iPhone push notifications stop: DeviceTokenNotForTopic
We are facing an issue: push notifications are not being received. We are using the Marketing Cloud SDK for push notifications. On install, the app correctly registers for push notifications. We pass the required information to Marketing Cloud — for example, contact key, token, etc. Marketing Cloud also confirms that the configuration is set up, and we have tried sending push notifications with proper delivery settings. The issue is that after some time, the device gets automatically opted out in the Marketing Cloud portal. When we consulted their team, they said this is caused by the “DeviceTokenNotForTopic” error received from APNs. I have verified the certificates and bundle ID from my end — everything looks correct. Device: iPhone 15, iPhone 17 iOS: 18.7.2, 26.1

AlarmKit alarms do not fire when foregrounded app is in landscape
Hello! When setting an alarm in an AlarmKit app, the alarm will not fire properly/reliably (the alert presentation is not shown) while the device has an app foregrounded in the landscape orientation. This behaviour has been present since the betas, however until the first party Reminders app showed the behaviour in the iOS 26.2 beta I suspected the issue was in my own code. The behaviour is exhibited when scheduling alarms in several AlarmKit apps: The Reminders app The AlarmKit WWDC Demo Project My own AlarmKit app However alarms scheduled by the stock Clock app do not seem to exhibit the behaviour. Minimal repro with first party app: Be using iOS 26.2 beta Open Reminders app Create an urgent reminder for a time in the not too distant future Open Mail.app Change to landscape orientation Wait for the fire time Observe the phone vibrates at the correct time but no alarm is fired Drag the notifications pane down, observe the LiveActivity has been started Change to portrait orientation Observe alarm fires I have noticed this behaviour from the AlarmKit apps mentioned while foregrounding other apps besides Mail, both first and third party: Photos YouTube Netflix The behaviour does not seem to occur when the foregrounded app is restricted to portrait mode, no matter the actual orientation of the device. In the case of my own app I have tried a multitude of ideas to get it to work reliably, getting alarms to fire in landscape is very intermittent at best and most often works after a fresh reboot. I've submitted a Feedback for the Reminders app: FB20956492. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

Push Notifications largely not get transmitted
I have three apps with a very low user rate, so it's easier to compare. In all three apps, when I send a notification to APNs, over two-thirds receive a "Stored - Device Offline" status, but only one or two notifications are delivered afterward. No message has been sent after that. The total number of recipients is 89; 26 were delivered to the device, and 62 were stored in APNs. One was delivered from storage, and one was discarded. All app users are located in the same region, and mobile internet or Wi-Fi is available everywhere. I can't believe that so many iPhone users aren't getting connected to APNs to receive the stored message. Or are event not connected. Or are there any other reasons why a notification cant be transmitted. (User beahaviour, time of not using the app or something else?)

Weather Notifications
I'm strugling about the way how to code notifications for my weather aplication. I use data from my server that receives weather changing values from my own weather station and want to notify user of my app when eg strong wind will blow or temperature go under eg 3℃ etc. The weather station has 8 sensors so there is sometimes a lot of data changing in particular minute that i set to parse data from server and notify user about it. But the notifications only works only when app is on and couple minutes after locking display. So please what could i use strategy for the app to works even when the app sleeps ?

Silent Push Notification Handling Behavior
I'm observing that when a silent push notification is sent to our app, is is started up in the background for 30 seconds before being suspended until the app is launched by the user. This causes data to persist from the silent push notification to the user app launch. I couldn't find documentation on this behavior for silent push notifications, and was wondering if it's possible to have the app terminate after handling the silent push notification. Is there documentation on the general flow of silent push notifications as well? I'm able to handle the edge cases if the app has to be suspended until user launch, but just want to confirm that this is the expected behavior before I go about handling it this way.

Not receiving apple server notification v2 on production URL
Hello, previously i have tested the purchase via test flight and the server notification was sent to my sandbox url. Now when I made the purchase from live app, my server did not receive any notification even though the production url was the same as the sandbox url. The purchase was for a consumable product. Please help, thanks.

Backgrounded app - Local Notifications
I'm working on an app that syncs with Apple Health events. Every time an event occurs, the app should send a notification. The problem occurs when the app is backgrounded or force-closed; it can no longer send local notifications, and because these events can occur at any time, scheduled notifications can't be used. I'm just wondering if anyone's found a creative way around this. I know we can't override system behaviour, I'm just thinking of other alternative solutions for the matter.

How does AccessoryNotifications forward notifications to BLE accessories? What Service/Characteristic should the accessory implement?
Environment: iOS 26.4 beta Xcode 26.4 beta Framework: AccessoryNotifications, AccessorySetupKit, AccessoryTransportExtension Description: I'm implementing notification forwarding to a custom BLE accessory using the new AccessoryNotifications framework in iOS 26.4. I've set up an AccessoryDataProvider extension following the documentation, but I'm unclear about how the data is actually transmitted to the BLE accessory. Current Implementation: Main App - Uses AccessorySetupKit to discover and pair accessories: let descriptor = ASDiscoveryDescriptor() descriptor.bluetoothServiceUUID = CBUUID(string: "FEE0") let displayItem = ASPickerDisplayItem( name: "Notification Accessory", productImage: UIImage(systemName: "applewatch")!, descriptor: descriptor ) accessorySession.showPicker(for: [displayItem]) { error in // Handle error } AccessoryDataProvider Extension - Implements NotificationsForwarding.AccessoryNotificationsHandler: @main struct AccessoryDataProvider: AccessoryTransportExtension.AccessoryDataProvider { @AppExtensionPoint.Bind static var boundExtensionPoint: AppExtensionPoint { Identifier("com.apple.accessory-data-provider") Implementing { AccessoryNotifications.NotificationsForwarding { NotificationHandler() } } } } // NotificationHandler sends messages via: let message = AccessoryMessage { AccessoryMessage.Payload(transport: .bluetooth, data: data) } try await session?.sendMessage(message) Info.plist Configuration: EXExtensionPointIdentifier com.apple.accessory-data-provider NSAccessorySetupBluetoothServices FEE0 Questions: What BLE Service and Characteristic should the accessory advertise? - The documentation mentions specifying transport: .bluetooth, but doesn't explain what Service/Characteristic the accessory needs to implement to receive the notification data. 2. How does AccessoryMessage with transport: .bluetooth actually transmit data? - Is there a specific Apple-defined BLE protocol? - Does the accessory need to run specific firmware or support a particular protocol stack? 3. Is there any documentation about the accessory-side implementation? - The iOS-side documentation is clear, but I couldn't find information about what the BLE peripheral needs to implement. 4. Is MFi certification required for the accessory? - The documentation doesn't explicitly mention MFi, but it's unclear if custom third-party accessories can use this framework. Any guidance on how the BLE communication works under the hood would be greatly appreciated.

Questions for AlarmKit
We are so interested in AlarmKit which is presented at WWDC25. While we planning our app using AlarmKit, We had a few questions come to mind and were hoping you could provide some clarity. Please excuse the rather long list of questions, as we don't currently have a device available to test these features ourselves. System Actions Related Is there a limit to the number of alarms that can be scheduled using AlarmKit? Are alarms scheduled with AlarmKit persistent across device reboots? When an alarm is dismissed (either by swiping or pressing the power button), can our app detect this action and execute code in response? Can we control the behavior of the physical Lock Screen buttons when an AlarmKit alarm is active, for instance, to trigger a snooze action? Does AlarmKit function correctly during Do Not Disturb or Low Power Mode? What is the expected behavior when an alarm from our app (using AlarmKit) overlaps with an alarm from another app that also uses AlarmKit? Which one is going to get its priority? Thank you for your help. Sincerely

About Delay issues with iPhone VoIP applications
We are encountering the following issue with our VoIP application for iPhone, published on the App Store, and would appreciate your guidance on possible countermeasures. The VoIP application (callee side) utilizes a Wi-Fi network. The sequence leading to the issue is as follows: VoIP App (callee): Launches iPhone (callee): Locks (e.g., by short-pressing the power button) VoIP App (callee): Transitions to a suspended state VoIP App (caller): Initiates a VoIP call VoIP App (callee): Receives a local push notification VoIP App (callee): Answers the incoming call VoIP App (callee): Executes performAnswerCallAction() After this, the VoIP App (callee) uses "NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval" to manage internal processing timing. However, the processing sometimes takes longer than the specified waiting time. Specifically, delays of several seconds can occur. We understood that if the user is interacting with the screen and both the iPhone and the VoIP app are in an active state, the VoIP app's processing would not be delayed. However, can significant delays (several seconds) in application processing still occur even when the iPhone is in an active state (i.e., the user is interacting with the screen)?"

Delivery of expired voip notifications
Hello, We are facing issue that sometimes a voip notification gets delivered after it is expired. The issue can be simply demonstrated we set the device to flight mode, and after 20s we disable flight mode. We still receive the voip notification. We are setting the expiration header as following apns-expiry=0, so from my understanding it should not be delivered if the device was not able to receive the notification in the fist attempt. I have read following thread https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/778512, from which I understand this is a long standing issue. Hence my question is, is there any way how we can notify the call kit that the call is actually no longer valid, and do not display the call to the user at all? Currently we are forced to always display CallKit call when the notification comes, and some of our users are confused that they see a missed call which they did not have any chance to pick up. Please let me know if you need any more information. Best Regards, Adam Chlupacek

Alternate App Icon Change Does Not Reflect in Notification Center on iOS 18.1+
Version: iOS 18.1 and later (works as expected on iOS 18.0 and earlier) Area: SpringBoard / Notification Center / App Icon Rendering Description: When changing the app's alternate icon using UIApplication.setAlternateIconName(_:completionHandler:), the icon is updated correctly on the Home Screen and App Switcher. However, in Notification Center, the old app icon is still shown for notifications, even after the change has completed. This issue only occurs on iOS 18.1 and later. In iOS 18.0 and earlier, Notification Center correctly reflects the updated icon. - Steps to reproduce: Create an iOS app with alternate app icons configured in the Info.plist. Use UIApplication.shared.setAlternateIconName("IconName") to change the icon at runtime. Send a notification. Pull down Notification Center and observe the icon shown beside the notification. - Expected Behavior: Notification Center should reflect the updated (alternate) app icon immediately after the change. - Actual Behavior: Notification Center continues to display the old (primary) app icon. The new icon appears correctly on the Home Screen and App Switcher. Restarting the device does cause Notification Center to update and reflect the correct icon, which suggests a cache or refresh issue in SpringBoard or Notification Center. - Notes: Issue introduced in iOS 18.1; not present in 18.0. Reproduces on both physical devices and simulators. Occurs with both scheduled local notifications and remote notifications. Restarting the device updates the Notification Center icon, but this is not a viable user-facing workaround.
