been unable to reproduce this scenario in the Sandbox. User Context: We believe the user in this case was experiencing a failed payment when attempting to renew for the first time after a free trial period. Questions To ensure we handle this scenario correctly, we would appreciate clarification on the following points: Conditions for Null: Under what specific conditions does a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notification with a GRACE_PERIOD subtype contain a null gracePeriodExpiresDate?
